00:00 What are your tips for someone who's watching this and perhaps wants to try running?
00:03 Just get out there, one foot in front of the other. The first thing I ever did when I was 47,
00:08 10 years ago, 11 years ago, was I tried to get around the lake near our house, which is 3.7 miles.
00:13 You know, I shuffled around it, I walked around it, it took me three or four days,
00:16 then I shuffled without stopping, and then I signed up for this, and then you get your 17-week
00:21 training plan. It's really easy to follow. All you've got to do is pick a plan, 17-week,
00:26 16-week plan, 22-week plan, and before you know it, you'll be here. And it doesn't take that much
00:30 effort, and it's all about compound interest. You know, if you start saving up when you're
00:35 little, you put a pound away every week. When you're 50, you don't have a mortgage anymore.
00:39 But it's the same, but it's with fitness. And the feeling is immense, isn't it? It's so
00:44 joyous, you know, to be part of it. It's just the best thing I've ever done.
