00:00 - Coach, now please, now please.
00:03 Coach, strength's a little bit high.
00:04 This is gonna be the line right here.
00:06 Don't worry about it.
00:07 Anything below here is gonna be illegal.
00:10 Anything below here, illegal.
00:12 I gave you both instructions.
00:13 Just wanna remind you, please listen
00:15 and follow my instructions at all times.
00:16 Protect yourself at all times.
00:18 Fight hard, fight clean.
00:20 Good luck to both of you.
00:21 - Down, down, down!
00:23 - Jack Reiss giving this main event to Simon.
00:26 Ten rounds of boxing scheduled.
00:28 This for the vacant WBC Continental Americas
00:31 Welterweight Championship.
00:33 TJ DeSantis along with Abel Sanchez,
00:36 Doug Fisher, the King Callum Walsh hanging out.
00:39 - Thank you.
00:41 - Our main event of the evening has arrived.
00:44 - You ready?
00:46 - Armenian National Champion, Gore Yuritsian,
00:47 taking on the Texas native in quick draw,
00:50 Quinton Randall.
00:51 Randall in the red, Gore Yuritsian in the purple,
00:54 trim with black.
00:55 (crowd shouting)
00:58 Doug, we've been able to see the evolution
01:07 of Gore Yuritsian on this Hollywood Fight Night stage
01:10 with receipts and promotions.
01:12 What's your biggest takeaway in the fights
01:13 that you've seen Gore compete in?
01:15 - I think he's good all around.
01:17 He's a good technician, he's a boxer, puncher.
01:20 He's athletic.
01:22 I think he's in his athletic prime.
01:26 Like I said at the start of this broadcast,
01:29 he just needed activity.
01:30 He'd been out of the ring for a while
01:31 'cause of managerial stuff
01:33 and he had to get over a serious elbow injury.
01:36 But he got that activity last year
01:38 against a certain level of opposition
01:40 and this is the real litmus test.
01:43 He's got that foundation.
01:45 He's got the foundation of having
01:47 an extensive amateur career.
01:49 He was a top European level amateur
01:52 and he trains with Freddie Roach,
01:54 a Hall of Famer for a reason.
01:55 The Wild Card Boxing Club is one of the most
01:58 renowned gyms in the world and for good reason.
02:01 But now it's time to put that all to the test
02:03 against a real opponent,
02:05 somebody who is a good amateur in his own right,
02:08 has the height and reach advantages,
02:10 but also a style that can be difficult for anybody.
02:13 - We got Callum Walsh here in the booth obviously.
02:15 King Callum trains at the Wild Card.
02:17 Talk about that gym, Callum,
02:18 'cause you have athletes from all over the world.
02:20 As Corey, you were saying,
02:21 lands a nice shot to the body.
02:23 The Wild Card's a lot different.
02:24 You level up quickly there
02:26 with the amount of talent you're training with.
02:27 - Yeah, absolutely.
02:28 I realized that the first day I got there.
02:30 I sparred six rounds.
02:31 I came straight from my amateurs into the Wild Card
02:33 and sparred six rounds straight away.
02:35 And you know, gore's been the same.
02:36 We spar everybody.
02:37 Everybody sparrs each other.
02:38 Gore fights right below me and we still get in there
02:41 and we spar each other.
02:42 And that's the thing about the Wild Card.
02:44 There's no easy sparring.
02:45 You don't go in and get a nice easy day.
02:47 Every day you're being put through.
02:50 You're sparring eight, 10, 12 rounds.
02:52 I mean, hard rounds too,
02:53 where we're three or four different people
02:55 that are top level fighters too.
02:57 So you can see it from the speed
02:58 and how sharp Gore is tonight.
03:00 You can tell he's been having some good sparring
03:02 for this camp.
03:03 - Inside the final minute of this opening round
03:07 against schedule 10 rounds.
03:09 This is our main event for the WBC
03:10 Continental America's welterweight title.
03:12 (crowd cheering)
03:15 Ooh, big left hand.
03:17 (crowd cheering)
03:18 Quinn's wrong.
03:19 In a little bit of trouble.
03:21 Seems to be no worse for the wear.
03:25 (crowd cheering)
03:28 Along with that left hand is Armenian and Gore Yuritsian.
03:34 (crowd chattering)
03:37 Final 10 seconds of the opening round.
03:40 (crowd cheering)
03:47 (bell dings)
03:49 First round in the books.
03:50 Abel Sanchez, your thoughts on the performance
03:52 of Gore Yuritsian?
03:54 - I thought that he figured something out.
03:56 I think that he figured out that when
03:58 Quinton moved his knee to his right,
04:00 he moves the back foot, he pivots the back foot,
04:02 and he's throwing a left hook.
04:03 As soon as he does that foot move,
04:04 he throws a left hook and he catches him on balance.
04:06 Doesn't land like real hard, but it does land.
04:12 It looks like a lot in the judges.
04:15 - I'm sure Yuritsian won that opening round.
04:17 Look inside the corner here.
04:22 Legendary Freddie Roach.
04:25 Supporting Gore Yuritsian tonight.
04:26 (crowd chattering)
04:29 See what adjustments are made here by both athletes
04:39 as we head into round number two.
04:45 - I'm gonna hand it over to you, DeSantis,
04:46 along with Abel Sanchez, Doug Fisher, and The King.
04:49 Callum Walsh, kind enough to join us here inside the booth.
04:53 Gore Yuritsian taking on Quinton Randall,
04:55 our main event at Tom Lafleur's
04:57 and 360 Promotions Hollywood Fight Nights.
04:59 (crowd chattering)
05:02 Still here early in the fight, Callum.
05:10 What do you expect from Gore in these earlier rounds?
05:13 - Like I said at the start there,
05:15 I'm gonna keep moving to the boxing,
05:16 just try to stay away from him.
05:17 And I'd like to see Gore go to the body early
05:20 and watch him slow him down.
05:21 Stop him from moving around so much and get the finish.
