WE first met Lizzy Long Legs on truly's Dating Different and now she's back - but this time she's dating fellow content creator, Candie Dixon. Speaking to Love Don't Judge, Lizzy said: "Part of the reason why I opened myself up to women is that I'm so fed up with being messed around by men." The women started off as best mates but soon realised there was something more. Candie explained: "It was just natural, we spent so much of our life together that we just grew into that." However, with Lizzy standing at 6ft 3" tall and Candie a significantly shorter 4ft 9", the pair's height difference often attracts unwanted attention. Candie revealed: "Every time we go out, people stare at us. I'm holding hands with someone who is so much taller than me. I kind of get nervous sometimes because I think, do they think that I'm your daughter?" Agreeing, Lizzy added: "I think it's a projection of men's insecurities over a woman being so much taller." Today, we'll be hearing how the couple deals with harsh criticism and how they went from being content creator besties to madly in love. Candie concluded: "There's nothing that I don't like about Lizzy. Even her flaws and mood swings, I find them quite funny."

00:00 This is Lizzie. She fell in love with...
00:03 Candy.
00:05 In the past, Lizzie has only dated men.
00:08 I loved my short king for my short queen.
00:11 And since getting together,
00:15 the couple often attract unwanted attention
00:17 due to their height difference.
00:19 People tend to sort of glare,
00:20 sort of whisper amongst themselves.
00:22 I'm holding hands with somebody
00:23 that is so much taller than me.
00:25 And I kind of get nervous sometimes
00:26 because I'm like, do they think that I'm your daughter?
00:29 It affects you. Lizzie more so than me.
00:31 She's the one that's questioned all the time
00:33 if she's actually a woman or a man.
00:35 Hi, I'm Lizzie.
00:40 And I'm Candy.
00:41 I'm 6'3" and I swapped my short king for a short queen.
00:46 We first met on social media, though.
00:49 Like, from our jobs.
00:50 She kept putting up stories to try and get me to...
00:52 I did. I put stories up and I was, like, tagging Lizzie Longlegs.
00:54 I was like, "Anybody knows Lizzie?
00:56 "Like, can you tell her that I also do the same job
00:59 "as her?" And that's not really heard of in our industry,
01:02 like, to be in the same town that close.
01:04 And then she finally reached out to me
01:06 and we met in Costa Coffee.
01:09 Because Lizzie was so far on in the industry than I was
01:12 in social media, like, she had a lot more followers.
01:15 I felt like I was meeting a celebrity.
01:16 Like, that's how I felt.
01:19 We became best friends for a very long time.
01:22 You were attracted to me first.
01:24 It's obvious that I was attracted to you.
01:26 I think so, yeah.
01:27 But I just didn't feel the same then.
01:29 Six months passed and I was very much aware
01:31 that you didn't want me.
01:33 You did change your style, so that helped.
01:35 That helped?
01:36 Did it actually?
01:38 I think it's just because I got to know you as a person,
01:40 so that was a bit small.
01:41 When we started to make content that wasn't just TikTok,
01:46 I was like, "Oh, was it when you had your boob job?"
01:48 (laughter)
01:50 "I don't know!"
01:51 (laughter)
01:53 To be fair, yeah, it was probably when you had yours as well.
01:55 I was like, "Actually, they're quite nice."
01:58 (laughter)
01:59 Getting a bit fed up with the comments online, though.
02:01 People constantly question my height.
02:03 How tall do they think you are?
02:05 Well, they just keep saying that you're not 4'9",
02:07 and I'm like, "Well, how tall do you think I am then?"
02:09 Why does it even matter anyway?
02:10 I'm not being funny.
02:10 I had to have it tied on my hand
02:12 just so that people stop asking me.
02:13 Every time we go out even, just in person,
02:16 people stare at us.
02:17 I know.
02:18 I mean, I can see--
02:18 Just don't care, I'm past it now.
02:19 I know, I know we are, but obviously you can see
02:21 that it's quite a significant difference.
02:24 It's fairly frustrating, though.
02:25 It means of people judging our relationships in public,
02:28 and people tend to sort of glare,
02:29 sort of whisper amongst themselves.
02:31 I think just general comments,
02:32 it's just words indicated with regards to our height.
02:35 I think there's like a double whammy,
02:36 because I think just being in a lesbian relationship
02:40 on its own, as a public display,
02:42 is something people talk about.
02:44 I genuinely believe that.
02:45 Like, people just look, and then it makes it
02:48 doubly something to look at.
02:50 I get judgment about my height on my own anyway,
02:52 so people's personal judgments,
02:54 so if you add that dynamic into it,
02:55 then it's just, it's even more so.
02:57 I'm holding hands with somebody
02:59 that is so much taller than me.
03:01 And I kind of get nervous sometimes,
03:02 'cause I'm like, do they think that I'm your daughter?
03:05 Because of the height?
03:06 I remember when we went through town,
03:08 there was a group of guys that were still out at the pub,
03:10 and they were shouting a green giant--
03:12 They asked if you were a man.
03:13 That tends to be the type of thing,
03:14 people would say, "No, you're trans,
03:16 "because you're taller than me."
03:17 Yeah, and it was shouted in a public place.
03:20 Like, that place being our actual hometown,
03:23 where we go daily.
