00:04DTI has a reminder for those who are going to have this repaired.

00:20It was broken one day.

00:22When will they ever have to go through the hot weather?

00:27It's broken.

00:28Why is it broken?

00:29Maybe it's overused.

00:31It's broken.

00:32It's broken because of the hot weather.

00:33There are more electric fans being made at Inoy's repair shop.

00:36The five pieces they make every day,

00:39are now doubling or tripling in number.

00:42Some people just want to bring it because it's too hot,

00:46so they can use it right away.

00:48They also do home service in making air conditioners.

00:51They are polishing the repair to avoid any disgrace

00:55if the customer uses it again.

00:57Because the repair shops are crowded,

00:59and the number of people making their appliances is also increasing,

01:02DTI has asked the real repair shops to co-operate.

01:06They are visiting the repair shops in different places

01:09to make sure that their business is accredited.

01:11It is also important to look for Import Commodity Clearance, or ICC,

01:15and Philippine Standard Markings, or PS Markings,

01:18in the product being sold.

01:19Electric fans cannot be manufactured and sold in the market

01:24not unless it has a corresponding license

01:26from the Bureau of Philippine Standards.

01:28If it is locally manufactured,

01:30we will look for the PS Mark.

01:33According to DTI, they have monitoring in the shops.

01:37If it is not compliant, they issue a Notice of Violation.
