00:00:00 This year, not only do we play an underseated BYU in the second round, #16 Ken Palm.
00:00:05 Oh no.
00:00:10 On today's Part of My Take, we have our good friend Mark Titus on to break down the entire bracket.

00:00:37 Also, I finished the Patriots documentary. I don't know if you guys did.
00:00:40 I did.
00:00:41 Maybe do some cherry on top because holy shit, did they really take down Belichick.
00:00:45 Yeah, the last two episodes were, they were some abomination.
00:00:49 Yeah, so we'll talk about all of that and some more tournament thoughts before we do all of that.

00:02:31 There's a lot in South Carolina.
00:02:32 Yeah. A lot in South Carolina. I didn't want to leave anyone out.
00:02:35 Shout out North Carolina. Maybe the most underrated state.
00:02:38 Wait, where is-

00:03:33 Welcome to part of my take presented by DraftKings Sportsbook.
00:03:37 New customers can bet five bucks to get $150 instantly in bonus bets only at DraftKings Sportsbook with code "TAKE".
00:03:43 Today is Wednesday, March 20th, and we are just 24 hours away from the best two days of the year.
00:03:54 Boys, I don't know if you guys feel the same way, but Monday night, I crawled into bed, and my body was craving college basketball.
00:04:02 I had been all of Conference Championship Week. I've been watching all this basketball, and then they just shut it off.
00:04:09 I was like, "Give me college basketball. I need more college basketball."
00:04:13 Big news today also, the start of spring.
00:04:16 Yeah. We made it. Shout out that groundhog.
00:04:18 Wait, is it? Yeah, that little motherfucker was right.
00:04:20 I thought it was the 21st. 20th.
00:04:22 Oh, shit. 20th, first day of spring. Hank was right.
00:04:25 The calendar's so stupid. We're done with winter.
00:04:27 The calendar's so stupid. The start of spring is St. Patrick's Day.
00:04:31 There should be sports that go along with the changing of the season.
00:04:35 St. Patrick's Day is the start of spring. The start of summer is Kentucky Derby Day.
00:04:39 The start of fall is Week Zero college football. The start of winter is Halloween.
00:04:46 Christmas. Oh. No, Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving should be the start of the season.
00:04:50 No, I like to pretend that winter doesn't-- you shorten winter. Winter's just Christmas. It's the St. Patrick's Day.
00:04:55 You're like, "Ah, it's two months."
00:04:56 But when you have the score bugs on TV and it's the cornucopia and all that stuff, that is a little bit of both autumn and winter.
00:05:03 We made it to spring. Spring has sprung.
00:05:05 Good job, boys.
00:05:06 How are you guys feeling when we're 24 hours out from the best two days of the year?
00:05:10 I'm feeling good because-- Do you agree that it's the best two days of the year?
00:05:13 Best two sports days of the year, yes. I would agree Thursday, Friday of the NCAA tournament
00:05:19 because it's just all you think about the entire time.
00:05:21 You wake up, you start making your preparations, you take one last look at your bracket,
00:05:26 you go, you sit down on a couch, and you don't move for basically 48 hours.
00:05:31 Yeah, and I know that there will always be a random day, weekend in the fall,
00:05:37 where you have an insane NFL slate and an insane college football slate, but you can't depend on that.
00:05:43 That's year to year, if all the stars align, this is just it.
00:05:49 I think underrated, the second best is the two weeks of the first round of NBA and NHL playoffs
00:05:56 where every night there's a game that matters.
00:05:59 Okay, I agree with that.
00:06:00 But if it's the first two rounds of the NBA playoffs, there's a lot of blowouts.
00:06:04 Yeah. A lot of blowouts.
00:06:05 But you have NHL.
00:06:06 You do have NHL as well.
00:06:07 You have NHL. We spend a lot of time talking about how the Monday after the Super Bowl should be a national holiday.
00:06:12 Thursday and Friday should have Thanksgiving rules.
00:06:14 Absolutely.
00:06:15 People pretend to work on Thursday and Friday, which actually, you know what?
00:06:19 I'm talking myself out of it.
00:06:20 I think the holiday of this Thursday and Friday is that you get paid for going to work, but you just don't work.
00:06:26 Yeah, you don't work.
00:06:27 It's an unspoken holiday.
00:06:28 Shout out the boss button.
00:06:29 Remember when they mailed the boss button in 2006 or something or 2007, and they're just like,
00:06:34 "Yeah, you can click on it, and it has Excel pop up."
00:06:37 Yeah, I hit that one time.
00:06:38 I think it was my professor was like, "Why are you looking at a spreadsheet?
00:06:41 This is an English lit class."
00:06:43 Yeah, in my first job, I remember, they're just like, "You don't use Excel."
00:06:47 Yeah, what's Excel?
00:06:48 You don't know how to use Excel.
00:06:49 Maybe you didn't read my resume.
00:06:50 I said I was proficient.
00:06:51 Yeah.
00:06:52 Me being proficient in Excel is knowing the website for the boss button.
00:06:55 Shout out 99% of the world who has put proficient in Microsoft Excel on their resume.
00:07:00 That's just a must have.
00:07:02 That doesn't mean shit.
00:07:04 Have you ever seen the Excel Olympics?
00:07:06 Yeah, they're sick.
00:07:07 People are-- they're basically like musicians.
00:07:09 No keyboard.
00:07:10 Yeah.
00:07:11 They just use a mouse.
00:07:12 No mouse.
00:07:13 No mouse.
00:07:14 Just keyboard.
00:07:15 They're like piano players with the speed that they go.
00:07:16 Yeah.
00:07:17 Oh, I actually saw it.
00:07:18 Oh, man.
00:07:19 Since we're down this rabbit hole, fuck, I got to try to find it.
00:07:22 It was a Monday reading that I saw that was probably the most diabolical thing I've ever seen.
00:07:27 Someone fill in while I find it.
00:07:29 Oh, okay, got it.
00:07:30 Someone in IT trolled me for over a decade.
00:07:33 Have I any recourse?
00:07:35 I work in a medium-sized firm.
00:07:36 Between 2014 and January 2024, I found myself constantly making mistakes while working.
00:07:42 Some examples are my calculations on Microsoft Excel being wrong, data inputs on spreadsheets being wrong,
00:07:49 booking the wrong days of my annual leave by accident.
