How To Make Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast

Ingredients
4 - 6 slices French bread, sliced 1 1/2 thick
4-ounces cream cheese, softened
2 heaping tablespoons powdered sugar
1 - 2 tablespoons strawberry jam or preserves
1 egg
3 tablespoons buttermilk
Dash of vanilla
2 tablespoons butter for cooking
Directions
In small bowl, stir together cream cheese, sugar and jam. Cut two inch pockets into bread. Place 1 tablespoon of cream cheese mixture into each slice of bread.
In another bowl, whisk together egg, buttermilk and vanilla.
Heat skillet on medium high heat. Add butter. Dip each piece of bread into egg mixture coating both sides. Place in hot skillet. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side until crisp and golden brown. Garnish with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
