00:00 If you cannot be dedicated 100% to the one thing in life, it's not worth living.
00:07 Balance is not something good.
00:09 This concept of balance comes from the point of industrial revolution.
00:14 Now, industrial revolution threw up a lot of jobs that were inherently soul-sapping.
00:20 So, for example, in a factory, you are just standing by an assembly line and inspecting goods as they pass by.
00:27 And what's your job 8 hours of the day? To keep looking at goods and if one of them is not proper, then you pull it out.
00:33 Now, this kind of job is something no sane man can live with. It will kill you.
00:38 Maybe you can do it for 2 days, 4 days, a month. But if you are told to do it for 20 years, how will you live?
00:43 So, the concept of work-like balance came in. You can say, "Alright, I tortured myself for 8 hours in the job,
00:49 but in return of that, I got some money and using that money, I bought a vacation. And in the vacation, I had fun."
00:55 So see there was a balance. There was torture and then there was fun and they were balanced.