03:24 I do remember Lizzie was like,
03:26 instantly wanted to leave, like, we had a good day,
03:29 and all of a sudden, like, the entire day
03:31 was completely ruined.
03:33 Your emotion, like, it was just gone.
03:35 You just wanted to go.
03:37 Then you got back, and you were down,
03:39 and it affects you.
03:40 Like, Lizzie more so than me in this situation,
03:44 she's the one that's questioned all the time
03:46 if she's actually a woman or a man,
03:48 which, again, is quite strange.
03:50 I think it's a projection of men's insecurities
03:53 over a woman being so much taller,
03:55 so generally that can emasculate them
03:57 and make them feel insecure, so they project that.
03:58 Make them feel little, yeah.
04:00 We deal with the judgment just by being supportive
04:02 of each other, helping each other feel better
04:04 through the situations.
04:05 We never got together on a first date.
04:08 It was never like that, I think,
04:08 'cause of the industry we were in.
04:10 We made content, and then we kind of moved forward
04:13 onto making content for our pages.
04:16 When Lizzie finally caved and made content with me
04:20 in that way, that's when you kind of said to me
04:25 that there was something more there.
04:28 It was just natural.
04:29 We spent so much of our life together
04:31 that we just grew into that,
04:33 and then we were sort of like,
04:34 "Are you my girlfriend?
04:37 "What's going on here?"
04:38 Yes, it was official just nearly three months ago.
04:41 Obviously, we've not been official as publicly,
04:44 only because there was such a short gap
04:46 between previous relationships,
04:47 and it just didn't want it to continuously be out there
04:51 until we were ready to.
04:53 This is my first time dating a woman,
04:56 and the difference is, is I think that women get,
05:00 well, the women better than men do.
05:02 (laughing)
05:03 Part of the reason I've opened myself up to women
05:05 is I'm so fed up of being messed around by men.
05:07 This is my first time dating a woman.
05:10 I find it quite peaceful, to be honest.
05:13 There's not a lot of arguing,
05:14 and there's a lot of laughing.
05:17 Do you think your followers are gonna think it's weird
05:20 that you're with a girl?
05:21 It's like you've always been with a guy.
05:22 I don't think you've ever been bisexual.
05:24 I think they'll just be happy that I'm happy.
05:26 All right, I'll post it.
05:28 Do you think that people are gonna think
05:29 that you're pretending to be with me
05:31 'cause you've only ever been with men?
05:33 Do you think they're gonna think
05:34 that this isn't authentic?
05:36 Well, people can think what they want,
05:40 but at the end of the day, we know it's genuine,
05:43 so it doesn't matter what they think.
05:44 People pass judgment regardless.
05:46 Today we're going for a walk as a height difference couple.
05:49 We often get stared at, but we don't care.
05:51 Let's get ready, shall we?
05:52 I'm so shocked that that jumpsuit actually fits
05:55 'cause all the other ones are so short on your leg.
05:58 I know, it's actually crazy.
05:59 They said that you could fit someone your size,
06:01 and mine don't stretch very well.
06:03 It's hard finding clothes to fit your height, though,
06:05 isn't it?
06:06 It's gonna be quite nice to have a walk
06:08 without being stared at all the time, isn't it?
06:10 Like in the countryside.
06:11 Yes.
06:12 Bit different than our usual walk.
06:15 Literally, we just posted that TikTok not long ago,
06:18 and someone's just commented on it
06:20 saying that you literally look like a giant.
06:23 Oh, well, do you know what?
06:24 I'm getting sick of comments like that, to be honest.
06:28 They do it quite often, don't they?
06:29 Like, what else do they say to you?
06:31 Well, they're just always talking about my height.
06:33 It doesn't matter what they think.
06:34 It's not very nice, though, is it?
06:36 No.
06:37 If that person was here now from TikTok,
06:40 what would you say to them?
06:41 Well, I'm not being funny.
06:43 You've got some of your own issues
06:45 that you need to work on,
06:45 and just stop projecting onto others
06:48 if you're feeling insecure in yourself.
06:49 What about you?
06:50 Probably nothing.
06:52 I never really saw anything.
06:54 If they were here, I would,
06:55 but online, I just ignore them, to be honest with you,
06:57 because they're just trolls most of the time.
06:59 You know what I mean?
06:59 They just get off on bringing others down.
07:01 That's the point.
07:02 Has your height ever stopped you from dating before,
07:04 or like with blokes?
07:05 Well, it's made guys insecure,
07:07 because obviously there's such a significant difference,
07:10 but it doesn't stop me.
07:11 I still wear heels.
07:12 I think now I'm more comfortable in who I am.
07:14 I don't really care what they think of me.
07:16 I don't like it when my spider hair heels as well.
07:19 (laughing)
07:20 I do, and you know I don't mind you wearing flats anyway.
07:22 I think this relationship works
07:23 because we're very similar people,
07:25 so we've been through a lot of the same things in life.
07:27 There's nothing that I don't like about Lizzie,
07:29 is an easier way to put it.
07:30 Even her flaws in your mood swing.
07:34 I find them quite funny.
07:36 To people who judge our relationship,
07:39 I don't care what they say.
07:40 If somebody's going to judge you,
07:41 well regardless if it was this or anything else,
07:44 then they should look a little bit closer to home
07:45 as to why they're judging somebody in the first place.
07:48 (upbeat music)
07:50 (electronic music)
07:53 (silence)
