Elon Musk Thinks AI Brain Chips
Could ‘Solve’ Autism and Schizophrenia.
In a recent interview on the ‘Artificial
Intelligence’ podcast, Musk spoke
about the future plans for his neural-
technology company, Neuralink.
According to Musk, Neuralink’s brain-implanted
AI chip will one day solve “brain-related diseases.”.
“[It] could be anything from, like, autism, schizophrenia,
memory loss — like, everyone experiences memory
loss at certain points in age ...”

It is unclear what Musk meant since autism and schizophrenia
are not diseases but rather developmental disorders. .

cannot be 'cured.' Often people feel being autistic
is a fundamental aspect of their identity."

Musk went on to say that his eventual
goal is to “merge human consciousness with AI.”.
“We will not be able to be smarter than a digital
supercomputer, so, therefore, if you cannot beat 'em, join 'em.”