05:24 You know, I would like to see Gore finish him,
05:26 but I think he has to go to the body to slow him down.
05:29 - No stranger to the finish is Yuritsian.
05:33 17 wins, 14 by way of knockout.
05:36 But Callum, you mentioned it, you gotta attack the body.
05:38 You can't fall in love with your power.
05:40 It's something that you have to allow
05:42 and be patient for it to present itself to stop.
05:44 - Yeah, absolutely.
05:45 You're right.
05:47 One thing I love to do is I love to go to the body early.
05:49 I love to go to the body with every opponent.
05:50 I have a lot of knockouts in my amateur fights
05:53 with body shots and even in sparring,
05:55 in my own fights, you see I go to the body a lot.
05:58 Doesn't matter how much you train,
06:00 how many sit-ups you do,
06:01 you get caught with a good body shot, that's it.
06:03 - And looking at Randall,
06:06 he's a man that has never been stopped in his career.
06:09 It'd be quite the feather in his cap.
06:10 Nice left hand to the body by Yuritsian.
06:13 You gotta like that one, Callum.
06:14 - Yeah, they're the kind of shots you need now,
06:15 especially with an opponent like this
06:16 that's gonna keep moving.
06:17 You need to slow him down, break the body,
06:19 and then go to the head after.
06:21 - What's the old saying, Abel?
06:26 Punish the body and the head will die?
06:28 - He's doing a good job.
06:29 He's doing a good job of that.
06:31 Hitting the arms, hitting the body,
06:34 all that will take its toll as the round's going.
06:38 - Doug, what do you see from Quentin Randall thus far?
06:42 Do you see him making any adjustments
06:44 from the first round to the second round?
06:45 - He's getting his jab off.
06:47 It's a sharp jab.
06:49 It's like a flicking backhand, the way he executes it.
06:52 - Let each other go, pull your arms away and fight out of it.
06:54 - I would prefer like a straight-on jab, you know,
06:57 where he's landing with the knuckles on his fist
07:00 to get more respect from Yuritsian,
07:03 maybe back Yuritsian up and set up some other punches.
07:07 But so far, all I can say is he's showing a nice jab.
07:11 He's minimizing the punishment with this lateral movement.
07:15 But I was hoping to see a little bit more from Quentin Randall
07:18 and maybe he will.
07:19 He knows he has 10 rounds to work with.
07:21 And maybe he'll warm his way into this fight.
07:24 But so far, I just, I see a nice pesky flicking jab
07:28 from Quentin Randall.
07:29 - Final few moments here of the second round.
07:40 [indistinct chatter]
07:43 [bell dings]
07:47 - Two rounds into our main event.
07:49 [cheers and applause]
07:51 Gore Yuritsian dictating the pace,
07:54 controlling the flow of the action here through two.
07:58 Tell me your thoughts on what we've seen from Gore.
08:02 And if you were working with Gore,
08:04 what would you like to see him do in round number three?
08:06 - I'll just tell him to keep doing the same thing.
08:08 Keep working the body, keep pushing the pace.
08:10 - Yeah, man, he's flicking out the jab.
08:12 He moved ahead of small over here.
08:15 I can't say much.
08:16 I got hit a lot in my last round.
08:18 I just say keep going to the body.
08:20 Just keep trying to break the body
08:21 and slow him down a bit.
08:23 - Okay.
08:24 - He's all right. He's in line.
08:25 - Just have to break the body,
08:26 especially with a guy like that,
08:27 he'll do it in a round.
08:28 - Right there for you.
08:30 - You seem like a guy who doesn't mind
08:32 taking a couple shots in a fight either.
08:34 - I can take a shot.
08:35 - Yeah.
08:36 I mean, it's not a fight unless you're in a fight, right?
08:38 - That's it, guys.
08:39 - I got a shot right there for you.
08:40 You might as well.
08:41 Have fun.
08:42 While I'm young, while I'm young.
08:43 - Exactly.
08:44 Can't wait to see the kiddo back in action
08:46 inside the theater.
08:48 Madison Square Garden, March 15th.
08:49 All right.
08:50 Round three underway.
08:51 Our main event, Gore Yuritsy,
08:53 and in the purple and black,
08:54 taking on Quick Draw, Quinton Randall,
08:57 who's sporting the red trunks tonight.
08:59 Again, scheduled 10 rounds of boxing
09:01 for the Continental America's Welterweight title.
09:03 - We got a right hand down there.
09:06 - Box him up!
09:07 - Let's see if Randall tries to--
09:09 - Let him go work out.
09:10 - Get some aggression going.
09:11 Kind of getting gold here.
09:13 And then a bit on the run.
09:14 He's shaking his head at Gore, saying he's not hurt.
09:18 Randall able, really just sort of letting Yuritsy
09:22 determine how this fight unfolds thus far.
09:24 - Randall's not trying to make any mistakes,
09:29 but I think that Gore started out with a double jab,
09:33 started out with a double jab,
09:34 started out with a double jab,
09:35 Gore started out with a double jab,
09:36 started out with a lot of feints.
09:38 I think that's what he needs to continue,
09:39 make him commit to land the shots that you want to land.
09:44 He's gotten away from the double jab.
09:48 He's gotten away from, he's just standing there.
09:50 He's got to feint, he's got to make him react.
09:53 Can't match, I don't think he can match speeds.
09:55 It's not a good idea to see who's first.
09:58 - Has Randall thrown a right hand yet?
10:02 - No.
10:03 - Just checking.
10:05 (crowd shouting)
10:07 - Stop, my break, my break.
10:11 Step away from each other.
10:12 - 90 seconds down, 90 left to go here in round number three.
10:17 Body attack again on display there by Gore Yuritsy.
10:25 - Gore's looking really sharp,
10:32 very, really dialed in.
10:34 His punches are nice and crisp.
10:36 He's looking a lot better than he did
10:38 in New York City in November.
10:41 - He absolutely does look better.
10:43 - You mentioned Randall really just throwing a jab
10:53 back to wave Yuritsy.