00:07:52 I booked the 1st through the 10th October but suddenly found I had booked 3rd to 13th October, impacting the business negatively.
00:07:58 Typos in documents that I had sent, counts was cunts.
00:08:02 I felt like I was going crazy so I would do things like screenshot what I had calculated but found my screenshots had disappeared when I logged in the next day.
00:08:09 So I was wondering if I ever took them in my first place.
00:08:12 In February 2024, our IT guy, we'll call him Bob, left us after facing a disciplinary and we hired another one.
00:08:20 The new IT guy, over the next 2 weeks, approached me and showed me a series of records.
00:08:25 Bob had been accessing my system, editing my work, and changing the information I had put into my annual leave sheet, among other things.
00:08:34 The man has been sabotaging my work life for a decade.
00:08:37 The consequences I have faced are, I don't mean to laugh but it's funny,
00:08:41 I was not allowed to work from home like my colleagues due to my apparent unreliability.
00:08:45 This resulted in $250 in transfer costs every month.
00:08:48 I've been overlooked for promotion.
00:08:50 I've had my professional life and credibility massively damaged.
00:08:53 I had to undergo assessments for ADHD and early onset Alzheimer's and other cognitive tests.
00:08:58 With the NHS, I was put on a performative improvement plan.
00:09:02 Shout out memes, Pip.
00:09:05 The old IT guy has moved out of the UK but is there anything I can do?
00:09:09 I spoke with HR and they issued an apology and allowed me to work from home again and remove my pay.
00:09:13 How crazy is that?
00:09:14 Alright, so my take is, I would hire Bob in a heartbeat.
00:09:17 Holy!
00:09:18 To me, Bob sounds like a guy that he gets shit done, he's vengeful.
00:09:22 I actually, I look at this as a negative on the dude that wrote this post.
00:09:26 How many years?
00:09:27 Ten.
00:09:28 Ten years and all your shit's getting fucked with all the time and you couldn't figure it out?
00:09:31 Like Bob, I would like to have Bob at my company to see how dumb people are.
00:09:35 Is this like a Fight Club situation?
00:09:36 I mean it's crazy, it's like a evil, if Jim Halbert was like the most evil person ever
00:09:41 and he did all his pranks to Dwight, it ruined his life.
00:09:43 I was thinking the same thing, Hank. It could be like me, myself and Irene.
00:09:46 This guy's got split personalities.
00:09:48 Spoiler, if you haven't seen the end of me, myself and Irene or Fight Club.
00:09:52 But it might be this dude.
00:09:53 What's in the box?
00:09:54 He might go home, it was his wife's head, he might go home and then he just fucks with himself
00:10:00 when he thinks that he's asleep.
00:10:02 He might be schizophrenic.
00:10:03 That was crazy. I saw that and I immediately screenshotted it, so that's an extra bonus Monday reading.
00:10:09 But don't you almost respect Bob?
00:10:10 Oh yeah, what an absolute savage that guy is.
00:10:14 I would hire Bob just to make sure that Bob was under my control.
00:10:17 Yeah, he moved out of the country. He's like, "I gotta get the fuck out of here."
00:10:20 Yeah, because otherwise every job that I go to, it's going to be like, "I hope Bob's not working here."
00:10:24 It might be Kim.com in the Philippines somewhere.
00:10:26 Oh yeah, that guy.
00:10:28 Oh yeah, but Excel, no one knows how to use it and everyone says they can use it.
00:10:33 Yeah, Excel, that's a program that will one day end up replacing human brains.
00:10:37 Yes. Alright, so any other thoughts about the tournament before we continue with the show?
00:10:43 I'm just so excited.
00:10:44 NIT, big NIT, number one. We'll do a poll tomorrow.
00:10:48 Should Max livestream Villanova's bid to win an NIT championship?
00:10:52 This is Max's Super Bowl.
00:10:54 It's like second half on Instagram.
00:10:55 Yeah, just give it to us.
00:10:58 If it's within 10 points in the fourth quarter, you should have to go live.
00:11:01 On Instagram.
00:11:03 On the part of my take Instagram.
00:11:05 Fine, deal.
00:11:06 The NIT did quarters at some point. I don't know if they still do.
00:11:08 Oh yeah, I don't think they do anymore.
00:11:09 You can also join.
00:11:11 Oh yeah, we can join. We can laugh at you.
00:11:13 Yeah.
00:11:14 Max is ready to go for the NIT.
00:11:16 I just filled out my NIT bracket. Shout out NIT Stu.
00:11:19 I've got Ohio State beating Villanova in the finals.
00:11:22 Wow, would that be incredible?
00:11:24 It would be so funny.
00:11:25 We should talk quickly about Anthony Edwards ending a life last night.
00:11:28 Yeah, that was, that was, embrace debate. Was that a dunk?
00:11:32 So, all those dunks always like, yeah, when you, when you like zoom in, you're like, did the ball leave his hand beforehand?
00:11:40 Didn't touch the rim. Or did he follow through on the rim?
00:11:43 Holy shit. Some of those screenshots you see had, he, he made John Collins smell his fingers before he dunked.
00:11:49 He dislocated his finger.
00:11:50 Yeah, he dislocated his finger on the dunk and then stayed in the game afterwards.
00:11:53 I'm counting it as a dunk just because I like cool sports moments like that where like the world stopped to be like, did you see what Anthony Edwards just did?
00:11:59 Yeah, it was pretty incredible. And he's had like six dunks like that over the course of his career where people have stopped and legitimately asked the question like, is this the best dunk of all time?
00:12:07 Yeah.
00:12:08 So he's, he's fucking awesome. The only problem with that dunk was it was kind of overshadowed by Austin Reeves getting dunked on last night.
00:12:15 Oh no, I didn't see that.
00:12:16 Because, oh, you got, Big Cat, I want to get your live reaction to it. There was a teabagging.
00:12:20 Oh no.
00:12:21 There was a teabagging. And they asked Austin Reeves after the game what it was like from his vantage point. He's like, nobody wants to see that from my vantage point.
00:12:28 No one wants to see that. We also should mention, wait, hold on. Jalen Johnson on Austin Reeves.
00:12:35 Oh no.
00:12:37 It was Johnson.
00:12:38 The fallback is the problem.
00:12:40 It was literally Johnson on Reeves.
