00:23diagnosed with cancer. Since announcing the shocking news, the sovereign has appeared
00:27to be handling his treatments rather well, with the palace even announcing on April 26th
00:32that he would be increasing his royal duties. The statement said,
00:36"[His Majesty, the King, will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment
00:41and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis.]
00:44However, with his illness looming in the background, it's pretty much impossible not
00:48to wonder about the roles Prince William and Kate Middleton's children will play in
00:53King Charles' death plan. Some big things will change for sure. The royal succession
00:57would be adjusted, with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis becoming the second,
01:03third, and fourth in line. In addition to the crown order changing, William and Kate's kids
01:08will most likely receive title changes. Prince George would be named the Prince of Wales,
01:12in the place of his father."
01:14If Princess Anne is still alive by the time Prince Charles takes the throne,
01:18Princess Charlotte's assumed, princess royal title will only be granted after her great-aunt
01:23also passes away, and even then, only when the time is right. That's a title that can
01:28be unclaimed for years if the monarch desires. Lastly, Prince Louis will most likely eventually
01:34take on the title of Duke of York. However, unlike his sister, he may have to wait twice
01:39as long if his father decides to grant Prince Harry the title when Prince Andrew passes away.

01:47royal historian Gareth Russell revealed that it's not guaranteed, especially regarding Prince
01:52George. He explained to Us Weekly,
01:54"...the title of Prince of Wales for William and Catherine,
01:57it's not automatically given to the heir to the throne. It's been a title that's existed
02:02since the 13th century. That was obviously a gesture of support for the Cambridges
02:07and a very clear declaration of love and support from Charles."
02:10In the wake of the current chaos and questions surrounding the royal family,
02:14Prince William and Princess Catherine are trying their best to keep things as normal
02:18as possible for their kids, especially in light of the latter's cancer diagnosis.

02:53mind off everything, with Prince William recently revealing that the kids have guinea pigs.
