00:00 >> I don't think anybody would like to see this world rebuild, but
00:04 I think I know JD and I talked quite a bit.
00:08 Talking to the front office, we had money to spend.
00:11 We wanted to make a better team and we felt like some of our younger guys on our
00:16 team take some pretty significant steps forward, which we kind of started
00:20 that process last year and saw a little bit of growth.
00:22 Some days a lot of growth in certain guys.
00:27 We can depend on some of those guys to fill legitimate roles for us.
00:31 And if we can add, which we did, two legitimate guys and
00:35 trade for a two-time Cy Younger, we've got a pretty formidable pitching staff now.
00:41 To go with some offensive players, I'm sure we're still gonna add a few more
00:44 pieces, I'm not sure, but yeah, we expect to contend.
00:48 I think that's, whether that's ahead of schedule or behind schedule or
00:54 whatever you wanna say, but if we're not rebuilding, we expect to compete.
00:58 We expect to contend with whoever we think.
01:02 Expectations, I've always wanted and I embrace those and
01:05 I want our players to feel the same way.
01:08 We want high expectations.
