00:00We can see that since we started to gain power at the national level in 2008, the challenge for us to build and build a stronger bond with the party members has changed.
00:20Because the first generation was really tied to the bond of family and Silaturahim.
00:28When we started to win in 2008, there was another dimension, which is the dimension of responsibility.
00:35And now, 2020 to now, when we have gained power at the national level, it is more complicated.
00:44Because it is not just a small power or responsibility at the national level.
00:50We also have the dimension of power, responsibility and burden at the national level.
00:57That is why the age of 25 is a good age for us to re-evaluate and think about how we can find a way to tie this party for the next 20 to 50 years.
01:16Because we have seen that the parties, especially when they gain power and do not look for a new way to build strength with new challenges and complexities,
01:31that is why they become weaker and weaker.
01:36It is not just the political parties. If you look at the most famous companies in the world, many of you may not have heard of Kodak.
01:49Kodak is the most dominant company in the world for 100 years.
01:57Without Kodak, there would be no image.
02:00When the digital screens and chips are released, Kodak has long been a threat to the film industry.
02:11But they are selfish. When it is released, they say it is too small.
02:16When there is a new product, they say it is unbearable.
02:20And because of that, they overlook the fact that the society outside is changing faster than the society inside.
02:32Especially when the power is very high compared to the competitors.
02:37So when the society changes first, within 20 years, Kodak from the biggest company goes bankrupt.
02:48It is gone. And it cannot be built again.
02:52No matter how hard you try, with billions of dollars, it cannot be built again. And it is gone.
02:58The same thing we will go through as a movement of the people.
03:04We will go through these changes.
03:07And this time, at the age of 25, the challenge is very big.
03:15Because we are taking over the leadership of the country with all the interferences and reforms that need to be done at the same time.
03:29Because it has been delayed for a generation.
03:32For more than 20 years, there has been a lot of reforms.
03:36Especially those related to the country's economic reforms.
03:41It has been delayed for a generation.
03:44So we don't have time to wait.
03:47Because of that, in the last 15 months, a big part of the leadership of the party is in the government.
03:59It is not because we have forgotten about the party.
04:02But because the priority is to ensure that these reforms need to be broken down and implemented as soon as possible.
04:10So the priority cannot run away. It has to go to the government first.
04:16Because of that, I understand that when we go down, if there is a sense of discomfort,
04:21there is a sense of resentment, there is a sense of being ostracised.
04:25Those are some of the challenges that we need to face together.
04:31But the election will start next year.
04:36The series of elections, the general election, the 16th, will start at the beginning of next year, 2025.
04:47Then in 2026, and depending on the decision of the Prime Minister,
04:55the longest general election is around two and a half years from the date we have now.
05:05So we don't have a long time.
05:08Because the preparation for the general election, the 16th, will officially start today,
05:19in accordance with the 25-year convention of our party.
05:23It is true that the leaders are the ones who have to go back to work.
05:27But, as I said about Kodak, as I said about other organisations,
05:35that power must be in line with the changes of the times.
05:40Another power that we have since 1998 is our expertise in alternative media.
05:49Our power to build up the platforms of reformation before that.
05:55Our power to use social media.
05:59Justice is one of the first parties, if I remember correctly,
06:05to use Facebook as a platform for speech in the beginning of 2010.
06:13Okay, everyone is quiet.
06:14Because I hope that by now, we have reached the point where we can think again.
06:21Those are the powers that we have built up from the beginning.
06:25Those powers have now been used by our opponents to oppose us.
06:31Our power in alternative media, in electronic media, for example,
06:38is no longer in a dominant level like it was before.
06:43Our power in solving the current issues will have new challenges.
06:50Because most of our leaders are the leaders of the government.
06:55So, when we say that we are the leaders of the government,
07:00we are bound by all the bases, all the secrets,
07:05all the rules and regulations that we have to follow.
07:13If we are not careful, we will continue to be defensive.
07:20Because the leadership of the government cannot be seen as being too offensive
07:26to balance our duties as a government and a party leader.
07:31That is why now we see that those skills have been copied,
07:37especially by those who have been in the judiciary.
07:41They use those skills to shoot us.
07:45Demonstration skills? Maybe not.
07:48Demonstration skills with their own research is useless now.
07:52That is why, today, the party will launch two new frameworks.
08:00One is called POP25,
08:04which is the framework for the establishment of a party organization
08:08in celebration of the party's 25th anniversary.
08:13And the other is the framework that we call POP16,
08:19which is the framework for the victory of the 16th General Election.
08:26And both of these frameworks,
08:30the aim is to strengthen our power from the bottom up
08:39to create a new power for us
08:43so that we can be at the forefront
08:46in our preparation for the upcoming General Election.
08:50That is why the brothers and sisters will be given instructions later.
08:55And after today's launch,
08:58the entire party leadership and power will be mobilized
09:04to go down to the countries one by one.
09:07And after that, to be sent to the branches
09:11to mark the readiness for the 16th General Election
09:16starting today
09:19with a complete target,
09:22with a clear matrix.
09:24And God willing, we hope
09:26the preparation that started two years earlier
09:29will ensure that Dato' Sri Anwar Ibrahim
09:33remains as Prime Minister after the upcoming General Election.