00:12:42 I would, I would, if I were Austin Reeves, I'd try to headbutt his dick.
00:12:46 Bite it off.
00:12:47 Yeah, there's only one move. Just, I would never get dunked on like this. I just want to say that right now.
00:12:51 No.
00:12:52 Because I would foul way before that.
00:12:54 Well, I also, I have pride in my rim protection.
00:12:56 Yeah. I would just tackle him.
00:12:57 Macy Buckets.
00:12:58 Tackle him before that. Oh man.
00:13:00 Yeah.
00:13:01 It looked like he actually was hitting a hurdle. Holy fuck. That's bad.
00:13:05 Yeah.
00:13:06 Vicious stuff. We also, while we're talking to NBA, we missed it because we were, we were deep into college basketball, but Kyrie's game winner was one of the coolest shots ever.
00:13:15 It was crazy. The left-handed flow. It was such a-
00:13:17 Over Jokic.
00:13:18 It was such a cool shot that you had guys from around the league in their next practice trying to recreate that shot to see if they could make it.
00:13:23 They had guys on the Mavs, like, I don't know who was on the baseline, like put their hands on their heads and like collapsed.
00:13:28 Yeah.
00:13:29 That was fucking awesome.
00:13:30 Yeah, it was wild.
00:13:31 But it is college basketball time. We respect the sports calendar. I had one thing that we also missed on Sunday, which we should probably talk about.
00:13:40 Aaron Donald?
00:13:41 Yeah. Aaron Donald retired.
00:13:42 Yeah, hand up.
00:13:43 Yeah, that's our fault. Maybe Aaron, Aaron Donald, you could have the case, the perfect career?
00:13:50 If he had won two Super Bowls.
00:13:52 So if he had won the other one, but that wasn't a defensive issue. That was, you know, the Rams defense came to play in that game. They gave up 13 points to the Patriots.
00:14:00 But Aaron Donald played 10 years in the NFL. He was a pro bowler all 10 years. He won rookie of the year. He won three-time defensive player of the year.
00:14:11 And he was an eight-time first team all pro selection. And he had a Super Bowl ring. And he had some crazy ass stats like for the last six years, Aaron Donald faced 1797 double teams, 150 more than anyone else in the defensive field.
00:14:32 Yet he still led all defensive tackles and pass rush win rate during that span at 26%.
00:14:39 He also was responsible, like highest of highs, most viral best interview on this podcast ever, as well as one of the worst.
00:14:47 Yeah, that's right.
00:14:48 Oh yeah.
00:14:49 There's probably him and John Cena in terms of like really good interviews while also having really bad interviews.
00:14:54 And then remember he got, he was on that other podcast where they asked him just football questions and he kept being like, I'm just here to talk about Epson salts.
00:15:01 Yeah.
00:15:02 Like I want to talk about this Epson salt.
00:15:03 That was on this show?
00:15:04 That was when we interviewed him at the Super Bowl in Miami and it was incredible. Meme's whole career was based on that interview with me, calling him a pussy.
00:15:12 Yeah.
00:15:13 Yeah. All time clip. And then he came on to, was he promoting a sports drink? And he insisted on his partner coming on as well, who might've played basketball at Pitt, but we didn't have any questions for him.
00:15:25 And we did like 10 minutes and then he wanted to go.
00:15:28 Yeah.
00:15:29 And he gave it all. He really was everything. But I actually think that Aaron Donald is close to a perfect career as you could possibly have minus the Super Bowl loss.
00:15:36 But he literally was a pro bowler every single year and eight out of his 10 years, he was an all pro first team.
00:15:42 And he trained with knives. That's also an all time clip is watching him just work out in the off season. There's a guy trying to stab him.
00:15:48 And he also, he's just like, no.
00:15:49 And he also was just like the fact that he was quote unquote undersized at his position, but still so goddamn dominant.
00:15:58 Yeah.
00:15:59 Cause like, you know, a lot of defensive tackles are, you know, you think of like the Lodi Nadas or the, uh, you know, Vince Wilford, but he just, he had a fucking six pack and he would just dominate everyone all the time.
00:16:11 One thing I, uh, I don't like is the new trend of really good players retiring and then instantly the official hall of fame, social media accounts being like, we'll see you in four years or whatever.
00:16:21 But leave some suspense up there.
00:16:23 Yeah.
00:16:24 Like, yeah, he's going to be a hall of famer. He's one of the best football players of all time. Give it, give it some time. Give it some time. Don't annoy him just yet.
00:16:30 Yeah.
00:16:31 I like the official accounts to stay out of that.
00:16:32 Yeah.
00:16:33 The official accounts should be above all the speculation.
00:16:35 Yeah. I agree.
00:16:36 It's final when it's final for them.
00:16:38 I agree.
00:16:39 But yeah, Aaron Donald, I think probably, probably the best defensive player I've ever seen play.
00:16:45 Yeah. He's the most dominant, uh, in this era. I know JJ Watt was, I mean, JJ Watt was, his peak was very, very dominant, but remind, remind, reminder that Aaron Donald did it from the defensive tackle position.
00:16:56 Yeah.
00:16:57 Which is just, it's, that's not, your, your job isn't always to get after the quarterback and he just always did.
00:17:03 He also had the perfect time of year to retire. Quit your job before March Madness.
00:17:07 Yeah. I wish he had done it on not Sunday of conference championship. So we would have talked about it on Sunday. That was our fuck up.
00:17:13 Yeah. Imagine though, imagine, imagine retiring one year and you're like, oh shit, what am I going to do now that I'm retired?
00:17:18 Yeah.
00:17:19 Oh wait, yeah. I have an entire month of college basketball to watch.
00:17:21 Pitch and make it though.
00:17:22 Yeah. That's tough.
00:17:23 Uh, also RG three got ratioed to hell.
00:17:25 Yeah.
00:17:26 Good boy.
00:17:27 RG three loves, loves the take game.
00:17:29 Man, he was so off. He basically was like, Kale Williams should not go to Chicago and, uh, basically had no stats, facts behind it.
00:17:36 I agree. I agree with him. I think he made some good points and then he should demand a trade to a successful well run franchise historically like the Washington commanders.
00:17:44 And I, I quoted it and just stated simple facts and he then quickly did the Kermit the frog, all big cat in his fields. Everyone was like, dude, he got ratioed again.