10:54 (crowd cheering)
10:56 A lot of jabs and a lot of shaking
10:58 of the head from quick draw.
10:59 (crowd shouting)
11:02 - Let each other go, work out of it, come on.
11:08 - Two men clinch up.
11:10 Doesn't seem like Randall is landing the jab that often.
11:14 It's keeping Yuritsy in at bay.
11:18 (crowd cheering)
11:23 - Thudding punch gets through there by Yuritsy.
11:25 - Yeah, but not for the entire round, obviously.
11:29 - Yuritsy is still finding his spots to land heavy shots.
11:32 (punching)
11:37 (bell ringing)
11:46 - Three rounds down in our main event.
11:48 WBC Continental America's welterweight title is on the line.
11:53 We're gonna go inside the corner of Gore Yuritsy
11:56 in with chief corner, Freddie Roach.
11:58 (crowd shouting)
12:01 - Very good round, nice combination.
12:03 - He's good, he's good.
12:04 - Nice combination, all right?
12:07 You can land with both hands on this guy.
12:09 Whatever you throw, he can walk right into it, okay?
12:13 Put those numbers together, okay?
12:14 - Yeah.
12:15 - Yes.
12:17 - One, two, three, jab with right hand,
12:19 mix 'em up, okay?
12:20 - Okay.
12:21 - Walk him into it.
12:22 - Yes, sir.
12:23 - Push him, you're too strong for him.
12:25 - Yes, sir.
12:26 - All right, you're way too strong for him.
12:27 Put those combinations together,
12:30 show you're the strength, okay?
12:31 - Uh-huh.
12:32 - Let's go.
12:33 - You keep me on that side, you get that number, right?
12:36 - Okay, second round.
12:36 - You have to step into that number right there.
12:38 - Jerry Shaw.
12:39 - Four.
12:40 Four.
12:42 (bell rings)
12:46 - Round four underway, Gore Yuritsy and Quentin Randle
12:49 in our main event.
12:50 I'm Tom Lafleur, 360 Promotions,
12:52 Hollywood Fight Night, TJ DeSantis,
12:54 Abel Sanchez, Doug Fisher,
12:55 along with the King, Callum Walsh.
12:58 Appreciate you joining us live on UFC Fight Pass.
13:02 - Stop, my break, stop, step back, box.
13:13 - Firing off that left hand to the body is Yuritsy.
13:20 (crowd shouting)
13:23 - Stop, nobody punch, nobody punch.
13:34 Let him out, let him out, step back, cue.
13:36 Box.
13:37 - One minute of elapsed time here in the fourth.
13:47 Back to the body goes Yuritsy.
13:49 - Let him go, let him go. - Time to right hand.
13:51 - Put your arm out. - Letting him work in the clinch.
13:53 Randle able to get free, now make space.
13:57 (crowd shouting)
13:58 - Another left hand.
14:00 - Let each other go.
14:14 Let him go, cue.
14:15 - Halfway point of the round. - Let him go there, Gore.
14:16 - Doug Yuritsy in the spar here, round four.
14:18 - I'm saying Randle trying to make it as awkward as possible
14:21 whenever Yuritsy gets a little bit too close.
14:24 He can do that, he's very,
14:26 despite having those really long arms,
14:29 he can tie guys up real effectively on the inside.
14:33 Kind of like an octopus, really.
14:35 And Yuritsy is gonna have to figure out ways
14:38 to break him down inside and avoid those clinches.
14:42 - Watch the elbows, watch the elbows.
14:43 Stop, stop, my break, my break, stop.
14:46 - To add to that, Dougie,
14:48 when they get inside in a tie-up,
14:49 we knew that this fight was gonna happen eight weeks ago.
14:52 Right, so when you get inside a tie-up,
14:54 I wanna see Gore move.
14:57 I wanna see him step around and create an opening
14:59 instead of waiting for the referee to tie.
15:01 You knew you were gonna be tied up,
15:02 so your tactic should be to not allow him
15:06 to just stand still.
15:07 Move him, move him, create that opportunity.
15:09 Don't let the referee come in and break you up.
15:12 But he stands and waits for the referee.
15:14 Like right there, okay?
15:16 Move your feet, create an opportunity.
15:17 Get your ass back.
15:18 Get your butt back so that you can throw a punch.
15:21 But he is definitely an awkward guy to fight, though.
15:45 - Four rounds down here in our main event, Gore Yuritsian.
15:48 Taking on Quentin "Quick Draw" Randall.
15:52 Now we'll look in the corner of Quentin Randall.
16:02 Doug, when you look at Quentin Randall,
16:11 yes, he's unorthodox, yes, he's making things awkward,
16:15 but what is he gonna do to try to give some offense?
16:17 - Proudly so.
16:18 I mean, when we asked him to define his style,
16:22 first thing he said was "slick," and then he said "awkward."
16:24 And he said, "Very awkward, and I like being that way."
16:27 And then he told us his hero was Bernard Hopkins,
16:29 who could make fights ugly from time to time.
16:32 And he said he always loved that about Bernard,
16:35 being that kind of ring general
16:37 that can neutralize his opponents,
16:39 not necessarily by landing punches.
16:43 - But I'm sorry, the second part of your question--
16:45 - Well, I was just gonna say, real quick,
16:46 I mean, based on what you just said,
16:47 is "slick" another word for "awkward"?
16:50 Because if that's the case, I'm real slick.
16:52 - No, you know, "slick" in the boxing sense
16:56 at the highest level is, you know,
16:58 that's Floyd Mayweather Jr.,
17:00 that's Sugar Ray Leonard, Sugar Ray Robinson.
17:04 You know, you should be able to be a beautiful boxer.
17:06 You just-- "slick" means you're smooth and you're elusive,
17:10 but you're also, you know, you're employing
17:12 the sweet science.
17:15 - TJ DeSantis along with Abel Sanchez, Doug Fisher,
17:18 the King Callum Walsh, ringside here tonight
17:21 inside Chumash Casino.
