00:34A number of our thinkers rejected the fist-byes,

00:38wanted an official markup of 0,

00:40voted for more candidates than voters entitled to 5,

00:44writing up a markup which voted to be identified as 0,

00:48being allowed a holy wife from 1722.

00:52The total number of our thinkers issued was 1,905,

00:57and the turnout was 19.85%.

01:00And I do hereby declare our Paul David suite as duly elected.

01:22you've just won for Bushbury South and Lowell.

01:25How are you feeling?

01:26Really pleased, yeah, it's a lot of hard work.

01:29It's a fantastic vote to represent,

01:30I've done it for 24 years now,

01:32and I'm really pleased and thank all the people

01:35who've turned out to vote for me,

01:37and irrespective of who you voted for...

01:39I guess you never take any vote for granted, do you?

01:42You don't and you can't, and the day you do,

01:45the electorate will push back at you,

01:47and rightly so, so hopefully we're going from strength to strength here.

01:52And for those who don't know, you're a Labour man.

01:54And are we expecting any kind of drastic decisions?

01:57What are your feelings as the day progresses today?

02:00I don't think so, it's more of the same.

02:03Lots of the ward have been regenerated,

02:06housing, social issues is a big thing,

02:10a number of property's been brought up to scratch,

02:13a number of new builds,

02:15we've got a few sites we want to regenerate,

02:17obviously it's fine and money for that,

02:18and I'll be pushing for that when the council kicks into gear again.
