Alleged victims of a second IT scandal at the Post Office believe they are in possession of ‘definitive’ proof they were wrongly convicted after unearthing a set of floppy disks dating back 30 years, i can reveal.

00:00 This is a short video clip that illustrates the upgrade of the CAPTCHA software from version C25
00:06 to version C35 and we will see illustrated during this sequence the fact that
00:15 the system loses funds as a result of being upgraded. We've managed to obtain these two
00:24 versions of the software. We have many others in the works but as you can see we're now back in
00:30 August 1992 and various transactions are being entered into the system and an end-of-week routine
00:38 is running and what this illustrates is that as a result of the upgrade, monies held under the
00:47 previous version are missing. So in effect the system is losing money. It's not real money,
00:57 it's phantom money but it's telling us money is gone and has been lost. So here we are,
01:05 you know, we're in week number 20 in 1992 and we're looking at the reports from the system.
01:16 Money has been entered into the system and a balance due to the post office produced
01:21 but it has lost funds that were on hand at the end of the previous week.
