00:00 I'm really concerned to hear plans by Transport for Wales to cut services on this, the Cambrian coastline,
00:07 by four train services a day, that we would lose four train services a day.
00:12 I've been here in Barmouth talking to people and what they tell me is that service, the 852 out of Machynlleth to Portelli,
00:18 is a real lifeline. People use it to go shopping, they use it to access services,
00:24 and they can travel back within daylight hours in the winter, and it really matters to elderly people.
00:30 I also understand that under these plans there would be no train after half past seven out of Portelli.
00:36 We really need to keep that half past eight service still ahead.
00:39 And alongside all this, all these concerns, there's been no consultation.
00:43 The unions haven't heard anything about this, the local community councils haven't heard anything about this,
00:48 so it's really important that we all come together and respond strongly to make sure that we keep decent services
00:54 on this essential line through so many of our communities and do it more and more on it.
