00:00I'm Jill Painter-Lopez for Sports Illustrated, joined by our very own Melissa Rowland.
00:10And Melissa, Shaquille O'Neal was interviewed by Stephen A. Smith after the last dance concluded,
00:15and they had a topic of conversation about greatest player of all time.
00:18Who did he say must be included in that conversation?
00:21Well, Shaq said he's always asked who's the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan,
00:26LeBron James.
00:27And he said one very important name needs to be included among those players, and that's
00:32Kobe Bryant.
00:33And Shaq obviously should know he won three NBA championships alongside Kobe from 2000
00:38to 2002.
00:40They had a pretty acrimonious relationship when they played together.
00:44Kobe thought Shaq was a little lazy.
00:46Shaq thought Kobe was a showboat.
00:48But underneath it all, they had a deep well of respect for one another.
00:52After Kobe died, Shaq said that he was like a brother to him, that they always had a deep
00:57love for one another, and that they inspired some of the greatest basketball of all time
01:01out of each other.
