00:00 Organizers of this year's Olympics were busy at work here in the town of Troyes,
00:04 100 kilometers from Paris, as the French capital gears up to host the Games this summer.
00:10 On Friday, the first major rehearsal for the Olympic torch relay took place in the town.
00:15 "It's nice, it puts the spotlight on sport here, which is great."
00:19 "It's great, it's fun. I stopped working for five minutes to watch the flame pass."
00:25 Officers in plain clothes ran alongside torchbearers as authorities tested their security plans.
00:32 "This has been a very important day for Paris 2024. We're less than 50 days away now from
00:38 the arrival of the Olympic flame in Marseille. We need to get into preparation mode, to test
00:43 everything, test the various operations and test the coordination of everyone involved."
00:49 Riot and anti-terror police will be deployed as the torch makes its way through hundreds
00:53 of towns and dozens of tourist attractions.
00:57 After arriving in Marseille from Greece on May 8th, the flame is set to travel 12,000
01:02 kilometers through mainland France and overseas French territories before the start of the
