00:00We are still waiting on baseball season to start because of the coronavirus but
00:05we're coming up with plenty of ways to stay engaged and stay excited when it
00:08comes to the Texas Rangers. Chris, what position group when you look at the
00:12Rangers roster should other teams in the league maybe be jealous about? Like what
00:17is their strongest position group? Definitely starting pitching. Starting
00:21pitching is something that they were not so great at last year other than two. Mike
00:26Miner and Lance Lynn were both Cy Young candidates. I think Lynn finished
00:32fifth and Miner finished eighth in the in the voting but the rest of the
00:35rotation did not do so hot. Had an ERA over seven. It was not pretty but
00:41they went out. They tried to get Anthony Rendon who ended up signing with
00:44the Angels so John Daniels turned around and landed a trade for Corey Kluber
00:49from the Indians, a two-time Cy Young winner. He also added Kyle Gibson who
00:53had been pitching with Minnesota and Jordan Lyles who just came off a
00:56successful run with Milwaukee. That gives them a pretty strong rotation.
01:01Arguably one of the strongest if not the strongest in the division and
01:04definitely a rotation that can help them pretty
01:08much against almost anybody in Major League Baseball. So they've got the depth
01:13and they've got the star power is what you're telling me. Yes and you know
01:17speaking of depth you know that you know leads to some of the younger guys that
01:20have like Colby Allard and Joe Palumbo and Brock Burke who was going to
01:25miss all of this year with a torn labrum and a shoulder but either way they have
01:29some young starters who were you know before those signings were gonna have to
01:33fill in but now they don't have to. Now they can really finish you know that
01:37kind of their finishing touches of their development in AAA whenever baseball
01:42does get underway but instead of you know kind of being thrown into the fire
01:46a little too soon now they can properly finish their development and be ready
01:50whenever their name is called upon. Well let's hope that's sooner rather than
01:54later. Absolutely. Perfect okay so I'm gonna hit stop.