17:22 Appreciate you joining us live on UFC Fight Pass
17:24 for Hollywood Fight Nights.
17:26 Callum, your thoughts on what we're seeing from Gore
17:28 thus far as we are into round number five?
17:32 - Yeah, no, I'd just like to see a bit more work
17:34 on the inside from Gore.
17:35 'Cause I feel like when he closes the distance
17:38 and gets inside, I wanna see more punches,
17:40 you know what I mean?
17:42 He's holding and kind of waiting for the referee
17:43 to just break it up instead of just getting his hands free
17:45 and punching.
17:47 I'd like to see some more work on it.
17:49 Like right here now, you know, I'd like to see
17:50 some punches here when he gets close.
17:52 - Yeah, that's something that Coach noted.
17:54 Is that sort of like a holdover from the amateurs?
17:56 Like, when guys get tied up in the amateurs,
17:58 is it customary just to wait, just to, you know,
18:01 stay in that position and wait for the referee
18:03 to break him up? - Yeah, absolutely.
18:04 You know, in the amateurs, the referee breaks the fight,
18:06 so, I mean, when he touches there, he's breaking it.
18:07 So, yeah, maybe that is a thing from the amateurs,
18:09 but I don't know.
18:11 My amateur coaches always tell me,
18:13 "Once you get close, just get your hands free and punch."
18:15 You know, when they're holding, you're punching.
18:17 A lot of people, they put their hands out too, you know,
18:19 and kind of say, "Oh, you just got to punch.
18:21 You know, get your hands free and punch."
18:22 And I think if Gore was doing that,
18:24 he'd do a lot better, you know, on the inside.
18:26 - Yeah, and to add to that, Cal,
18:29 not only punching, but if he moves his feet,
18:31 it creates that distance to be able to throw that punch.
18:34 If you wanna throw a left hook, then move a little bit
18:35 to the right, throw a left hook.
18:37 Create that opportunity instead of just waiting.
18:39 - Yeah, absolutely.
18:40 - Two minutes of elapsed time here in round number five.
18:45 Again, this is our main event.
18:46 Armenia's Gore Yuritsyan taking on the Texas native
18:48 and quick-draw Quentin Randall.
18:50 This is for the WBC Continental Americas
18:53 welterweight title.
18:54 [crowd cheering]
18:57 [crowd shouting]
19:00 [whistle blows]
19:03 [whistle blows]
19:06 [crowd shouting]
19:09 [whistle blows]
19:12 [crowd cheering]
19:15 [whistle blows]
19:17 - Knot in the head there by Quentin Randall
19:19 inside the final 30 seconds of round number five.
19:22 [crowd shouting]
19:25 [crowd shouting]
19:28 [crowd shouting]
19:31 [crowd shouting]
19:34 [crowd shouting]
19:37 [crowd cheering]
19:38 - Coming live here is Gore Yuritsyan.
19:40 - Stop, stop, stop.
19:41 - Final moments here of this fifth round.
19:44 [bell rings]
19:45 And we are officially halfway through our main event.
19:48 [crowd cheering]
19:50 Caleb Walsh is a spectator tonight here inside
19:52 Chumash Casino Resort, but he's gonna be a participant
19:55 once again inside the theater at Madison Square Garden.
19:58 We saw you shine there last November.
20:01 You get to do it once again at St. Patrick's Day weekend.
20:05 - Yeah, definitely I'm looking forward to getting back in there
20:07 St. Patrick's Day weekend, you know.
20:09 They say you're only as good as your last performance,
20:11 and I wasn't really happy with my last performance.
20:13 You know, I know I'm a lot better than what I showed.
20:15 It was my-- maybe it was the first night, you know,
20:17 first big night in a big arena in front of a big crowd,
20:20 in front of my first time fighting as a professional,
20:22 in front of my old coaches from back home.
20:25 In front of my family, with their friends.
20:26 And, you know, maybe I didn't feel it mentally,
20:28 but maybe my body felt a bit nervous, you know.
20:30 I felt the pressure a small bit.
20:32 But yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to getting back in there
20:34 and showing what I can do,
20:36 'cause I know I'm 100 times better
20:38 than what I showed last time.
20:39 - Well, you carry that experience
20:40 as well as that undefeated record.
20:43 Back to MSG, the theater, the site next month
20:46 for Hollywood Fight Night's King Caleb Walsh back in action.
20:49 The action continues here tonight in our main event.
20:51 Round six underway.
20:53 I'm John Urician, taking on Quentin Randall.
20:56 I'm TJ DeSantis, along with Abel Sanchez, Doug Fisher,
20:59 and the aforementioned King Caleb Walsh.
21:01 Live tonight inside Chumash Casino Resort.
21:03 It is a site of Hollywood Fight Nights.
21:05 Big left.
21:12 Nicely done by Urician.
21:14 We'll see if he can capitalize on it.
21:17 (crowd shouting)
21:19 Calum, earlier we were talking about the body work
21:27 that you wanted to see from Gori Urician.
21:29 Now we're into the second half of the fight.
21:31 Would you like to see that body attack continue?
21:34 - I wanna see more punches,
21:35 but I just keep seeing him getting close
21:36 and he's just staying there.
21:37 He's not letting the hands go.
21:39 Like the guy is moving and moving,
21:41 and then when he gets close and he closes the distance,
21:43 he's not letting the hands go.
21:45 (crowd shouting)
21:48 - Doubling up on that jab is Urician.
21:57 Goes back to the body.
21:59 - Right there, right there.
22:01 That's where I wanna see him punch him, right there.
22:02 And his hands are free too.
22:03 They're not even holding.
22:04 They're just looking at each other.
22:06 (crowd shouting)
22:09 - Right here, right here, see?
22:11 (crowd shouting)
22:14 - Pass the halfway point of this round.
22:19 - Randall landed a nice sneaky right hand
22:24 on the way out there.
22:25 - Yeah.
22:26 And before that, a two-piece to the body.
