00:00Ivanka Trump was a constant presence during her father's presidency, serving as both a
00:04White House advisor as well as a loyal supporter on the campaign trail.
00:09But there are plenty of reasons why she may be done with politics this time around.
00:14In 2022, after Donald Trump formally announced that he was running for president again, the
00:18public naturally wondered whether Ivanka Trump would be involved.
00:22After all, Ivanka actively worked to re-elect her father during his 2020 campaign, and also
00:27served as an advisor during his administration.
00:30Today, my focus is really just moving to Washington, traveling around the country, and listening."
00:36Ivanka set the record straight very early on, telling Fox News,
00:40"...I love my father very much.
00:42This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we
00:46are creating as a family.
00:47I do not plan to be involved in politics."
00:50It's common for public figures to make statements regarding their futures and later recant them,
00:55but the former first daughter seems to be firm in her decision.
00:58Although Ivanka has no intention of returning to politics, she likewise has no regrets about
01:03the time she spent as an advisor to the president.
01:05She told Fox News,
01:06"...I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people, and will always
01:10be proud of many of our administration's accomplishments."
01:14With the 2024 campaign season well underway, Donald Trump has been traveling the country
01:19rallying his supporters.
01:21"...Hello everybody.
01:22Get ready for a milkshake, you got plenty of it."
01:25Days before the Iowa caucuses, which serve as the official kickstart to primary season,
01:30the former president visited multiple cities in the state, and in mid-March, he was in
01:34Ohio.
01:35Meanwhile, Ivanka has been traveling around the country, too, just not to the same locations.
01:40In January, the former first daughter and her husband, Jared Kushner, were in California
01:44attending an event with Kim Kardashian.
01:47Later that month, Ivanka made an appearance in her former home state of New York.
01:51The working mom has left the country, too.
01:53She and Kushner traveled to India to celebrate the pre-wedding events for Anant Ambani, the
01:58son of billionaire Mukesh Ambani.
02:01Ivanka posted several pictures of the wedding on Instagram, writing in the caption,
02:04"...Sending warm wishes to Anant and Radhika for endless happiness and love as they embark
02:09on this wonderful adventure together."
02:12Business has been a cornerstone of the Trump family for years.
02:15Long before Donald Trump entered the political arena, he was famous for his numerous real
02:19estate developments, particularly in New York City.
02:22Once his children were old enough, they joined Donald in his efforts, thus continuing the
02:26family's legacy.
02:28Ivanka spent over a decade working for her father's company, the Trump Organization,
02:32but she eventually stepped down from her position to work alongside him in the White House.
02:36The former first daughter has also had business ventures outside her immediate family, including
02:41owning a fashion brand.
02:42However, during Ivanka's time in politics, she closed it.
02:46Now, with a few years of separation between her and her time in Washington, D.C., Ivanka
02:50is free to get involved in several other private business ventures.
02:53A source told Page Six,
02:55"...She is doing some private sector investments.
02:57She is focused on things she believes in and cares about."
03:01Business and politics famously don't mix, and if she's found success in her new avenues,
03:05it's more reason to believe that Ivanka won't be returning to politics.
03:10Ivanka's husband, Jared Kushner, also played a key role in Donald Trump's administration.
03:14He served as a senior advisor to the president for Trump's entire presidency, even notably
03:19assisting him with negotiating the Abraham Accords.
03:22However, he similarly does not intend to join Donald in the White House again if he's re-elected
03:27in 2024.
03:28He told Axios,
03:29"...I've been very clear that my desire at this phase of my life is to focus on my firm.
03:34I've really enjoyed the opportunity as a family to be out of the spotlight."
03:39Like his wife, Kushner has been actively working in the private sector since exiting
03:43the political sphere.
03:44The businessman founded the investment firm Affinity Partners.
03:48Affinity has made headlines since its inception, thanks to investing in luxury real estate
03:52in Europe and the Middle East, and securing billions in funding from Saudi Arabia's crown
03:57prince Mohammed bin Salman.
03:59Critics have often wondered how Ivanka and Kushner really make their money, but it seems
04:03like they're doing just fine.
04:05One major hallmark of Donald Trump's presidential campaign is his campaign rallies.
04:10No matter what else is happening in his life, Donald holds his loud rallies, which are reportedly
04:14attended by thousands of supporters.
04:16However, Ivanka has yet to attend one of her father's 2024 campaign rallies.
04:21There doesn't seem to be any bad blood between Donald and Ivanka, though.
04:25In a December 2022 post on his social media site, Truth Social, the former president wrote,
04:30I never asked Jared or Ivanka to be part of the 2024 campaign for president, and in
04:35fact specifically asked them not to do it.
04:37Too mean and nasty with the fake and corrupt news and having to deal with some absolutely
04:41horrendous sleazebags in the world of politics, and beyond."
04:46During the White House years, Ivanka and Jared lived in the nation's capital.
04:50But once Donald Trump's presidency ended, the family moved from Washington, D.C. to
04:54Miami, initially renting a multimillion-dollar condominium.
04:57Just a couple of years later, they moved into a newly constructed Florida mansion.
05:01The Kushners' initial move from Washington, D.C. signified the closing chapter of their
05:06time in politics, and the completion of their new home cemented it.
05:10According to those close to her, Ivanka is much more content living in Miami and focusing
05:14on her family and business ventures.
05:16A source told People in 2024,
05:18"[She is very happy living her best life.
05:20She left politics totally in the rearview mirror, and so this time around, even if her
05:25dad is the leading Republican candidate, she basically doesn't care.
05:28She told him when he said he was going to run again that she didn't want to be involved."
05:32Evidently, regardless of what happens in the future, Ivanka's decision is final.
