Taylor Swift Is NOT Attending This Year’s Met Gala (Report)

00:04The global superstar is skipping the Met Gala on May 6th as she gears up to head on the

00:08European leg of the ERA tour, according to People magazine.

00:11The outlet reports that the Cruel Summer singer is focusing on rehearsals and preparation

00:15for the shows.

00:17Taylor's first performance in the continent is just a few days after Fashion's Biggest

00:21Night on May 9th in Paris, France.

00:23The pop star will be in Europe till at least late August as she makes stops that month

00:27in Poland, Austria, and the UK.

00:30For this leg of her tour, she will be joined by Paramore.

00:33Most recently, Sabrina Carpenter joined Taylor to open the concerts.

00:37Despite Taylor skipping out on this year's Met Gala, she has been a regular at the prestigious

00:41event in the past, having attended six previous times.

00:45The So Long London singer even served as one of the co-chairs in 2016, which is where she

00:50appeared to meet her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, as lyrics in her song Dress on her 2017 Reputation

00:55album seemingly referenced that evening.

01:21However, soon after, Taylor began dating NFL star Travis Kelce, and the two have been together

01:28Just this past weekend, they attended Patrick Mahomes' charity gala in Vegas, where Travis

01:32surprised the audience by auctioning off Aris Tour tickets.
