00:00We're here to flag our financial statement for the month of February,
00:04stating our financial position for the end of that month.
00:08It's that our unrestricted funds has decreased by $7.3 million
00:15and our restricted fund has increased by $10.5 million.
00:19That's a plus, but in the meantime it shows that we have a cash flow problem at the council.
00:27We have been in contact with the Office of Local Government
00:30and we have been in contact with them since our consultation with the SAV back in 2024.
00:35So it's been an ongoing situation with the Office of Local Government.
00:39That means that council has to look at more efficiencies.
00:43The efficiencies that we've done so far relates to about $8 million savings that we've done and occurred.
00:50So we've got to look at more efficiencies.
00:52With that means that we may look at cutting events and other efficiencies by non-essential staff
01:00maybe not being re-put back on.
01:03But look, it's a situation that's unavoidable,
01:07that going to the slow sales of our Windy development up in Dundee which is a highway,
01:15there's negotiations of at least 20-odd lots being negotiated up there at the time being.
01:21It's been a slow process.
01:23We feel that once that comes through we could have an injection of $6 million into our general fund.
