Imagine this – sea animals taking to the skies like they own the place! It'd be like a whole new world up there. Picture dolphins doing somersaults through the clouds and whales breaching above the waves. And don't even get me started on flying squids – talk about an aerial acrobatics show! But hey, it's not all fun and games – flying sharks might give you second thoughts about hitting the beach. Still, gotta admit, seeing our underwater buddies spread their wings would be pretty darn cool! ✈️ Animation is created by Bright Side.

00:00 Okay, this is how it starts.
00:04 You're woken up by a strange sound.
00:06 Not the alarm, though.
00:08 It's 5 AM.
00:10 After a few seconds, you realize the strange sound is a knock on the window.
00:15 But you live on the 12th floor.
00:16 Who or what could be knocking?
00:18 Window cleaners?
00:20 You live in an ordinary apartment building, not a skyscraper with offices.
00:25 The knocking is getting stronger.
00:27 You muster up the courage and go to the window, reach for the curtain, and abruptly pull it
00:32 aside.
00:33 What you see is fantastic!
00:36 There are flying or floating small fish outside your window.
00:40 Thousands of them!
00:42 A shoal of sardines rising directly to the sky.
00:46 A few knock on your window as they pass.
00:48 There are so many sardines, you can't see what's going on outside.
00:53 But as the last fish flies by, the full picture opens before you.
00:59 Large and small fish fly between the houses.
01:02 Octopuses cut through the air with their tentacles into a rain cloud.
01:07 A huge whale is slowly drifting toward the horizon.
01:11 Above the roof of a nearby house, two sharks chase four sea lions.
01:16 A neighbor waves to you.
01:17 He holds a fishing rod from the window and waits for the fish to bite.
01:22 A school – no, a flock of dolphins flies past your window.
01:26 They cheerfully whistle as if they're greeting you.
01:29 What's going on?
01:32 You turn on the TV.
01:34 All the channels are playing the same thing.
01:37 Sea creatures of the Earth have learned to fly, leaving the ocean and filling the air.
01:42 All flights worldwide are cancelled, and fishing vessels are idle in the seas, oceans, lakes,
01:48 and rivers.
01:49 And no one knows what happened.
01:51 Well, you get dressed and go outside.
01:54 Sea turtles crawl on the ground.
01:57 They shiver, flap their fins, and rise into the air.
02:00 A flock of shrimp flies past you.
02:04 Has the ocean lost its gravity?
02:06 What happened to all the water?
02:08 You live in a port town, close to the sea, so you decide to go to the coast.
02:14 You reach the shore and see the water is calm.
02:18 Gravity seems to be intact, but the sea creatures continue to take to the air.
02:23 Six months later, people gradually get used to the new natural phenomenon.
02:29 Fish occupy most of the sky.
02:32 Some sea creatures penetrate the middle layers of the atmosphere.
02:36 Smaller birds have almost disappeared since the presence of predatory fish in the sky.
02:42 But birds of prey that hunt fish gained weight.
02:45 They've eaten so much that they can't fly anymore.
02:49 Plump gulls, albatrosses, pelicans, and eagles can hardly walk and barely support themselves.
02:57 Planes stop flying, and ship travel increased.
03:00 The world's ecosystem is completely changing.
03:03 The ocean becomes lifeless.
03:05 The number of bacteria, microbes, and various nutrients in the water move to the air.
03:11 People get sick more often, and in some areas, it becomes difficult to breathe.
03:17 When it rains, millions of shrimp and small fish fall to the ground along with the water.
03:23 Many predatory mammals that have been feeding on fish begin to starve.
03:27 They go out to the roads and cities to find food.
03:32 Scientists research the flying creatures and find that they somehow changed the structure
03:37 of their lungs.
03:38 But how fish got the ability to fly is still unknown.
03:43 It seems nature just decided to push people out of their usual environment.
03:48 Fishermen build balloons to fish in the sky.
