Dr Vinegars is the new venture by the family behind the original Majors Chip Shop. Theye have a few branches but we take a look at the one on the Willenhall Road.

00:20 How long have you been open now?
00:21 Two months.
00:22 Two months, but in terms of the black country,
00:25 there's a bit of history to this place isn't there
00:28 and the people behind it.
00:30 Just fill us in on what that is.

00:33 Oh that was open, oh God.
00:38 Quite a long time since I've been open.
00:40 A few years, it's famous for the orange chip wasn't it?
00:42 Famous for the orange chip, yeah.
00:44 So what do you do here?
00:46 Is it battered chips is it?
00:48 Battered chips.
00:49 Yeah, all battered, yeah?
00:50 And you find that that's what the black country folk,
00:53 they're loving.
00:54 Yeah, they love them.
00:55 And what other sort of stuff are people tending to have then?
00:58 Is it still the fish or is it the kebabs?

01:02 Yeah, that's kind of taking over the fish these days

01:06 So how long have you girls worked here then?
01:09 I've worked here.
01:10 Well in terms of the business like, yeah?
01:12 Two months I've worked here.
01:14 And then you've been with the firm a few years?
01:16 I've been with Royston for 18 years.
01:18 Yeah, a few years, and you're quite a newbie.
01:19 I'm newbie.
01:20 I've been here since the shop opened,
01:22 so I've just started for two months now.
01:24 So working in a chip shop, do you still enjoy chips yourself?
01:27 No.
01:28 I guess it's good to say because you see them all the time, don't you?
01:30 Yeah.
01:31 So it's that kind of, yeah, catch 22.
