00:03 For the first time in nearly two calendar years,
00:06 since June 2022, Walker Bueller returns to the bump for
00:11 the Los Angeles Dodgers.
00:13 Now a little bit of rust to be expected for Bueller.
00:16 He gives up three earned runs in the opening two frames, but
00:20 his Dodgers had his back with the bats.
00:23 Shohei Otani once again, his fourth long ball in the last three games.
00:28 Now leads all of MLB with 11,
00:31 LA answered right away in the home half of the first.
00:35 It was followed by a Frederick Freeman home run.
00:38 They go back to back and a couple of other homers from the Dodgers later in
00:44 those innings, but not much later DRS because all nine runs in this baseball
00:48 game scored in the first three innings as LA wins and
00:52 Buellers return six to three over the Miami Marlins.
00:56 LA closed as a minus 330 Moneyline favorite.
01:01 They made good on that number.
01:03 >> Yeah, and yesterday did have some RBI props in this game Shohei Otani,
01:07 which hit his right away in the first inning with that home run.
01:10 Also was looking for a Max Muncy chance to get an RBI, didn't get it.
01:13 But that's the beauty of taking plus money wagers on RBI.
01:16 Go one and one, you're gonna come away with a little bit of extra scratch.
01:19 But yesterday we broke this game down on Moneyline and
01:22 Kevin asked me a question.
01:23 He goes, you know what, Walker Bueller is coming back after such an extended period
01:26 of time of being away from baseball.
01:27 And let's just say being a $3 favorite, why don't you just take like two and
01:31 a half runs with the Marlins to see what happens?
01:33 And quite frankly, he was right early on because you got three runs
01:36 off of Walker Bueller within the first two innings.
01:39 But my counterpoint before that game started as we were talking in the afternoon
01:42 was, why don't you just take the over in this game, which was eight and a half?
01:45 Because the one thing that you do know is Walker Bueller can have an average start,
01:48 which quite frankly was quite average last night.
01:51 But you know their bats are gonna bail you out against a pitcher
01:53 that we don't trust in Munoz.
01:55 And you saw that right away.
01:56 Six earned runs off Munoz here after the third inning.
01:59 That total was already put in the bank.
02:01 So a couple different ways to bet where if you would have said, hey,
02:03 give me two and a half runs.
02:04 I'm gonna score three times in the first two innings.
02:06 You might win that game outright if you're the Marlins.
02:08 But those Dodger bats are always going to rescue average pitching performances
02:12 on a night to night basis because of how good they are.
02:14 And they did it again last night.
02:16 You don't talk about bad vibes like, no,
02:17 we're down two nothing before we can get to the plate.
02:19 And by the end of the first inning, you have the lead again.
02:22 And then also you lose that lead and
02:24 then you gain it right back in the bottom of the second inning.
02:26 As a pitcher's best friend, say, hey, kid, man, it's a brand new ball game.
02:29 Every inning, we'll keep putting you back in the lead.
02:31 Do your thing here, and the Dodgers end up winning.