03:52 Some athletes throw a lasso at flying whales and ride them like huge horses.
03:58 Though the landing can be difficult.
04:01 Creatures that previously swam only in the very depths of the ocean settle at high altitudes.
04:08 Researchers discover new, previously unknown fish species.
04:12 From the ocean depths, a giant octopus rose into the air.
04:16 Many call it the Kraken.
04:18 This monster has found a new home right on top of Mount Everest.
04:22 Now everyone is afraid to climb this mountain.
04:26 The most deep-water creatures reach space.
04:30 On the ISS, astronauts observe amazing animals flying past.
04:35 They look like aliens from other planets, not Earth.
04:39 In some areas, sharks descend to the ground for food.
04:43 In these places, people are afraid to go out.
04:47 Fishing companies buy huge Boeings and attach nets to it to catch fish in the air.
04:52 But flights are not safe, especially when a whale suddenly appears smack dab in their
04:57 path.
04:59 Authorities impose curfews in many cities.
05:02 People climb to the roofs and watch an incredible sight at night.
05:06 Flying jellyfish floating in the air.
05:09 Thanks to the bioluminescent protein in jellyfish, they glow.
05:14 Stars in the sky mix with the neon transparent creatures.
05:18 But be careful!
05:19 Some of these jellyfish are very venomous.
05:22 Some people were so fascinated by the beautiful jellyfishes that they touched them and ended
05:27 up in the hospital.
05:29 Squids, frightened by the new conditions, release ink into the air.
05:34 When a lot of squids do this, the ink blots out the light from the sun.
05:39 Massive traffic jams appear on the roads because electric eels fly through the streets and
05:44 shock traffic lights.
05:46 While all of humanity is looking up at the sky, almost no one has noticed what is happening
05:51 down here.
05:53 All over the world, people with a strange physical disability show up in hospitals.
05:59 Red holes form under people's ears.
06:02 Doctors don't understand what they're dealing with.
06:05 But then one of the patients jumps into a lake, and it turns out he can breathe underwater.
06:12 All people grow gills.
06:15 It's night.
06:16 A strong storm begins.
06:18 You live in a coastal town and watch the raging sea through the window.
06:22 Lightning strikes through the sky, huge waves crash against the shore, and a downpour turns
06:28 the sand into wet clay.
06:30 In the morning, a lot of fish are going to be washed ashore, you think, and go to bed.
06:36 It's some strange noise that wakes you up.
06:39 It's like hundreds of thousands of hands clapping near your window.
06:43 You go outside and see a huge crowd of people standing by the sea.
06:47 The popping sound is getting louder, and its source is tons of fish washed ashore.
06:54 They've been here for several hours, but are still alive.
06:57 They kick and beat their slippery bodies against the sand.
07:00 You see carp, trout, sardines, and even a few huge great white sharks.
07:06 They are full of energy, snapping their big toothy jaws.
07:10 Somehow, all fish can now breathe air like humans.
07:15 You help other people throw the fish back into the water.
07:18 You can see them swim away into the sea depths.
07:20 But some of them come up and swim close to the surface, enjoying fresh air.
07:25 You've helped almost all the fish, except for the sharks.
07:29 A rescue crane arrives.
07:31 It lifts each of the sharks by its tail, one by one, then carries the fish toward the sea
07:36 and lets it go.
07:38 From the news, you learn that air-breathing fish have been washed ashore not only in your
07:43 city.
07:44 People find them on beaches all over the world.
07:48 Scientists and marine researchers have already gone on a sea expedition to study this unique
07:52 phenomenon.
07:54 Later in the evening, they announce the results of their study.
07:57 Now every sea creature that has gills can also breathe through newly developed lungs.
08:03 They can stay on land for as long as they want.
08:06 They only need to have some water to drink, just like other living creatures.
08:11 Fish absorb water and pass it through their gills.
08:14 The gills have special receptors that draw the air out of the water and send it to the
08:18 fish's bloodstream.