00:17:53 It was like thousands of quote tweets on his original tweet.
00:17:56 Yeah. RG three likes to, he likes to dip his toes in the game.
00:17:59 I like him, but he, man, he has some bad fucking takes. That was a bad take. Real bad.
00:18:04 I think he's right.
00:18:05 I had time for it on Monday. I went to war with, uh, the, the fallout of the Caleb Williams, Justin Fields. There's still some people there was actually, I don't know if it was a troll or not, but there was one person who did tweet out a petition for the bears to bring back Justin Fields.
00:18:18 No, that's what we were talking about. Remember like if, if Caleb Williams gets dinged up this year.
00:18:22 Yeah.
00:18:23 Just, I want to sprinkle it out there for bears fans to just have in the back of their head. Like why not bring back just, yeah.
00:18:28 I was, I was looking at stats. I was doing everything cause people were, you know, arguing about, there's not enough quarterbacks that have won super bowls on rookie contracts to actually be like, this is the way.
00:18:39 And I went and looked it up. It's essentially if you have Mahomes or Brady, you win a super bowl.
00:18:44 Yeah. And it's also that if you have a cheap quarterback, you would rather have a cheap quarterback than an expensive quarterback. Am I right?
00:18:50 It gives you your best chance. So I'm pulling it up. I had a, I went through the whole thing. Like I said, I had time for it on Monday cause I was just waiting for college basketball to start.
00:18:59 But starting this past year, Brock Purdy was in the super bowl on a cheap, cheap contract. The year before Jalen Hurts was on a cheap, cheap contract. Burrow was on a cheap contract in 21.
00:19:12 Mahomes in 20 Mahomes won it in 19 on a cheap contract golf in 18 foals. Uh, because remember Carson Wentz was still on his rookie contract. Foles won it. Uh, not paying a lot.
00:19:23 Cam in 15 Russ in 14 Russ won it in 12 and Flacco went against Kat Kaepernick who both were on cheap contracts. Uh, and he won it. Flacco won it in 12.
00:19:34 So basically every year someone from the super bowl is, is going to be a cheap quarterback and the other one's going to be Mahomes or Brady and they're going to win.
00:19:41 Yeah. You'd rather have a quarterback that's not getting paid a lot of money so you can pay a lot of money to other good players. Yes.
00:19:46 If you, if you disagree with that premise, I don't think we're even speaking the same language.
00:19:50 The argument boils down to if you, if you want to say, uh, having a cheap quarterback will just get you a loss in the super bowl to Mahomes or Brady.
00:19:57 That's fine. Fine. Oh, I would suck. I would suck a dick. Take it. I'd take it in a second.
00:20:01 It's a, it's quarterback Photoshop season two. So Shane came up to me earlier today and said that he's working on Photoshop for the draft. Um, and so I was like, just give me all the quarterback Photoshop. Just, just make me a Caleb Williams one just so I can look at it.
00:20:14 Yeah. Caleb Williams DC one. I just want to have that on deck. Just, I looked at it and it looks pretty good.
00:20:19 That's mine. I agree with RG three. That's mine. Uh, Hank, while we're talking about Brady and Mahomes, the Patriots dynasty documentary has concluded.
00:20:29 Uh, wow. Was that a hit piece on bill Belichick? Yeah. Holy shit. I'll say this. Um, it was very clearly pointed and it was meant to make Robert Kraft look like the, uh, the benevolent father who kept it all together.
00:20:44 All together. Tommy constantly, which is very creepy every time he says it. And then it made Belichick look like he was like abusive. They made him look like he was abusive and negligent. And the only thing that, that I would say to bill would be, he didn't do a very good job of acquitting himself in those interviews.
00:21:04 Like when they asked him the tough questions, he would just be like, I don't want to talk about that right now. Which made him look worse than I think the actual situation was. But bill Belichick's not like an open book. He didn't want to be doing the documentary. If he had just been like a little bit more gregarious, if he had explained like one or two things more in depth rather than just sitting there and we don't know what they cut out, right.
00:21:23 We don't know what they cut out. Right. But from what they used, he just seemed like he would rather be anywhere else than answering those questions, which ended up making him look worse. But I love, I love those, some of those answers when they asked him, what did you think about Tom Brady's performance in the Superbowl against the Eagles? And he's like, well, they're often scored more than, than us. So, uh, give credit to their coaches.
00:21:44 Yeah. So the, the Malcolm Butler thing was, it still is weird to this day. So weird. So weird. But they also, you know, they set that season up to make it seem like all the players hated there, you know, they didn't want to be there. All those players came back. They made it to the Superbowl that year, almost won. They won a Superbowl the next year. And then they did give Belichick credit for that Superbowl against the Rams. But then they also made it seem like, well, because you know, bill did good. I had to, I told Tommy, Tommy knew like I had to sign Belichick. Like it almost made him seem like he was mad about the fact that they had won a Superbowl.
00:22:13 They had won a Superbowl.
00:22:14 And then that he was like, well, you know, that kind of decided the fate. Like we had to go with, with bill.
00:22:18 Right. It made it seem like they were going to fire Belichick if he lost that Superbowl, which I don't think was ever going to happen.
00:22:23 Right.
00:22:24 My, it was, it was weird watching it because it, it almost, it made me, you know, they slanted it from crafts POV, but they didn't have any, you know, being a Patriots fan for those 20 years, rooting for Belichick, rooting for Brady, rooting for all the players was the greatest time of all time.
00:22:40 Like being a Patriots fan was amazing.
00:22:42 And they didn't really, it didn't feel like that.
00:22:44 They made it feel like you were, you shouldn't, you should be sad for being a Patriots fan and like, oh, you were a fan of this guy.
00:22:49 Like, how dare you?
00:22:51 So that, that part made me sad where it was like, this was the greatest run of all time and, and they're not making it feel like that.
00:22:58 Yeah. The weird part to me is like, I've, I've been consistent when everyone's like Brady or Belichick, it's like, well, the player is obviously the most important thing.
00:23:07 Like when we talked to Diana Rossini and she was like the Patriot way, I was like, the Patriot way is having Tom Brady, just like the chiefs way is having Patrick Holmes.
00:23:14 If you have the best quarterback in the game, it doesn't really matter.
00:23:19 Like everything else kind of works, but to like, so, so I don't think most people don't say like, oh, it's Belichick over Brady.
