00:04 We're here with Shika. On Monday morning, actress Bianca King told us about some challenges she faced in building a family abroad.

00:21 Bianca King's accidental call to settle down in Australia.

00:25 She was able to reach the lockdown during the pandemic in the land down under. She got married and had a child there.

00:31 Although she was happy with her family, she also faced many challenges during the past 100 years.

00:37 Motherhood and the early days of postpartum is so isolating already.

00:42 And then, you put a woman in a foreign country with no family, no close friends nearby. It was very tough for me.

00:53 In Sydney, they first lived with Mr. Ralph Wento. But when their firstborn, Sadie, arrived,

01:00 and their parents were in charge, they were forced to move.

01:04 I came out of the darkness and now I'm trying to live my life again with a baby.

01:11 I just have to remain grateful that this is the kind of life that she was born into.

01:17 This is the kind of air she inhales every single day.

01:22 Bianca is a hands-on mom. But if she has time, she will try to cut back on her hobbies like pilates and pottery making.

01:30 There comes a point that you have to strike a balance. Like, mama has to fill her cup.

01:35 You can't just be a family member. You have to let go of your interests.

01:40 Bianca misses a lot of things, especially in the Philippines and her life in the Philippines during the pandemic.

01:48 What do you miss about the Philippines?

01:50 Of course, my friends, my work. I miss just being able to get into the car and drive to a beach.