22:29 (crowd shouting)
22:32 (crowd shouting)
22:35 - Right hand over the top.
22:42 Now Randall fires back a combination of his own.
22:45 - I don't know if that uppercut landed flush,
22:49 but it did send a message to Urician.
22:51 (crowd shouting)
22:54 - This is definitely the best round of the fight thus far
23:01 for Quentin Randall.
23:02 (crowd shouting)
23:05 - It seems like the crowd is responding
23:07 to the competitive nature of this round.
23:09 - Final 30 seconds of round number six.
23:15 (crowd shouting)
23:19 - Quentin Randall starting to gain some confidence here.
23:23 We'll see how Urician responds.
23:28 (crowd shouting)
23:31 (bell ringing)
23:45 - Six down, four to go.
23:47 Our main event of the evening.
23:50 Definitely saw the best round of the night thus far
23:52 for Quentin Randall in this one.
23:55 Abel, you talked about how this fight
23:57 was gonna be a main event fight of the night.
24:00 Tell us what you see here.
24:01 Is it shaping up to your expectations?
24:03 - I think it's starting to shape up now.
24:04 I think the first four or five rounds,
24:06 Quentin was trying to maybe drag out the fight a little bit
24:09 and make Gore commit, but I think this last round
24:12 was exactly how I saw the fight.
24:14 I saw Quentin trying to win
24:16 and trying to have a big year in 2024.
24:20 Gore, they both landed great right hands in that last round.
24:22 - I missed that in real time.
24:24 I thought it was just Gore who landed a big right hand.
24:27 - Yeah, it was an exchange.
24:28 - He wanted to win.
24:30 - Let's go.
24:31 (crowd shouting)
24:32 - Mixing it up.
24:33 That overhand right was beautiful at the end of that round.
24:34 All right, mix it up.
24:35 (crowd shouting)
24:39 - Quentin, seven.
24:40 - Here we go as we enter the seventh round
24:44 of tonight's main event.
24:46 Again, WBC Continental America's Welterweight title
24:49 is on the line.
24:51 Just saw a solid round turned in by Quentin Randall.
24:54 (crowd shouting)
24:55 I believe that he's gonna wanna try to keep
24:58 that momentum on his side.
24:59 And we'll see how Gore Yuritsy in response.
25:02 (crowd shouting)
25:23 - Doug, anything you've seen from Randall in that last round
25:26 and to begin this round that is telling you
25:29 why he's maybe found a little bit more success?
25:31 (crowd shouting)
25:33 - No, I just think he's got the confidence now
25:35 to let his hands go a little bit more.
25:37 And the more he does it, the more punches he lands,
25:40 the more confidence he's going to have.
25:44 In the previous round, there was like short
25:47 two pieces to the body and close.
25:50 There was short crosses on the inside
25:52 as he was stepping out.
25:54 And they exchanged those right hands
25:56 right at the end of the round.
25:57 And now we're seeing a straight right to the body,
26:00 which I think is a good idea.
26:02 I don't know why we're not seeing one-two combinations,
26:05 just straight down the pike with his reach.
26:08 - And his hand speed.
26:09 - Yeah, right, exactly, his hand speed as well.
26:14 It's not like Gore is-- - Stop, do not punch.
26:16 Do not punch. Let him out.
26:17 - We're seeing a lot of head movement
26:18 or upper body movement from Gore
26:19 to sort of dissuade him from doing that.
26:23 - Kellum, now you see how coaches feel in the corner.
26:26 - Keep doing that, keep doing that.
26:28 Punch him in the side.
26:30 - I don't know if I'm allowed to do that from here, but--
26:31 - Oh, no, you can. No, no, no.
26:32 Listen, now you know how we feel in the corner
26:34 when you don't do what we see.
26:36 - There's not much, though.
26:37 When you know you can do it, and you just can't underneath.
26:39 I mean, there's not much now.
26:41 - Punch him in the side.
26:44 - Two down, one to go here in this seventh round.
26:47 TJ DeSantis, Abel Sanchez, Doug Fisher,
26:50 joined by King Kellum Walsh here ringside.
26:53 - You see what I mean?
26:55 I told him, I told him.
26:57 I'm taking credit for that one, ain't I?
26:59 He looked at me and I told him.
27:01 - I'm glad he's listening to you.
27:03 That was a nice double hook on the inside.
27:05 - That's all he has to do.
27:06 Once he gets in close, just let the hands go.
27:09 It's a shorter combination, see what I mean?
27:10 - We got another one of Coach Kellum Walsh.
27:13 - That's it, yeah. - Coach Kellum.
27:15 I like it.
27:16 - So you know he's doing much better.
27:17 He's getting the confidence back too
27:18 'cause he's landing shots.
27:20 - Work out of it, work out of it.
27:21 Free up your hands.
27:23 Gore, let him go, Gore.
27:25 Free up your hands. Stop, stop, stop.
27:27 When you tie it up like that, be careful of the back of the head.
27:29 Box.
27:31 - Final 10 seconds here, the seventh round.
27:33 - Yes, sir.
27:34 [crowd shouting]
27:37 [bell dings]
27:40 - There we go, seven down, three to go.
27:43 WBC Continental America's welterweight title
27:46 hangs in the balance.
27:48 Kellum Walsh, tell me what you saw in that round
27:51 and do you like what you see from Gore?
27:54 - Yeah, towards the end, he kind of looked out at me
27:56 and I told him, "Punch on the inside.
27:57 "When you get close, just let your hands go."
27:59 And he did it twice there at the end
28:00 and he got his confidence back.
28:01 You know, you could see he started to enjoy it a bit more
28:03 'cause he was landing good, clean punches.
28:05 But that's gonna be the difference
28:06 over these next couple of rounds.
28:07 If he keeps--if he just punches on the inside,
28:09 he's gonna be able to get a lot of points.
28:11 If he keeps--if he just punches on the inside
28:13 and just throws some more combinations,
28:14 he can win this easy, you know?
28:18 - What would you be saying if you were in the corner?