00:23:27 They're like, yeah, the player he's the, he's the greatest quarterback.
00:23:30 Like that's, that's the guy.
00:23:32 So to then go even further to bury Belichick seemed just so unnecessary.
00:23:37 And he was also, you know, slightly bearing his own organization with the trainer stuff being like, oh, you know, it was crazy.
00:23:44 They kicked out square out when he was, you know, directly going against what the Patriots team trainers were saying, which I don't know if those are Belichick guys or crass guys or whatever, but that, that whole thing was strange.
00:23:54 It was, it was a sad watch.
00:23:56 Also from Belichick's point of view, your star player has his own personal trainer.
00:24:00 Who's also working with other people on the team.
00:24:03 That same personal trainer has also been accused of being a fraud in the past that misdiagnosed cancer and like said, or not misdiagnosed said that he had like cures for cancer and diseases like that, that he obviously did not have.
00:24:15 That's probably a liability in your head.
00:24:17 Like, oh, there's this outside guy that's working with my best players.
00:24:20 Trying to grow a business.
00:24:21 Trying to grow a business.
00:24:22 So conflict of interest probably right on the inside.
00:24:25 So yeah, I don't, it's not as cut and dry as they made it seem in that documentary.
00:24:29 But when they talked about the Malcolm Butler stuff.
00:24:31 Yeah.
00:24:32 Hank, how many people on planet earth do you think know the true exact story of what happened and how Belichick reacted to it and decided to bench Malcolm Butler?
00:24:42 Maybe three, four.
00:24:45 Yeah.
00:24:47 How much money would you pay to know that?
00:24:48 To know exact, like to, to have your own personal documentary made about how it went down and have all the footage.
00:24:54 I don't know.
00:24:55 I don't, I don't really want to know.
00:24:56 I don't think.
00:24:57 Here's the one thing that doesn't make sense to me about the Malcolm Butler thing.
00:25:01 Malcolm Butler has never said what he did.
00:25:05 Right?
00:25:06 Right.
00:25:07 So it has to be something that people be like, whoa.
00:25:10 You know what I mean?
00:25:11 Like Malcolm Butler's in a good spot right now because everyone's like, we don't know why he got benched.
00:25:15 Belichick will never say it.
00:25:16 Malcolm Butler will never say it.
00:25:17 So your mind can just be like Belichick fucked up.
00:25:20 But doesn't it feel like if you got benched in that position and you literally did nothing, wouldn't you just be like, I don't like, here's everything I did and there's nothing here.
00:25:30 I just don't know.
00:25:31 It makes no sense to me.
00:25:32 Yeah.
00:25:33 I mean, obviously it was a very, very, very personal situation.
00:25:35 Right.
00:25:36 So it doesn't feel like if Malcolm Butler said it, if Malcolm Butler probably knows deep down what happened and if he said it, people would be like, oh, well, dude.
00:25:46 Yeah.
00:25:47 You shouldn't have done that.
00:25:48 So now we need to ask, like, is Bill Belichick the good guy in this situation?
00:25:51 I don't know.
00:25:52 For never saying what it is.
00:25:53 That always confused me about it because it's like Malcolm Butler, as far as I know, has never said like, I think it might be this.
00:26:01 You know what I mean?
00:26:02 No, he was acting oblivious in the documentary.
00:26:04 Right.
00:26:05 To get disciplined by the Patriots, if you're a star player, you have to do something really fucked up.
00:26:09 Right.
00:26:11 Really fucked up.
00:26:12 Yeah.
00:26:13 It was weird.
00:26:14 And also the Trump, you know, they pin the Trump thing on Belichick.
00:26:16 But it's like it was Brady, Kraft, Belichick.
00:26:18 It was all three of them were Trump guys.
00:26:20 But they started the episode with like reading the letter from Belichick.
00:26:23 And then that slanted the whole thing.
00:26:25 I thought it was a good documentary in the fact that they did.
00:26:27 No.
00:26:28 Okay.
00:26:29 I thought it was a good documentary in the fact that the things that people are interested outside of like you is those stories.
00:26:37 But they just it was so slanted to bad stories instead of like a couple good stories.
00:26:41 Like, that's what people want to watch.
00:26:43 People don't want to watch a documentary that's just like they won six Super Bowls.
00:26:47 I know you do.
00:26:49 It could have been like a 15-part series, just only football porn for Hank Lockwood.
00:26:55 Yeah.
00:26:56 Yeah.
00:26:57 I mean, I guess the only thing comparable would be The Last Dance.
00:26:59 But The Last Dance was through Michael Jordan's lens.
00:27:01 And it was anti-ownership.
00:27:02 And this was through the owner's lens.
00:27:04 And it was almost anti-Belichick.
00:27:06 Yeah.
00:27:07 Now, there's another piece of this that I wanted to bring up in high school.
00:27:09 Also, Brady.
00:27:10 Like, that was tough where Brady was like, "Yeah, there's things I don't want to talk about."
00:27:12 Yeah, and then Kraft just said it.
00:27:14 Yeah, like Giselle said, "You're not making my husband a man.
00:27:17 You're not making him like a man."
00:27:18 "They don't treat Tommy like a man."
00:27:19 That's tough.
00:27:20 That was so weird.
00:27:21 Yeah, that was very weird.
00:27:22 We can say, Max.
00:27:23 Was Brady a part of like the edit?
00:27:25 Because there's a part that I want to talk about.
00:27:27 Are you and I about to talk about the same thing?
00:27:29 We're on the same page here because I've got to cued up, Max.
00:27:32 Yeah.
00:27:33 So, my cool throne was going to be Tom Brady's pettiness.
00:27:36 Because a Twitter user, Todd Orendenker, discovered that they edited something out during this documentary that's very weird that it was edited out.
00:27:46 They showed the highlights of the Super Bowl where the Eagles won.
00:27:49 And on the Philly special, they played an edited version of Al Michaels' play call.
00:27:55 And so, I want you to listen to these two play calls.
00:27:58 One is, the first is the actual game call.
00:28:01 And then the second is as it appears in the Dynasty documentary.
00:28:05 They edited out the word "Foals."
00:28:08 What?
00:28:09 And we've seen clips of Tom Brady like not liking it when people bring up Nick Foals.
00:28:13 Was it Mannings that like brought up Nick Foals' name?
