00:00 Moving on to Wrexham, obviously made the headlines, promotion, back-to-back promotion for the
00:07 first time in their history as well. This Hollywood story continues to go on. It's
00:12 proving that everything's coming together and they did it obviously very close last
00:18 season, but they've done it with flying colours this season. Just tell us a bit about how
00:23 they're feeling after this monumental achievement.
00:27 It's brilliant for the city of Wrexham. It's only a few years ago and I think that nobody
00:35 would have really expected what has happened over the last few years. A few near misses
00:40 as well and that's even with the back of Reynolds and Makoheny. Now they're in League One and
00:46 I think there's no real stopping them at the minute, what they can and can't achieve.
00:52 They've got a squad of players that are probably playing below the level that they are. They've
00:57 got a few players that they've taken from the Championship, a few players from League
01:01 One as well. Obviously, they're playing in League Two but they're showing that they're
01:05 higher calibre players. You only have to look at Paul Mullin who's got 24 goals this season.
01:10 There is talk of him potentially getting a Wales caller and Rob Page, which was liked
01:14 by the look of him as well. It's really exciting times for Wrexham. They're excited about what
01:21 they can do in League One. I saw a finance expert, Kieran Maguire, who said that really
01:28 the money they bring in through their documentary that they have and also the interest they
01:33 have from the States and all across the globe could mean that they could be competitive
01:38 in League One as well next year.
01:41 Just on that, obviously looking ahead to League One, it's an incredibly tough division to
01:44 get out of. You have some giants in there really that have fallen down from the Premier
01:50 League over the last decade or so. How do you feel they are going to fare? Is it going
01:55 to be a step too far for them at this moment or do you feel they need a big summer? Do
02:00 you feel they're going to be all right with this current group of players? Because this
02:04 is a very interesting time for them.
02:06 Looking at their squad, I do think some of the players that they have signed are the
02:11 ones that have been there and done it and gone and got promotion as well. A few of them
02:16 are getting on a little bit all the way through to League One and potentially the Championship.
02:21 I think that is a realistic possibility over the last few years. You've always seen one
02:26 team, Lincoln City, at the moment. I know they've been in League One for a few years
02:30 but perhaps not many would have expected them to be in the play-off mix. I think automatic
02:35 promotion, obviously no one has signed any players at the minute and there's still a
02:38 bit of football to be played. I think that they could at least be aiming for the play-offs
02:42 next season. Wrexham, all they've got to do is get a good transfer window and Phil Parkinson
02:48 is obviously someone that has managed throughout the EFL, he's managed through all three divisions
02:52 so he knows what it's all about. I think the play-off, even without them signing any at
02:57 the minute, is a realistic possibility.
