00:19But the court said it took note of, among other things, Germany's evidence that it has reduced arms to Israel

00:31It also reiterated its concern about the overall situation in Gaza.
00:36It noted that the military operation conducted by Israel following the attack of 7 October 2023
00:44had resulted, and I quote, a large number of deaths and injuries.
00:48The court remains deeply concerned about the catastrophic living conditions of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
00:55In particular, in view of the prolonged and widespread deprivation of food
01:00and other basic necessities to which they have been subjected.
01:05Germany says it welcomes the decision by 15 to 1 judges
01:09and reiterated its commitment to upholding what it describes as a legitimate interest of both parties, Israel and the Palestinians.
01:17And in the case of the proceedings, we will continue to refute them in total.
01:25I can tell you already now that we will continue to do everything we can to promote a solution of the conflict in Gaza.
01:34We remain committed to the release of hostages, to a ceasefire,
01:39to the alleviation of the immense suffering of the civilians in Gaza
01:43and the prospect of a two-state solution.
01:47The Nicaraguan legal team say they're disappointed the court didn't issue formal emergency measures against Germany
01:53but have taken note that the German government has decided to reinstate funding to UNRWA,
01:57the United Nations Palestinian Agency, which was one of their requests.

02:06that influenced them to take this case in the first place.