28:20 Just more volume, more punches?
28:21 - I would just tell him, "You have to win this fight.
28:23 "Go out and win it. Once you get close, punch.
28:25 "Stop holding. Stop looking for the referee.
28:27 "Just punch, punch. You know what I mean?
28:28 "Just keep punching."
28:31 He can do it. I've seen him do it.
28:33 - See, TJ, a lot of times people mistake who's holding.
28:37 When Gore gets close,
28:40 you think that this guy is holding.
28:41 It's Gore that's holding.
28:42 He's the one that put his arm out first.
28:44 - Right. - So by putting his arm out first,
28:46 he can't use it.
28:47 So now he's doing what Kelton was just talking about.
28:49 Now he's keeping his arms outside,
28:50 and he's being able to work.
28:53 - Eighth round underway.
28:55 Again, our main event, Gore Yuritsian
28:57 taking on Texas' Quinton Randall.
29:01 TJ DeSantis along with Doug Fisher, Abel Sanchez.
29:05 We're joined by King Kalamush ringside
29:07 inside the Chumash Casino Resort.
29:10 - He has a one-two, Quinton.
29:13 - Randall popping that jab.
29:14 Now Yuritsian responding with a couple jabs of his own.
29:19 - [speaking foreign language]
29:22 - Glory action.
29:26 Nice left hand finds a home for Yuritsian.
29:29 - Punch, punch.
29:31 - I like it when Gore punches in combination.
29:33 - He's quick, too, and he's accurate.
29:35 You know what I mean?
29:37 - Nice combination. Beautiful.
29:39 - Honest play there by the Armenian, Gore Yuritsian.
29:43 - Now punch inside, Gore. Punch inside. Punch.
29:47 - All right, stop. Nobody punch.
29:48 Nobody punch. Step away from each other.
29:49 - Jack Reiss separates them.
29:51 Now back at space.
29:53 - There you go.
29:54 - Work out of it. Come on. Let him go, Gore.
30:01 - Inside the splinch.
30:02 - Stop, stop, stop.
30:03 Step away from each other.
30:05 Knocks.
30:09 - Now at the halfway point of round number eight.
30:11 Combination of the body there by Yuritsian.
30:20 - Jab.
30:21 - Jab for himself.
30:22 - Jab.
30:23 - Jab.
30:24 - Jab.
30:25 - Jab.
30:27 - Jab.
30:28 - Jab.
30:29 - Yuritsian's jumping off the man.
30:31 - Body.
30:32 - Right over the head.
30:33 - Yeah.
30:34 - That's it.
30:35 - Hey.
30:36 - Get over here.
30:37 - Get over here.
30:38 - Hey.
30:39 - Hey.
30:40 - Hey.
30:41 - Push him up a little bit.
30:42 - Push him up a little bit.
30:43 - Yuritsian staying on him with that one.
30:44 Finds a left.
30:45 - 3-2.
30:46 - All right, go on.
30:47 - I'm not going to fight that.
30:48 - 1-2.
30:49 - 1-2.
30:50 - 1-3.
30:51 - 1-3.
30:52 - 1-3.
30:53 - 1-3.
30:54 - 1-3.
30:55 - Stop.
30:56 Nobody punch.
30:57 Nobody punch.
30:58 Let him out.
30:59 Let him out.
31:00 - Jack Reese intervenes, separates two men.
31:02 - Keep pushing.
31:03 Keep pushing.
31:04 [applause]
31:05 - Let's go.
31:06 - 2-1-2.
31:07 - Let him go.
31:08 Work out of it.
31:09 Come on.
31:10 Work out.
31:11 Let him go.
31:12 Go with your left arm.
31:13 Let him go with your left arm.
31:14 Stop.
31:15 Stop.
31:16 Stop.
31:17 Stop.
31:18 Stop.
31:19 Stop.
31:20 Let him go when I say let him go.
31:21 [shouting]
31:23 - Be ready.
31:24 Be set.
31:25 That's where it's at.
31:27 That's where it's at.
31:29 [shouting]
31:31 - Final 10 seconds of this eighth round.
31:34 [shouting]
31:36 [shouting]
31:38 - Way to go.
31:39 [shouting]
31:41 - Show him the power.
31:42 [bell dings]
31:43 - Time. Time. Stop. Stop.
31:44 - 8 down, 2 to go.
31:45 - Get the point. Get the point.
31:46 - This, our main event for the victory.
31:48 The vacant WBC Continental Americas
31:51 Welterweight Championship.
31:53 We will go inside the corner of Gort Yuritsy
31:55 and listen to Freddie Roach.
31:57 [music playing]
32:01 - All right.
32:02 Now, you got aggressive in there right last round.
32:06 All right. It's great.
32:07 Put your combination together, OK?
32:09 - Yeah.
32:10 - Let's go.
32:11 All right?
32:12 - Yes.
32:13 - Box him.
32:14 Back him up.
32:15 Change your head movement.
32:16 Let's go.
32:17 - Yeah.
32:18 - Box him up.
32:19 Press him back.
32:20 Get him in the ropes.
32:21 Take him out.
32:22 - Yes.
32:23 - All right. Let your hands go.
32:24 - Let's go, Chris.
32:25 [shouting]
32:26 - In red.
32:27 [shouting]
32:29 - Got to finish this round strong.
32:30 This is the championship round, right?
32:31 Right?
32:32 Two more. Let's go.
32:33 [whistle blows]
32:34 - OK.
32:35 [shouting]
32:37 - I know he's a hall of famer, Freddie Roach,
32:42 [bell dings]
32:43 in the corner of Gort Yuritsy,
32:44 but he's saying the same things
32:46 that Calum Walsh is saying.
32:48 If he reaches more volume, you might as well
32:49 be in the corner right there with Freddie, Calum.
32:51 - I talk to the fella every day.
32:54 All I can say is, great minds think alike.
32:56 [laughter]
32:58 - He's been listening to him for how long now?
33:02 - That's true.
33:03 That's true.
