USC got one of the top transfers on the market in Pitt's Jordan Addison
Transcript
00:00Pitt wide receiver Jordan Addison announced his commitment to USC on Thursday in a post
00:05over social media.
00:06Noah, this is a huge loss for Pitt in 2022, how will Pat Narduzzi and the team recover
00:13from this loss?
00:14Yeah, so it's definitely a big blow for the Panthers.
00:17However, if they were going to lose somebody this massive, losing it at wide receiver is
00:22the position to do so at.
00:24They have a deep position group right now heading into the fall, plus a strong transfer
00:30in Kanata Mumfield out of Akron, who's already been deemed maybe a sneaky first or second
00:35round pick in the 2023 draft.
00:38Outside of that, Jared Wayne, a 6'3 junior, is going to take a much larger step.
00:42Someone who was the number two to Addison in 2021 now should be the number one for the
00:48Panthers this season.
00:49And then they have a couple of underclassmen highlighted by Jalen Barden, who had 19 yards
00:55per catch in 2021, should probably have a little bit more this season.
00:59He missed the last five games of 2021, but high expectations heading into the fall.
01:04And I'm going to speak to USC for just a moment.
01:07This is an absolutely huge win for the Trojans.
01:11Bringing in some more depth at the wide receiver position was a huge priority for Lincoln Riley
01:15and his staff when they arrived at USC, especially after losing Drake London to the NFL.
01:21You saw what they did this offseason, right?
01:23They brought in Terrell Bynum out of Washington, Brennan Rice out of Colorado, and of course
01:27Mario Williams out of Oklahoma.
01:30But hey, it never hurts to add a guy of Jordan Addison's talent level, especially when he's
01:34regarded as one of the top wide receivers in the country.
01:38So I can tell you that Lincoln Riley and Candle Williams are probably two very happy campers
01:43today.
01:44Jordan Addison is officially a USC Trojan.
