00:53 I give my snappiest salute to the Philippine Army's officers,
00:59 enlisted personnel, civilian employees,
01:03 as well as our partners and force multipliers in our communities
01:10 for the significant roles you play in the accomplishment of the Army's mission.

01:47 As we march onward to the new Philippines that we aspire for,
01:53 we need to transform our Army into a multi-mission ready,
01:58 cross-domain, and capable force that can effectively thwart
02:04 emerging threats to our country's stability and sovereignty.

02:32 Something that the AFP is now pushing for.
02:35 According to AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Browner,
02:38 the Armed Forces of the Philippines is now focused on strengthening its cyber defense and cyber warfare capabilities.
02:44 We can fight in the cyber domain even with just a laptop.
02:50 Or even with a cell phone, we can fight.
02:54 And we know that Filipinos are good at cyber.
02:59 So we are going to harness that competence, that skill of the Filipinos,
03:06 in order for us to develop a highly competent and capable cyber warrior.
03:13 The AFP has also been able to recruit additional personnel who are skilled in the cyber domain.
03:19 They don't need to be very good, because we will train them also in cyber defense,
03:26 both passive and active defense.
03:29 The Philippine Army has increased its assets to their 127th anniversary today,
03:35 including artillery assets, armored trucks, helicopters, and others.
03:40 The soldiers' capabilities include mass jump and military free fall.
03:45 They are also good at using the ARNIS, which according to the AFP, will be taught in the Navy and Air Force.
