00:23Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, or OECD, estimates that Indonesia's economy grew by 5.1% in 2024 and increased by 5.2% in 2025.
00:39In the May 2024 Economic Outlook Report, the OECD said that domestic demand is still pushed by private consumption, and the growth of gross domestic product will increase in 2024 and 2025.
00:53Meanwhile, the OECD estimates that inflation fell below 3% in 2024 and did not change in 2025.
01:01This projection is still within the target of the Bank of Indonesia's inflation of 1.5% to 3.5%.
01:08The increase in global uncertainty and the lower price of commodities has reduced commodity exports nominally, although the transaction deficit continues to increase and the reserve of deficit is expected to be stable.
01:21The OECD said that after the BI raised the rate of inflation in April 2024, which was triggered by a decrease in the value of currency exchanges, the expansion of monetary policy projected to begin at the end of 2024, along with the continuation of de-inflation.
01:35Meanwhile, fiscal policy in the economy will remain expansive while still below the 3% deficit limit of the GDP, along with the new Prabowo-Gibran government in October 2024, which is committed to increasing social spending.
01:49The OECD also predicted that investment grew below the second half of 2024, while public consumption fell, but the growth of private consumption remained stable.
01:59The contribution of clean trade also increased, which reflects strong export performance.
