00:00I don't think it could do my job, but I certainly think that AI can help me in my job,
00:04help me be more productive, help me do some of the tedious things more quickly,
00:10but it's not going to be able to do my whole job, or really most jobs.
00:15No, but I do think AI could do parts of my job, like if I'm dealing with a thorny technology
00:23ethics question, I could ask for ideas and get some initial thoughts about it,
00:29but I think the final judgment ultimately has to be a human-level judgment.
00:34I think AI is a great tool for decision-making support. I think the more people can use AI to
00:39improve the way they work, the better that can be, sort of inform the way that we make decisions,
00:44and inform the way that work is done, rather than actually taking my job and doing my job for me.
00:48I think that kind of anxiety is totally understandable, but we as a society,
00:54this is not the first time that we have encountered this kind of disruptive technology.
01:00AI is certainly going to change the way that I work. It's going to make me do my job differently.
01:06I'm really excited for the way it's going to help me think about things in new ways,
01:10and challenge me to think about things differently.
01:13There's a lot of my job that I wish AI could do, especially when I was a practicing clinician,
01:18where I spent a lot of my time doing things like data entry and hunting through extensive medical
01:23records to try to find information that was important for me to improve the health outcomes
01:27of my patients. And so yes, absolutely, I think that AI can take care of a lot of that.
01:33No, I don't think so, but I think it helped me. I think it helped me a lot in what I do,
01:37make my life easier and better and more interesting, for sure.
