00:00We're gonna get to the second game here of that doubleheader first and that was the Sacramento
00:06Kings 118 Golden State Warriors 94.
00:09When we were doing the show yesterday, myself and Ben here, Davis, it was a minus two point
00:13spread.
00:14I said to myself, I trust the rings over the Kings in this game, which means yes, Sacramento
00:18is talented.
00:19Yes, they are at home.
00:20It's going to be a great atmosphere, but I figured the Golden State Warriors just built
00:24for this atmosphere more than the Sacramento Kings.
00:26The veteran leadership, they're going to steady the pace.
00:28The heart rate won't get too high because they're used to these type of scenarios, only
00:33to find out that the Kings absolutely pounded the Golden State Warriors.
00:37So let's start there.
00:38What was the expectations for you, Davis?
00:40For me, I thought this was a Warriors game.
00:43Maybe if they lost, it would be close.
00:44They got absolutely hammered yesterday by the Kings.
00:49I mean, I really thought this was your classic, you know, battle tested playoff veterans,
00:54Curry, Clay, Draymond.
00:56They've all been there, done that, you know, Looney starting center on a championship team.
01:00Now they do have a lot of young guys in there, you know, Podjemski and Moody and Kaminga.
01:07Those guys really weren't the problem.
01:08If you watch the game, if you look at the box score, the young guys actually all pretty
01:11much did their job.
01:13I mean, it's just very hard to see what's happened to Clay Thompson, I guess, from someone
01:18who has been, you know, witness to so many great moments from him.
01:22But he really, I mean, he's a losing NBA player right now.
01:25He is not nearly as strong on the defensive end as he used to be, pretty much was.
01:31I actually think at their absolute peaks, Clay was an even crazier warper of defenses
01:38because he didn't need to dribble.
01:39He didn't need to look at the basket.
01:41He would come off that elevator, pin down, and it was just like an automatic three points.
01:45There was nothing you could do.
01:48And when Clay's out there playing 31 minutes and can't hit the broadside of a barn, well,
01:52you're basically playing three on five on offense because the Warriors are always playing
01:56a non-shooter right now, whether it be Trace Jackson Davis, Kavon Looney, or Draymond Green.
02:01And it just basically meant that Steph Curry had no room to breathe.
02:04They were trapping him.
02:05They were doubling him.
02:06And I suppose if you had told me that Clay was going to have one of his worst games of
02:11the season, I would have been all over the Kings.
02:13I just didn't really think that was particularly likely.