00:28:16 He fucking hates Nick Foals.
00:28:18 What?
00:28:19 And he had his name edited out of this documentary.
00:28:21 That's wild.
00:28:22 That is wild.
00:28:24 Yeah, I mean I'm not going to defend the filmmakers of this.
00:28:26 Wow.
00:28:28 It seems like that would be a Tom Brady specific.
00:28:30 I don't think that there's a filmmaker that's like, "You know what? I'm going to edit out Foals."
00:28:34 Well, for time, you know.
00:28:36 You've got to save time.
00:28:37 It may have been like a quarter of a second.
00:28:39 You know, Hank makes a good point.
00:28:41 Also, for time, I think the time of each episode varies between like 37 minutes and like one hour and six minutes.
00:28:48 Yeah.
00:28:49 I think they can do as much time as they want.
00:28:51 No, you're right.
00:28:52 Probably edit it out for time.
00:28:53 A ten-part series, they cut for time.
00:28:55 One word.
00:28:56 Yeah.
00:28:57 I like that.
00:28:58 I respect that level of pettiness.
00:29:00 That's awesome.
00:29:01 Max, does it make you feel good, though?
00:29:03 No, I love that.
00:29:04 I mean, the Eagles are so far in Tom Brady's head, and Nick Foals will always be there.
00:29:08 They also discredited the whole, like that Super Bowl had nothing to do with the Eagles winning.
00:29:11 It was just Malcolm Butler.
00:29:12 Yeah.
00:29:13 Yeah, if Malcolm Butler plays that, you don't have a Super Bowl ring, Max.
00:29:16 Nah, I don't care.
00:29:17 I didn't watch it.
00:29:18 I won't watch anything about the Patriots' dynasty.
00:29:20 Yeah, that is so funny just thinking like Tom Brady watched all ten parts and was like, "Only one note. Foals."
00:29:27 Remove the word "Foals," please.
00:29:29 But if you broke down the ten episodes into things that were not positive versus dynasty sections, it's like 75/25.
00:29:38 Yeah, it shouldn't be called-- it wasn't about the dynasty.
00:29:41 I just feel bad for Belichick because he's the best coach of all time, and he just got butchered.
00:29:46 Absolutely butchered.
00:29:47 I do think, though, I like the NFL films backed out when they kind of realized what was going on,
00:29:52 and I feel like that's going to invigorate them and Belichick to come out with their own version, which will be--
00:29:56 That would be awesome.
00:29:57 Die nasty.
00:29:58 Yeah.
00:29:59 Ooh, I like that.
00:30:00 Come back at it.
00:30:01 I like it.
00:30:02 The demeanor that Belichick had the entire time he was being interviewed was that of a man that knew it was a setup.
00:30:08 Oh, we have breaking news.
00:30:10 Breaking news.
00:30:12 Former Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams is signing with the Jets.
00:30:15 Oh, congrats.
00:30:16 Memes.
00:30:17 We're back.
00:30:18 We're back.
00:30:19 Shout out, MYJ.
00:30:20 Matt, he sent Mike Williams a bacon, egg, and ham to the facility.
00:30:27 It got to him.
00:30:28 That sealed the deal.
00:30:29 Oh.
00:30:30 I like that.
00:30:31 Good job, MYJ.
00:30:32 Matt.
00:30:33 Why didn't you do that?
00:30:34 Is it because you're on the pip?
00:30:35 Stop saying that.
00:30:36 No, I think his name is just Pip.
00:30:39 He's just going to be talking to me about this for the rest of the night.
00:30:43 I love you, memes.
00:30:44 I'm not going to let that take away from this news.
00:30:45 This is awesome.
00:30:46 Yes, congrats.
00:30:47 And Marvin Harrison, possible.
00:30:48 Marvin Harrison.
00:30:49 No, Dana Jeremiah dropped a mock draft and had the Jets draft him.
00:30:53 Marvin Harrison.
00:30:54 And what number?
00:30:55 Four, training up.
00:30:56 Oh, okay.
00:30:57 Training up.
00:30:58 I love mock drafts with trades in them.
00:31:00 Yeah, they're the best.
00:31:01 Just anything can happen.
00:31:02 They're trying to sprinkle around.
00:31:03 They're trying to get clicks so they're like, each fan base can have something to look forward
00:31:06 to if there's a trade.
00:31:07 I can't wait for draft season.
00:31:08 The Vikings are up to something.
00:31:10 Yeah.
00:31:11 The Ryan Windhorst meme, up to something.
00:31:13 They're JJ.
00:31:14 They're the favorites to draft JJ.
00:31:15 I know, which would be the perfect quarterback for the Vikings.
00:31:18 Yeah.
00:31:19 Where he will be discussed endlessly.
00:31:21 Justin Jefferson's not going to be happy with that.
00:31:24 Yeah.
00:31:25 Okay, let's do Hot Seat Cool Throne, and then we'll get to Mark Titus, talk brackets.
00:31:30 Hot Seat Cool Throne is presented by Coors Light.

00:31:45 That's choosing chill.
00:31:46 And when you choose chill, reach for a Coors Light.

00:32:11 That's nice.
00:32:12 That's incredible.
00:32:13 All right, so open up one and two for us, PFT.
00:32:14 On the Chill-Alender.
00:32:15 On the Choose Chill Calendar.
00:32:18 Don't let your bracket break you.
00:32:19 I had to beat Hank's ass, because he tried to open up the first day early.
00:32:23 OK, what is that?
00:32:24 He has no patience.
00:32:25 It looks like pencils.
00:32:26 We've got some pencils.
00:32:27 Some pencils here.
00:32:28 It says, pick by team.
00:32:31 On one pencil, pick by uniform.
00:32:33 Oh, I like that.
00:32:34 So it helps you with your bracket.
00:32:35 Yeah, and then on the second day.
00:32:37 On the second day.
00:32:39 What do we have here?
00:32:40 Choose Chill Calendar.
00:32:41 Ooh.
00:32:42 Oh, an eraser.
00:32:43 Yes.
00:32:44 Everyone makes mistakes.
00:32:45 I like that.
00:32:46 So the Choose Chill Calendar, love it from Coors Light.

00:33:00 coorslight.com/take.
00:33:02 Celebrate responsibly.
00:33:03 Coors Brewing Company, Golden, Colorado.
