Aired (April 28, 2024): Manila’s “last lung” kung ituring ang Arroceros Forest Park. Kaya naman ngayong matindi ang init, isa ito sa pasyalan ng mga nais magpalamig at magpahinga. Silipin ‘yan sa video.

00:01 Is there still no time to go out of town to beat the heat?
00:04 No worries, because here in Metro Manila, you can also chillax with and be with nature.
00:09 City life with nature? Are you curious?
00:12 That's the story of JM and Sina's Kalyan, JM?

00:16 Kuya Kim, the heat index here in Manila is high.
00:22 There's a place that our fellow citizens go to where the sun is low at 3-5 degrees Celsius.
00:29 Manila was also the last city to integrate Arroceros Forest Park.
00:32 The solution is not just a dog beach to somehow get back the heat.
00:39 Arroceros Forest Park was also built in Manila,
00:42 which is said to be one of the few places left in Metro Manila.
00:45 Some students, even though they don't have classes due to the heat,
00:49 chose to finish their projects here in Spelahan.
00:52 We chose Arroceros because it's cooler and fresher than our homes.
00:59 According to the heat index forecast,
01:01 the possible heat in Manila is around 38-40 degrees Celsius.
01:06 But in Arroceros Park, the heat is lower.
01:11 According to the weather app I use,
01:13 the heat here in Arroceros Forest Park is currently around 35 degrees Celsius.
01:19 It's lower than the heat index forecast.
01:24 Aside from tall trees and other types of plants,
01:28 there are benches that can be used as seats,
01:30 and there's a part that overlooks the Pasig River.
01:32 That's why some environmental groups are continuously promoting the planting of trees
01:36 that play a big role in our environment.
01:38 We are currently experiencing El Niño.
01:41 This really helps not only to cool down the weather,
01:46 but also to promote ecological diversity and even recreational benefits.
01:51 Let's take care of nature because this is also what we will use as protection
01:55 in the continuous change of the weather.
01:58 Live from here in the city of Manila,
02:03 I'm JM Encinas, and that's the story of "Kaling Dapat Alam Mo".
02:06 Thank you very much, JM Encinas.
