00:00If the NBA season doesn't resume,
00:03we can always guess what might've happened
00:04and our Michael Shapiro had a chance
00:06to simulate the remainder of the NBA season,
00:10the playoffs, of course.
00:11Michael, you had the Lakers winning the championship,
00:14which makes me happy,
00:14because I would hate to see LeBron's season
00:16go to waste in year 17.
00:19Yeah, certainly.
00:20And I think that's really one of the shames of the season
00:22if it is canceled.
00:23Of course, the coronavirus is a crisis
00:26that's sweeping the nation and basketball
00:28is kind of a small thing right now.
00:29But for NBA fans, I think a lot of them
00:31would've liked to see LeBron chase that fourth ring,
00:34continue to challenge Michael Jordan
00:36in the GOAT conversation.
00:38And frankly, James looks like he's at the peak of his powers
00:40and I know he is probably certainly hoping to return
00:43to play sometime in the summer.
00:45Now, why did you have them first advancing
00:47over the Clippers?
00:49You know, I just think their size ultimately
00:52is going to be enough of a deterrent
00:53against their crosstown rival here.
00:56You saw on the game they played on March 8th,
00:58LeBron, Davis, Dwight Howard, even JaVale McGee.
01:01The sheer length and size that the Lakers have
01:04compared to the Clippers was really pretty overwhelming.
01:07You know, it's hard to bet against Kawhi Leonard
01:08after what you saw last year.
01:09I said, I think it will be a seven game series.
01:12But ultimately, I think that the size of the Lakers
01:13will prove pivotal in a seven game series.
01:16Now, what about the Bucks?
01:17They've been so dominant throughout the course
01:19of the regular season.
01:20Is this a case of, you know, when you get to the finals,
01:23there are things like shot creation at the end of games
01:25and stuff like that they may be lacking?
01:28Yeah, that's really what I think it boils down to.
01:30You know, I think there is still something
01:31to prove for Giannis with his playoff chops,
01:33although his jump shot has really improved this season.
01:36And even just the depth of the Waukee's roster
01:39isn't as sound as one, I think, would like.
01:41Now, I think Giannis' time will come,
01:42for sure, in the next decade.
01:44But I think in a series with LeBron and Giannis,
01:47I think right now I would give LeBron the edge.
01:50There you have it, Los Angeles Lakers,
01:53your NBA champions, sort of.
01:55Michael, appreciate your time.
01:56Thanks.