08:20 This way, their bodies receive doses of oxygen needed for life.
08:25 After this, carbon dioxide is formed.
08:27 It enters the fish's blood, then passes through the gills and is released back into the water.
08:33 The ability to breathe through gills has remained unchanged, but the anatomy of these creatures
08:39 is different now.
08:40 They've developed lungs and a respiratory tract.
08:44 When a fish is in the water, it closes this tract and blocks access to the lungs.
08:49 This way, water doesn't get there.
08:51 But when the fish is on the surface, it closes its gills and opens access to the lungs through
08:56 the mouth.
08:57 This amazing metamorphosis doesn't bring significant changes to the world.
09:02 Yet.
09:03 Dolphins and whales have always had lungs.
09:06 Air passes through their nostrils, which are located on the top of their heads.
09:10 This opening is called the blowhole.
09:13 Dolphins come up to the surface, fill their lungs with air, and go under the water for
09:17 a few minutes again.
09:19 Now, not only dolphins, but also all the other sea creatures swim close to the surface.
09:25 You take a boat to go on a sea trip and see this shocking phenomenon with your own eyes.
09:30 The further you get from the shore, the more fish you notice in the water.
09:34 They jump out high and dive back in like dolphins.
09:38 They seem to be enjoying their new ability.
09:40 There are so many of them.
09:42 Several dozen fish jump into your boat.
09:45 You throw them back into the sea.
09:47 You see a huge fin and turn off the engine.
09:50 A shark is swimming a few hundred feet away from you.
09:53 It's about the size of your boat.
09:56 Fortunately, it's distracted by other fish and is not going to hunt you.
10:01 You turn around and go back to the shore.
10:03 Dusk is falling.
10:05 You can see city lights.
10:06 The sea is filled with glowing jellyfish and phytoplankton.
10:10 Because of this, the water is gleaming purple and blue.
10:14 You're fascinated by this sight and don't notice the lights of the town suddenly turn
10:19 off.
10:20 You can hear people screaming.
10:22 The closer you get to the shore, the louder the screams and sounds of something getting
10:26 crushed.
10:27 Finally, you arrive at the pier, get out of the boat, and find that a part of the embankment
10:33 has been ruined.
10:35 Boats are overturned, street lights are broken, electrical wires are torn.
10:40 A long trail of transparent viscous liquid leads from the pier to the town.
10:45 You slip on this slime once or twice.
10:48 The streets are empty.
10:50 Cars are abandoned.
10:51 Windows and houses are broken.
10:53 There's garbage everywhere, and the road is also covered with ooze.
10:58 You hear some kind of popping sound coming from a dark alley.
11:02 It's approaching you.
11:03 A small octopus appears on the road.
11:06 It's moving in a spider-like manner.
11:08 With the help of its tentacles, the creature climbs a car, jumps onto the wall, and crawls
11:14 up.
11:15 After this octopus, another one comes out.
11:17 Several squid follow it.
11:19 Some of them are clumsily crawling towards you.
11:22 You take a step back.
11:24 More and more squid and octopuses appear out of the dark alley.
11:28 Some of them reach the size of a car.
11:30 You see a bicycle lying on the ground and get on it.
11:34 You're traveling through deserted streets, with an army of octopuses crawling behind
11:39 you.
11:40 The ground starts shaking under the wheels of your bike.
11:42 You hear a deafening roar of an unknown beast.
11:46 You look back and immediately regret doing it.
11:49 A huge monster, the size of a five-story building and similar to a squid, breaks the wall of
11:56 the nearest house with one hit of its colossal tentacle.
12:00 The creature has come out of the darkest corner of the sea.
12:03 Ever since the animal got a pair of lungs, it's been looking forward to taking a breath
12:08 of fresh, clean air.
12:10 Instincts brought it to the surface, where it smelled a lot of food.