00:33:06 Hank, your hot seat, cool throne.
00:33:09 My hot seat was going to be John Collins, so I'll go with my other one, which I'm
00:33:13 kind of scared to talk about, but Boeing.
00:33:15 Yeah.
00:33:16 Yeah.
00:33:17 Boeing is on the hot seat, allegedly, I guess I'll say.
00:33:20 No, they're on the hot seat.
00:33:22 They're on the hot seat.
00:33:23 There was a whistleblower, John Barnett, who was doing a deposition.
00:33:27 He worked for Boeing.
00:33:28 He had all the inside secrets at one of their plants or factories or whatever.
00:33:32 He did a whole testimony kind of going through what he said.
00:33:35 I guess he was reciting a lot of stuff off memory, and that scared the Boeing
00:33:39 lawyers.
00:33:40 He was supposed to drive home.
00:33:41 Boeing lawyers asked him to stay one more day to finish his testimony, and then his
00:33:46 body was found the morning of 3/9 dead.
00:33:48 Yeah.
00:33:49 Allegedly from suicide, even though he told his family, "If I die, it's not
00:33:52 suicide."
00:33:53 He was suicided.
00:33:54 And there was another thing that happened.
00:33:57 I think it was a flight from New Zealand where the plane dipped.
00:34:01 It dropped for about 30 seconds, and everybody on board was certain they were
00:34:04 going to crash.
00:34:05 And the Boeing explanation of what actually happened on that plane was that a
00:34:10 stewardess hit one of the buttons on the seat, which made the plane drop.
00:34:15 I am-
00:34:16 Like not putting your phone in airplane mode?
00:34:18 Yeah.
00:34:19 I'm not an expert on planes.
00:34:20 I do know more than I think the standard bisexual out there, but there's not a
00:34:24 button on a seat that makes the plane crash.
00:34:27 That would be a bad button to include on a plane.
00:34:29 I did used to think when I was a little kid that my Game Boy could control the
00:34:32 plane.
00:34:33 Yeah.
00:34:34 Because it would turn it off.
00:34:35 That part's true.
00:34:36 And I was like, "Oh, I have to turn it off because I could just be left.
00:34:39 The plane goes left."
00:34:40 That part's true.
00:34:41 Really dumb stuff from a kid.
00:34:42 But yeah, Boeing.
00:34:43 Not a great week to be Boeing.
00:34:45 No.
00:34:46 And I'm worried about you, Hank.
00:34:48 That was Henry Lockwood who said that.
00:34:50 He lives on-
00:34:52 Allegedly.
00:34:53 He does have information pertaining to the arrest and subsequent conviction of
00:34:58 Hillary Clinton as well.
00:35:00 Please contact him.
00:35:01 If you're looking at him.
00:35:02 But don't do it at work?
00:35:03 Nope.
00:35:04 If I die, it's not suicide.
00:35:05 And then my cool throne-
00:35:07 If I die, it's not suicide as well.
00:35:09 If I die, it's not suicide.
00:35:11 Unless Billy gets elected president, then I will commit.
00:35:14 If I die, it's not suicide.
00:35:15 Okay.
00:35:16 Cool.
00:35:17 Kate Middleton.
00:35:18 Yeah.
00:35:19 She's alive.
00:35:20 Is she?
00:35:21 No BBL.
00:35:22 Is she?
00:35:23 What do you mean?
00:35:24 Is she?
00:35:25 What do you mean she's alive?
00:35:26 How do you know?
00:35:27 Is she?
00:35:28 There was pictures of her out with her family.
00:35:29 Was that real, her?
00:35:30 Oh, the blurry picture, the Bigfoot quality footage?
00:35:32 Is she?
00:35:34 What do you guys think?
00:35:35 I don't think so.
00:35:36 I think she's going to be alive.
00:35:37 I don't think that was her.
00:35:38 I think they just keep putting these things out there to try to get us off the case.
00:35:40 Any AWLs out there that have had a Brazilian butt lift, let us know first how it turned
00:35:45 out, second of all, how long it took for you to be out in public again, because I'm pretty
00:35:49 sure that it's not like four months.
00:35:51 Wasn't the throne supposed to announce something?
00:35:54 Didn't they have an announcement coming?
00:35:56 Yeah.
00:35:57 King Charles might be dead?
00:35:58 And it seems that if you-
00:35:59 Well, yeah.
00:36:00 I think it was Sputnik over in Russia that reported that King Charles was dead, and then
00:36:03 England had to be like, "Psych, he's not dead.
00:36:06 That's fake news."
00:36:07 But those, the British people are fucking weirdos.
00:36:09 King Charles could be dead.
00:36:11 He could have died on Saturday, and they'll just have him laying in that bed, giving him
00:36:15 little kisses and being like, "We love you."
00:36:17 Are we going to do the thing that we did during football season where we delayed kickoff
00:36:21 of week one to all cry for the queen?
00:36:24 You remember that?
00:36:25 Fuck no.
00:36:26 Are we going to do that again for Charles?
00:36:27 Also, I'll just say, if King Charles did die, like, dude, what the fuck?
00:36:32 You waited how long?
00:36:33 If King Charles-
00:36:34 Your mom lived to be like 100 years old?
00:36:36 You waited 50 years to become king, and then you just, "Damn, dude.
00:36:40 Hold on to that shit longer."
00:36:41 If he is dead, I'm taking Alabama to losing the first round to Charleston, though.
00:36:45 Yeah.
00:36:46 I agree.
00:36:47 You got to think of the edge in that situation.
00:36:48 I also, I kind of love the royal family because they're the quintessential, like, you can
00:36:53 just make fun of them because you can punch up to those people all day.
00:36:57 Maybe that's what they're there for.
00:36:58 Don't feel bad.
00:36:59 Maybe they're there to give hope and meaning and optimism to the British people.
00:37:03 Maybe they're just there to have, like, a group of people that you can just make fun
00:37:07 of all the time.
00:37:08 Yeah, we can all make fun of them.
00:37:09 We're American.
00:37:10 We can make fun of them all we want.
00:37:11 Yeah.
00:37:12 They got to fuck- His brother's a fucking pedophile.
00:37:13 Anyways-
00:37:14 Allegedly, but-
00:37:15 Oh, no.
00:37:16 I think we-
00:37:17 You know what?
