00:30A few years ago, I turned on the TV and I saw some old Hollywood movies playing,

00:39I remember just sitting in my bed watching this Marilyn Monroe movie,
00:43Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and just going, I want to look like that.
00:48I think the most striking part of my look would definitely be the red lipstick
00:51matched with my super glamorous outfits.
00:54I tend to avoid things on the baggier side.
00:56I like a nicer, tighter silhouette.
01:00When people come up to me in public, I have a lot of older people
01:03just because it's nostalgic for them,
01:05but I also have a lot of younger people who love the way I look.
01:08Some people, when they see the way I look,
01:09think I might have the values of the 1950s or the 60s,
01:13when that's not the case.
01:14I simply just like it for the fashion.
01:16This is where I keep all of my dresses,
01:20and I cannot tell you how many dresses I own because I have lost count.
01:23This is the only pair of jeans that I own in my entire closet,
01:27and the only ones that I will probably ever will wear.
01:29This is my beauty room where I get dressed in the morning.
01:33The hair roughly takes about 20 minutes,
01:36and then the makeup takes about 35,
01:39so I'd say about an hour to get ready.
01:41I feel like once you have a red lip, you're ready to go.
01:44Today, I'm going to be transforming from 50s pin-up to 80s punk.
01:48I do like the 80s because they have a lot of sci-fi stuff,
01:51like Back to the Future,
01:52so they do have some good stuff.

04:23but nothing that she would actually wear on like a day-to-day basis.

04:30It was definitely more punky than what she would normally wear.

04:45I think clothes-wise and style-wise, I've found what I'm looking for.