33:04 [shouting]
33:06 - How important is that pressure going to be here, guys,
33:09 in these two final rounds?
33:11 Because Randall's been able to get some of his momentum going,
33:13 but Yuritsy has been able to shut things down
33:15 when he has more volume and output.
33:18 - The last couple of rounds have been competitive.
33:20 Gore has just-- he's had the edge in the exchanges.
33:23 There was a nice right hand that was landed by--
33:25 by Randall a moment ago.
33:27 It's just not enough.
33:29 Randall just-- he needs more of that.
33:31 There's another right hand.
33:36 [shouting]
33:38 - Stop. Nobody punch. Nobody punch. Let him go.
33:42 - Back into the clinch. Jackery separates two.
33:45 - Keep that pace. Go.
33:47 - Some volume there by Randall. All blocks by Yuritsy.
33:52 - Yeah.
33:53 - Take that. Reset it with the jab.
33:55 - You're not spinning up, man.
33:57 - No, no. How we gonna do that?
33:59 - I'll just do--
34:00 [shouting]
34:02 - How we gonna do that?
34:04 - I'll do it now.
34:05 - Keep that right hand coming out.
34:07 - Don't leave it out. Use it as a punch.
34:10 - Down low.
34:11 - Down low.
34:12 - Let's go.
34:13 [shouting]
34:15 - Drop that card out.
34:17 - Drop the card out.
34:19 [shouting]
34:21 - One more. One more.
34:23 [shouting]
34:25 [whispering]
34:27 [shouting]
34:29 [shouting]
34:31 [shouting]
34:33 [shouting]
34:35 - Let's go. Let's go.
34:36 - Approaching the final minute here of the ninth round.
34:39 - Let him go.
34:41 [shouting]
34:43 - I need it quick.
34:45 [shouting]
34:47 [shouting]
34:49 - Come out. Come out.
34:51 - Come forward is Yuritsian.
34:53 [shouting]
34:55 [shouting]
34:57 - That's what he needs to do. He needs to go forward,
34:59 close this, and then let his hands go.
35:01 It's a combination. You can't stay out there
35:03 and just keep getting hit with that jab.
35:05 - In some ways, it does feel like Yuritsian's giving Randall
35:08 too much respect.
35:10 - On the inside, he just needs to let the hands go.
35:12 [shouting]
35:14 [shouting]
35:16 - I pulled him, and he'd done it, and he had success,
35:18 and he went away from it again.
35:20 [shouting]
35:22 [shouting]
35:24 - All right, stop. My break. My break.
35:26 Step away from each other. Clean.
35:28 - Jack Reiss separates the two.
35:30 [shouting]
35:32 [shouting]
35:34 - See that fellow right there, TJ?
35:36 It's actually you that's holding him.
35:38 - You're right. - It's not the other guy.
35:40 - Yep.
35:42 [shouting]
35:44 - And down, one to go.
35:46 [cheers and applause]
35:48 In our main event for the WBC,
35:50 Continental America's Welterweight Championship.
35:53 - Thank you.
35:55 - So as soon as he puts his arm inside,
35:57 and the other guy locks it, then he's just lost that arm.
35:59 - Right. - So instead of locking it,
36:01 as soon as he--wanna clamp down, pull it out,
36:03 and move around a little bit. Get a little bit of distance.
36:05 Get a little bit of situations as you can throw your punches.
36:08 And if he's locking that arm up, turn him, turn him.
36:11 And as soon as you turn him, the other guy's gonna go,
36:13 and he's gonna reset up again,
36:15 because he's just lost his train of thought.
36:18 - Freddie was very to the point about it.
36:20 Callum, you've been to the point about it here.
36:22 Ringside, Gore is not throwing in moments of opportunity.
36:26 Is that because we've seen Randall do anything
36:29 that is frustrating?
36:31 You have seen a Gore that's not stepping on the gas pedal.
36:34 [shouting]
36:36 - Anybody, help me out here, guys.
36:38 - Well, no, he is frustrated on the inside.
36:40 And he's allowing himself to be frustrated.
36:42 And he's allowing himself to be tied up
36:44 instead of moving his hands, as Callum was saying.
36:46 But he's gotta move his hands in a way that--
36:48 not a knockout punch, just to move his hands,
36:50 just to create a situation where he lands a shot
36:52 that he wants to land.
36:54 - And that's why you were saying he's getting his hand tied up,
36:57 but he shouldn't put it in there in the first place.
36:59 You know what I mean? Just punch, get there, see it,
37:01 and just let the hands go.
37:03 [shouting]
37:05 - See, if you're ready, he can keep space.
37:07 See, when he closes the distance there,
37:09 holds on.
37:11 - He should just be letting his hands go.
37:13 Just cover up.
37:15 - He's the one that's putting his hand in there
37:17 and being tied up so he can't use it.
37:19 - He should not put it in there in the first place.
37:21 Just close the distance, keep your hands,
37:23 and just let it go.
37:25 - And especially the left. - Yes.
37:27 - The hook's been a key weapon.
37:29 Winning all the rounds that he's won.
37:31 - And if he happens to do that, then continue to circle.
37:33 Continue to move towards your right side.
37:35 That way, he's gonna release it because he has to readjust.
37:37 If you just stay there, then you're nullifying
37:39 all your advantages.
37:41 - Like right there, he just threw a three-four punch
37:43 combination and landed. He just needs to keep doing that.
37:45 Combinations, combinations.
37:47 Why is he holding right there?
37:49 - Now, if you do that, walk around.
37:51 Walk to the right and make Quinton have to adjust.
37:53 As soon as he adjusts, bam.
37:55 - Walk him to the corner.
37:57 - Yes.
37:59 - Stop, stop. Let his head out.
38:01 - Get the punch inside, Gord. Punch inside.
38:03 [shouting]
38:05 - There you go, Quint.
38:07 - Keep punching, keep punching.
38:09 - Fight out of it, fellas. Punch out.
38:11 - But it's not the one-- - Let's go.
