00:03 I'm not afraid to say it.
00:06 I'm rooting for sports to return.
00:08 I just want something to hope for.
00:10 And we got our best glimmers of said hope
00:11 with the news that Major League Baseball
00:13 may be looking to return in May,
00:15 with all games being played in Arizona
00:17 and with no one in the stands,
00:18 along with a report that rapid testing devices
00:21 could be key to the NBA resuming its season.
00:24 Now, all this must come with a giant disclaimer.
00:27 Public safety should not be jeopardized,
00:30 nor should the safety of the players and participants.
00:33 And any testing available to the leagues
00:35 must also be readily available to regular people in need.
00:39 However, if those criteria are met,
00:41 then I'll take baseball and basketball in quarantine.
00:45 Honestly, I don't know how feasible all that is,
00:48 and neither do you.
00:49 So I'll defer to medical professionals.
00:51 And maybe my profession is what's causing this professing,
00:55 but eventually, we will need to persevere.
00:57 So if we all continue to do our part
01:00 and stay away from each other,
01:01 perhaps there's a chance sports won't be gone
01:03 for as long as we thought.
01:05 Fans or not, I consider that something to cheer.
