00:00 standing on his own or united with his brothers here's your look the brand-new
00:04 diamond slack Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo gallery diorama statue
00:10 the wheeler of twin katana Leonardo is the self-serious leader of the Ninja
00:25 Turtles dedicated to mastering the ninja arts and quieting his inner demons
00:29 Leonardo often clashes with his hot-headed brother Raphael who can
00:33 sometimes question his leadership this gallery diorama of Leonardo is made of
00:37 high quality PVC and features detailed sculpting and paint applications it was
00:41 designed by David Forrest kinetic underground incorporated and sculpted by
00:45 Sandro Luis Sampeo even though really he is a half shell hero he's actually a
00:50 quarter of the statue in that when you get the other three Ninja Turtles you
00:53 can actually connect them all together to get one big giant diorama we'll start
00:57 with obviously the leader of the Ninja Turtles first and while I'm taking the
01:00 tape measure and you'll notice I'm going way past his head because really the
01:03 katana that he has on the back of his body is actually the highest point on
01:06 the statue so we'll measure that part as the highest the statue of Leonardo is
01:10 actually gonna be about ten and a half inches in heights or the statue is 26
01:14 centimeters tall I'd like to thank the folks over at diamond slack they did
01:18 provide this sample of Leonardo that we could have a look at my personal
01:21 favorite by the way of all the Ninja Turtles what's yours let me know down
01:24 below what I do really like about the display stand is first of all the fact
01:27 it's one of four the fact again like all of them are gonna attach together but
01:31 even just to say that on its own you would almost then assume that the
01:34 display stand will look unfinished other than really just being the side of the
01:38 stand being the only thing that doesn't actually have any paint to it I mean
01:41 there's nothing really to look at this and to make the assumption that it's
01:44 really part of a bigger picture I mean the detailing on the other side the part
01:47 that's obviously gonna be facing outward is that it's the prettiest side it's the
01:51 public side as Julia Child would always say I do like the way that this has some
01:55 broken off stone on the side of course you got some nice brick facing there
01:58 colored differently and of course the back side will also be the thing that's
02:01 gonna connect to the turtle behind him you got on the top of there a couple of
02:04 series of grates a nice little attention to detail is the fact there's a little
02:07 sign here for Antonio's pizza you also got yourself what seems to be the
02:11 remains of a Mauser and a couple of little broken broken crates there as
02:15 well it's again it's a finished statue for really all the sides other than
02:19 just knowing if you didn't know for example this was supposed to connect
02:21 with other turtles you would just then look at this and say okay well that's
02:24 just a side they didn't happen to paint but I mean again it looks somewhat
02:28 finished from all the different sides obviously if we scale up a little bit
02:31 more that you can see the detailing done to Leonardo's face one of my again
02:35 favorites of the Ninja Turtles in fact he is my favorite Ninja Turtle I did I
02:38 do think he's been done justice I like the grimace on his face so it doesn't
02:41 look like he has a super serious look in fact actually it looks like he's ready
02:44 to start shredding some Mausers by the looks of it the fact that there's one
02:47 Mauser left behind here he obviously is wielding dual katanas one katana is a
02:52 little bit lower down by his guard here you can see that the blade is actually
02:56 facing the opposite way and actually both the katanas are facing the opposite
02:58 way so it looks like he's actually leaping off the top face of the building
03:01 towards whatever's below him he is actually a little bit more modernized so
03:05 while he may still have the Leonardo L there on his belt actually you can see
03:09 like they've updated the pockets here kind of giving a little bit more of a
03:13 modern take for Leo he's also got again some arm guards there as well the back
03:17 of the shell though looks I really think they've done a great job on the shell
03:20 the coloring on it isn't quite even brown it almost looks like it's got a
03:23 slight greenish tint to it of course you got dual sheets on the back to support
03:28 his dual katanas and those have been nicely painted there as well
03:31 Leonardo does look again fantastic the sculpting and the musculature that
03:35 they've added to the figure is just the right level you don't want to have a
03:37 very lean looking Leo and you don't certainly want to have him like the
03:40 oversized Michael Bay Leonardo which I thought was a little bit too big of a
03:44 turtle he's just the perfect right size and again like the color is fully
03:47 represented here while really only the blue is represented here in the actual
03:51 headband he doesn't have any blue anywhere else on the rest of the figures
03:54 body he is again the way they've chosen even the blue I think the blue works
03:57 really well and especially the whiter eyes I prefer white eyes on my turtles
04:02 as opposed to pupils and again those have been nicely done as well in a way
04:06 it kind of looks like some of the old video game artwork one that I'm trying
04:09 to think of as a hyper stone heist where it's got the turtles on the front here
04:12 especially like the way they've actually darkened shadowing around the areas of
04:16 his eyes to that just make the eyes pop a little bit more colors on his gums are
04:19 nicely done in fact I don't really see any paint problems on the figure at all
04:23 even though like little buckles for example in the fronts of his pockets are
04:26 all nicely painted there in gold the outlining around the L there for Leo
04:29 nicely done and again the sections around his that his feet they're not
04:34 even such essentially boots they're basically just wrappings that he has
04:36 around his feet again nicely painted there as well like it's one of those
04:39 statues that not only as the subject of the statue is nicely painted from all
04:43 the different sides but the fact that again like looking at the display stand
04:46 even though again like I know and now you guys course know because I told you
04:50 guys that it is part of four statues that basically are gonna all go together
04:54 even if you just choose to choose only get one of the turtles which would be a
04:58 little bit strange maybe you could chalk it up to the fact you just don't have as
05:01 much space to accommodate all the four turtles or like myself you just a big
05:04 bigger fan of Leonardo then if you were to just get one of the four turtles
05:07 whether it be Leo whether it be Raphael whether it be Donatello or even
05:11 Michelangelo I think that all the fact that they displayed the statues with the
05:15 display base as they did sculpting it in a way that even on its own it could look
05:19 like a finished statue I mean the black on the side is one telltale sign that's
05:23 obviously gonna be connecting something else but if you overlook that one aspect
05:26 of it it's a statue really that looks finished from all the different sides I
05:29 think diamond select has nailed a perfect looking Leonardo and certainly
05:33 can't wait to have a look at the remaining three if you are a fan of
05:37 Leonardo like I'm a fan of Leonardo you'll be happy to know that the Teenage
05:40 Mutant Ninja Turtles the Leonardo gallery statue is currently available
05:43 either in comic book stores or online if you don't have as much success to find
05:48 them in stores then online listing prices go have him going for around $59.99
05:53 so he's about a $60 statue he's not done in resin but the benefit of him being
05:57 actually done in PVC plastic instead is that fact that like blades for example
06:02 on its katanas there's gonna be the more durability to it I don't think that
06:05 this is a statue that could has been successfully done in resin because
06:08 there's more breakable parts on Leo but he executes just as nicely here in PVC
06:13 plastic he looks good he's got a good form to him I love the way he's leaping
06:16 off the side of the building here he's a well-painted figure and even though he
06:20 is modernized I mean he doesn't have again like the blue elbow pads and the
06:24 blue knee pads he's still enough Leonardo that you recognize the
06:27 character without going too extreme looking at the Michael Bay Leonardo
06:31 what do you guys think of the statue let me know down below in the comment
