00:00Toulson Court Hotel has retained its crown as the best B&B in Europe, sadly they missed
00:08out to be the fourth year running as best in the world, but they did come second which
00:14is pretty impressive. The fabulous owners who I met, James and Angela Ruston, said it's
00:21thanks to the little touches and creating a family atmosphere that keeps visitors returning
00:27and most of all leaving those positive reviews which has led to the accolades on TripAdvisor.
00:34They love what we do, they love what we have to offer, it's just fabulous.
00:39It's great fun but it's hard work.
00:42What did it feel like when you were first crowned three years ago the best B&B in the world?
00:47To be fair when we first got the phone call we were driving back from York and we didn't believe
00:51it we thought somebody was playing a prank and we still for about 10 minutes thought they were
00:55playing a prank until they sent us an email which pinged on my watch while I was driving and I was
00:58like oh my goodness it's true because you just putting in perspective we're just an ordinary
01:03B&B in Scarborough and it it's just an amazing thing that we can win best B&B in the world we're
01:09competing with all these other B&Bs that are fabulous places but it's down to value for
01:15money as well and that that's what our our point is really isn't it. While they may have not retained
01:21the world's best title still being Europe's best guest house is pretty incredible keeping Scarborough
01:30firmly on the map.
