00:17 Because he's a game changer.

00:19 Because outside of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant was the one

00:22 who taught NBA players what hard work truly is.

00:27 And for a guy like Patrick Beverly who prides himself

00:29 on being one of the hardest workers in the NBA,

00:31 he learned a lot from Kobe Bryant.

00:33 Michael Jordan is who Kobe Bryant learned how

00:36 to work hard from.

00:38 Kobe Bryant is who all modern NBA players worked hard from.

00:42 And Pat went on to say that it confuses him

00:45 that people seem to have forgotten that.

00:47 That they seem to have forgotten that Kobe was the blueprint

00:51 for how to work hard and succeed in the NBA.

00:54 And when it comes to things like GOAT status

00:57 or Mount Rushmore status, you need to look more

01:03 Because a lot of what Kobe has are intangibles

01:06 that can't be measured in a box score similar to Patrick Beverly.

01:10 Because if you look just at Patrick Beverly's box score,

01:12 you would think he wouldn't really matter that much.

01:14 And when you look at Kobe Bryant and how much he inspired people

01:17 to work hard and to work harder, that's an intangible

01:20 that needs to be measured in more than just numbers.