38:13 - It's not the one criticizing it. He's the one doing the work.
38:15 - Right. - But still, this is where you learn
38:17 how to fight guys like this.
38:19 This is not the last guy he's gonna fight
38:21 that's gonna have this kind of style.
38:23 [shouting]
38:25 - Stop. My break. Step out.
38:27 - When he put his hands out, that's when Gorsuch
38:29 has been punching.
38:31 When a fella puts his hands out, I'm punching all day.
38:33 Easy. He's giving it to you. He's opening up his body for you.
38:35 Like right there, right there.
38:37 - He's giving him the opportunity to take it.
38:39 - When a fella puts his hands out, I'm punching.
38:42 - When in doubt, punch.
38:44 - That's it.
38:46 - When not in doubt, punch.
38:48 - When you're in a fight, punch.
38:50 - Good combination, McQuint and Randall there.
38:52 Little left hook and a right hand.
38:54 - You right? Time out. You guys keep that ball.
38:56 It was right on the groin.
38:58 - Jack Reese warning Gory Ritzyan for finding a shot below the belt.
39:00 - Come in.
39:02 - Randall says he's all right, so we continue.
39:04 [shouting]
39:06 - Oh!
39:08 - Action heating up here as we head down the stretch.
39:11 Touch over 30 seconds remain in our main event.
39:14 Gory Ritzyan, quick draw, Quint and Randall.
39:17 WBC Continental America's welterweight title
39:20 hangs in the balance here.
39:22 [shouting]
39:24 [cheering]
39:26 [shouting]
39:28 [cheering]
39:30 [shouting]
39:32 [cheering]
39:34 [shouting]
39:36 [shouting]
39:38 [shouting]
39:40 [shouting]
39:42 [shouting]
39:44 - We will fight to the final bell.
39:46 [bell ringing]
39:48 10 rounds in the book. Gory Ritzyan, Quint and Randall.
39:51 - Hi, dude.
39:53 - Both men hold their hands up high, believing they've done enough
39:56 to capture the WBC Continental America's welterweight championship.
40:00 [shouting]
40:02 [cheering]
40:05 - Doug Fisher, normally I ask you to keep us in tune
40:09 with your arithmetic all night.
40:11 I'm gonna ask to see if you can let us in on this card here.
40:15 - Yeah, pretty one-sided fight.
40:17 I had it nine rounds to one in favor of Gory Ritzyan.
40:21 I wouldn't be shocked if at least one of the official scorecards
40:24 read as shutout for Ritzyan.
40:27 I think Quint and Randall made it competitive
40:31 in the middle rounds, like rounds six, seven, and eight.
40:35 And I thought he did well enough in the ninth
40:37 to just edge the ninth round.
40:39 But Gory was the busier fighter.
40:41 Gory had the right punches.
40:43 - Thanks for the-- so I'm good. Thank you.
40:45 - Probably, like you guys were saying all night,
40:47 probably should have done more work on the inside.
40:49 I thought he could have pressed Randall a little bit more,
40:52 like, walked straight to Randall,
40:54 Randall behind his own jab.
40:56 But for the most part, I thought he outclassed Randall,
40:59 saying something, because Randall is a very good boxer
41:02 who had a very good amateur background.
41:04 - And Abel, you said it, too.
41:06 You're not necessarily criticizing Gore
41:08 for what he's doing or not doing.
41:10 You're just pointing out areas of growth.
41:12 And I think he's where he needs to be.
41:14 He's fighting for a WBC regional title.
41:16 You know, he should be super perfect,
41:18 'cause then maybe he should be fighting for a regional title.
41:21 But we're seeing his evolution continue here.
41:23 - Well, you're not gonna be perfect,
41:25 but just like in Callum's fight back when he got a decision,
41:28 fights are what teaches you what you need to do.
41:30 You go back and watch Tate,
41:32 and you see what you need to do to change.
41:34 In this particular case, Callum is gonna be able
41:36 to go back to the gym and tell Gore
41:38 what he's watching from the outside.
41:40 There's moments in the fight where he could have created situations
41:43 to land three or four shots
41:45 and not allow Quinton to tie him up.
41:47 But that's the experience you have to get climbing the ladder.
41:50 The guys are gonna get better as you get to the top.
41:53 Perfect fight for him.
41:55 Quinton didn't do what I thought he was gonna do early in the fight.
41:58 He's got a lot of techniques on, but good fight for Gore.
42:01 Great win.
42:03 - Callum Walsh, appreciate you stopping by the booth.
42:05 You might be my favorite commentator/corner man of all time.
42:09 - I do it all, man. I do it all.
42:11 And I'm not even getting paid for it either.
42:13 I might go ask Gore for some money after this.
42:15 - Well, there you go. We're gonna see you go cash another check of your own in New York,
42:18 Madison Square Garden, the theater, March 15th,
42:20 as you look to paint New York City green on St. Patrick's Day weekend.
42:23 Callum, can't wait to see you back in the Big Apple.
42:26 - Absolutely, yeah. Thanks very much. Appreciate it.
42:28 - Awesome. King Callum Walsh, kind enough to join us here in our main event.
42:31 All right, one thing left to do. That is crown a champion.
42:34 The judges have tallied their tens and nines.
42:36 We go back inside the ring to Map Arena.
42:40 - Ladies and gentlemen, let's have a hand for these two incredible boxers.
42:48 After ten rounds of action, we go to the judges' scorecards for decision.
42:55 Judge Carla Kai scores the contest 99-91, Gore.
43:00 Judge Lou Moret and Zachary Young both score the contest 190.
43:06 All for your winner by unanimous decision and new WBC
43:13 Continental Americas Welterweight Champion, Gore Yerizian!
43:23 - Well, the Armenian national champion is now a WBC Continental Americas champion.
43:31 As he gets his hand raised tonight here in our main event,
43:34 he will speak with our Doug Fisher, Gore Yerizian, victorious here at Hollywood Fight Night.
43:40 Hollywood Fight Night.