12:14 The city lights attracted the Kraken's attention!
12:18 Now get a load of this.
12:20 A red whirlwind sweeps along the coast of Australia and heads toward the nearest city.
12:25 This tornado is unique, not by its color, but by what is hidden inside it.
12:30 These are great white sharks, hammerhead sharks, tiger sharks, and bull sharks.
12:35 They fly inside the hurricane, snapping their jaws and trying to grab a piece of meat.
12:41 People who look at this bizarre phenomenon from the outside think that they've got something
12:46 in their drinks.
12:47 But this is reality.
12:49 A shark tornado can really exist?
12:51 Or not?
12:52 Let's find out.
12:55 In 1877, a rather unusual tornado struck a farm in Southern California.
13:01 About 6 small alligators about 1 foot in length fell from the sky that day.
13:06 In 1894, a tornado traveled through England and dropped poisonous jellyfish on people.
13:12 There's a version that tadpoles instead of jellyfish fell on the ground that day, but
13:17 it still sounds quite strange.
13:19 In Kentucky in 1876, there was a black humor ring.
13:23 Doesn't sound funny to me.
13:26 Pieces of meat fell from the sky.
13:28 The locals tasted them and said it was like mutton or venison.
13:32 However, later, birds discovered that a flock of buzzards had flown over that area.
13:38 The birds felt unwell and regurgitated their lunch right in the air.
13:43 And then, I assume, so did the locals who tried it.
13:46 In 1947, fish fell from the sky in Marksville, Louisiana.
13:51 In 2005, there was a rain that contained thousands of frogs in Serbia.
13:56 In 2010, a small town in Australia was hit by a rain of perches.
14:01 You know, fish.
14:02 And now, imagine that all these strange phenomena were caused by one villainous corporation
14:08 where evil geniuses work.
14:11 And one of them is you.
14:12 So you decide to make the most incredible natural cataclysm in history – a tornado
14:18 of sharks, or Sharknado.
14:21 It seems like it's impossible, but you're going to try.
14:24 Because you have nothing better to do.
14:26 So first, we need to understand what a water spout is.
14:29 It's a column of rotating air filled with clouds.
14:33 This vortex occurs during a thunderstorm when warm air releases a large amount of heat.
14:39 This heat becomes the energy that moves the rising air currents.
14:43 This warm moist air goes up, and cold dry air descends.
14:47 The difference in temperatures preserves instability and helps tornadoes develop.
14:53 When it forms over the water, a tornado becomes a water spout.
14:57 It can draw in particles of seawater, some objects, and even fish.
15:01 But everything depends on the strength of this vortex.
15:04 You've probably seen it when tornadoes lifted cars into the air, or tore the roofs off of
15:10 buildings.
15:11 There's a video on the Internet where a tornado raises cows into the air.
15:16 And an ordinary cow weighs about 1,400 pounds.
15:20 Now in comparison, the Great White Shark is about 4,400 pounds.
15:25 If a tornado could lift several cows, it could cope with a shark.
15:29 But besides the Great White one, there are Tiger sharks, Bull sharks, and Hammerhead
15:34 sharks.
15:35 All of them weigh less.
15:36 Therefore, there's no doubt that a tornado could possibly lift them into the air too.
15:42 Ok, now we can assume it's in the realm of possibilities.
15:46 The next step is to create a real tornado.
15:49 To do this, you need to heat the air and then make it rotate.
15:53 The cold air will start to go down, and you will get a whirlwind.
15:57 One engineer from Canada named Lewis built devices that created tornadoes.
16:02 He made several prototypes before assembling a real vortex engine.
16:06 According to him, anyone can do it.
16:08 However, these vortices were small.
16:11 This device created thin jets of air that swirled and produced mini-tornadoes, which
16:16 then quickly dissipated due to strong winds.
16:19 That's it for today!
16:20 So hey, if you pacified your curiosity, then give the video a like and share it with your
16:25 friends!
