Transcript
00:00 So Arthur, how long have you been growing your hair for?
00:02 Four years. It's February 2020.
00:04 Four years. And how long have you been wanting to do the World's Greatest Shave?
00:08 I had it suggested to me when I was in grade 7, so 2021.
00:12 So you've been growing your hair just for this, just for today?
00:15 Yeah. February 2020, there was the COVID lockdown, so I didn't want to have my hair cut during that.
00:22 And at the end of lockdown, I decided I like how it was and I wanted to keep it.
00:27 I'm both excited and nervous to go back to short hair, because it's definitely been fun to have long hair for the last four years now,
00:36 but it is getting a bit of a pain to wash with the four hours it takes a week.
00:40 When I wash it, which is once a week, I put about four cups of milk, one shampoo through it,
00:47 then I get out of the shower and my mum washes four cups of conditioner through it,
00:52 then gets all the knots out, and then I go back into the shower.
00:55 Very well maintained. Do you think that you'll do the World's Greatest Shave again?
00:59 Probably not. Or if I do it again, my hair definitely won't be this long.
01:06 Are you nervous?
01:07 Yes, very.
01:08 Have you ever had short hair?
01:10 I've had short hair, but not this short.
01:13 Are you first off the rank, do you know?
01:15 Yeah, I am.
01:16 Wow, so you're going to be setting the example for me today.
01:19 I'm going to be first.
01:21 I feel spiky.
01:25 Do you feel lighter?
01:26 Yes, it feels the same, kind of.
01:29 Okay.
