Whether it’s for the holidays or a backyard barbecue, this baked ham can easily feed a crowd. In this video, Nicole makes a tender, oven baked pulled ham with a sweet and spicy barbecue sauce. The bulk of this ham’s flavor comes from the seasoned brown sugar rub and a barbecue sauce-apricot preserve mixture. After cooking low and slow in the oven, the smokey ham is easy to shred and perfect for a pulled pork sandwich.

00:00 Whoo, y'all.
00:01 I can honestly say I don't want a ham another way.
00:03 First step is to make a binder with some grainy mustard,
00:06 a little bit of liquid smoke,
00:07 rub that all over the ham,
00:09 and then season it up with a barbecue rub.
00:11 I like one that's a little bit more sweet than salty.
00:13 Place it in a large pan, a disposable pan's great for this
00:16 'cause it makes cleanup a breeze.
00:17 Six ounces of cola.
00:19 Then pop it into the oven at 275 degrees for about two hours.
00:22 After that, simply combine a sweet and spicy barbecue sauce
00:25 with apricot preserves and slather that ham all over.
00:28 I can taste it now.
00:29 Back in, I'm gonna crank the oven up to about 300,
00:32 let it go for several more hours,
00:34 or until the internal temperature is about 205 degrees
00:36 for perfectly shredded ham.
00:38 Look at all this meat.
00:41 This is how you stretch the dollar for Memorial Day,
00:44 Father's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas,
00:46 and it's so easy to separate the fat.
00:49 But the big question, how does it taste?
00:51 It's so tender, sweet, salty, perfection.
