00:00We have been waiting and waiting and waiting for baseball in 2020 but the one
00:05thing we didn't have to wait for was the draft. Chris, when you look at the Texas
00:09Rangers moves, what one is the most exciting? What's your favorite move they
00:13made? You know, the Rangers had an interesting draft. Honestly, picking a
00:19favorite is a little bit difficult because, you know, the first round pick
00:23Justin Foscu was a nice pick. It was a little bit of a reach. However, the pick
00:29that really intrigues me the most is the fifth round pick Thomas Aguise. He's a
00:33high school player out of Southern California and this is a player that was
00:38absolutely tearing it up in high school. He had a great year his junior year. He
00:42was doing absolutely fantastic his senior year. He didn't get to be
00:46showcased which is pretty pretty rare for Southern California players because
00:51they're usually under the spotlight. However, his mother tragically passed
00:55away from breast cancer so he wasn't, you know, he wasn't able to be showcased
00:58the same way the other players were. So, he kind of flew under the radar but even
01:03as the draft was approaching he was kind of a late riser. That's how Baseball
01:07America described him and this is a player that it could inevitably
01:12be the steal of the draft. This is a player who obviously, you know, the
01:16Rangers really value players who can hit the ball when it comes to their position
01:20players. He's a middle infield player. He's listed as a shortstop but
01:23some look at him as a future second baseman at the major league level. Either
01:27way, this is a guy who put up massive numbers, hit over 400 both his junior
01:31year and at the beginning of his senior year before play was suspended. So, this
01:36is a pick that I think could really, you know, potentially be the
01:40steal of this year's draft. It's, you know, hard to kind of gauge this,
01:45you know, with it only being a five-round draft. But again, first-round pick
01:49Justin Foskew is a very nice pick. Like I said, a little bit of a reach but
01:54he's got both the tangibles at the plate and the intangibles that the
01:58Rangers really like in their baseball players. So, you know, that could be
02:02another really good pick. So, either one of those picks really could be a pick
02:05that we look at in a few years and look back and say that those were
02:09nice picks in the 2020 draft.