00:37:18 I'm going to say it.
00:37:19 He's a pedophile.
00:37:20 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:37:21 He's a pedophile.
00:37:22 He is.
00:37:23 Sweating problem.
00:37:24 Yeah.
00:37:25 He doesn't sweat.
00:37:26 If I lived in England, that would be my career, would just be making fun of the royal family.
00:37:27 Yeah.
00:37:28 I think that's a good thing.
00:37:29 But also, if you're Kate Middleton and you've been- You just got caught releasing a fake
00:37:34 Photoshop.
00:37:35 At some point, if you're okay, wouldn't you put out a picture being like-
00:37:39 Let us know.
00:37:40 Sorry, I got caught putting out a fake Photoshop.
00:37:42 Here's a real picture of me.
00:37:43 Do a Reddit AMA.
00:37:44 Yeah.
00:37:45 I'm okay.
00:37:46 Yeah.
00:37:47 With today's date.
00:37:48 Okay.
00:37:49 Good hot seat, cool throne, Hank.
00:37:50 Thanks.
00:37:51 PFT?
00:37:52 My hot seat is the NIT because Tom Crean, I think he cried on TV when they announced
00:37:57 the brackets.
00:37:58 We love Tom.
00:37:59 We love Tom Crean.
00:38:00 I like his passion.
00:38:01 I admire his passion.
00:38:02 But he's just saying coaches should demand to get better.
00:38:05 And then somebody brought up the fact that his last year at Indiana, they had the opportunity
00:38:09 to host an NIT game and they declined hosting it because they thought hosting an NIT game
00:38:15 would be beneath the University of Indiana.
00:38:18 Yeah.
00:38:19 You know what Dawkins would say to that?
00:38:21 My ass.
00:38:22 My ass.
00:38:23 Fucking my ass.
00:38:24 My ass.
00:38:26 But now to be fair to Tom Crean, I believe that was right before he was about to be fired.
00:38:30 It was the AD's call.
00:38:31 Right when we had him on.
00:38:32 Yeah.
00:38:33 It wasn't Tom Crean's call.
00:38:34 Yeah.
00:38:35 So we're getting all the facts around the situation, but people are upset at Tom Crean.
00:38:39 I agree.
00:38:40 If you're a college basketball coach, you probably want to coach more basketball.
00:38:43 Yeah.
00:38:44 I want to play.
00:38:45 Now if you're a player, you probably don't want to play.
00:38:46 I don't know.
00:38:47 I've always assumed the NIT, if you're a player who's maybe not a starter or someone's going
00:38:52 to the NBA, but if you're someone who wants to get better, playing more basketball is
00:38:58 good.
00:38:59 Right?
00:39:00 Yeah.
00:39:01 If you want to cement your job for next year, it's like bowl games.
00:39:04 Everyone shits on bowl games.
00:39:05 That's an extra three weeks of practice for these college football teams that all these
00:39:09 young guys opt-outs.
00:39:10 The young guys get a chance.
00:39:12 Listen, I want to watch more college basketball.
00:39:14 I'm always in favor of having just more sports on.
00:39:18 And then my cool throne is going to be pettiness with Tom Brady editing out the word foals.
00:39:22 I love it.
00:39:23 Which again, kind of respect, but also good for Max.
00:39:26 Yeah.
00:39:27 Okay.
00:39:28 My hot seat, I have two.
00:39:29 One is memes pointed this out.
00:39:32 The hot seat is Houston.
00:39:33 So this was on college basketball Reddit.
00:39:37 In every tournament since 2021, a top two seat is lost in the first round.
00:39:42 Big sample size, by the way.
00:39:43 In the first round to a team with a phallic euphemistic name.
00:39:48 In 2021, Oral Roberts defeated Ohio State.
00:39:51 In 2022, St. Peter's defeated Kentucky.
00:39:54 In 2023, Fairleigh Dickinson defeated Purdue.
00:39:58 That's three years in a row.
00:39:59 Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is a pattern.
00:40:02 In 2024, Houston will face Longwood in the first round.
00:40:08 Just looking at the bracket right here, I see two right next to each other.
00:40:12 What about Moorhead?
00:40:13 Moorhead.
00:40:14 Yeah.
00:40:15 And then Drake.
00:40:16 Yeah.
00:40:17 And then St. Peter's.
00:40:18 And then St. Peter's.
00:40:19 Oh, fuck.
00:40:20 Okay.
00:40:21 So what will happen?
00:40:22 I don't know.
00:40:23 Interesting.
00:40:24 I'm going to go with Drake.
00:40:25 It's only one in top two seats.
00:40:26 Okay.
00:40:27 In this huge sample size.
00:40:29 Well, yeah.
00:40:30 I don't know.
00:40:31 I think it's just because usually big schools play against schools that you don't hear
00:40:34 about that have...
00:40:35 They have to get admissions up somehow, so they have to insinuate penises into their
00:40:39 name.
00:40:40 Exactly.
00:40:41 Well, there's also St. Peter's again.
00:40:42 Yeah.
00:40:43 St. Peter's again.
00:40:44 15.
00:40:45 Yeah.
00:40:46 Oh, there we go.
00:40:47 Long Beach.
00:40:48 Long Beach.
00:40:49 Long Beach.
00:40:50 Not a youth division.
00:40:51 Yeah.
00:40:52 It's like Longwood.
00:40:53 Just the word long?
00:40:54 It's the same as Longwood.
00:40:55 Schlongbeach.
00:40:56 Oh, Wood is...
00:40:57 Yeah.
00:40:58 Yeah.
00:40:59 Long Beach.
00:41:00 We're going to miss.
00:41:01 We're going to miss.
00:41:02 Okay.
00:41:03 Long bitch.
00:41:04 My other hot seat is Clemson fans.
00:41:05 So this is from a hilarious Twitter account that everyone should follow.
00:41:10 Board Geniuses.
00:41:11 It's message board geniuses.
00:41:13 This Clemson fan called Tiger Bomb one.
00:41:17 I stayed up all night watching every New Mexico State game start to finish.
00:41:21 And from what I've been able to determine, there are two things the staff needs to be
00:41:24 on the lookout for.
00:41:25 First, if they shoot threes, we better be careful.
00:41:27 They're not bad misses or we may get out rebounded.
00:41:29 And second, I hope our team is well rested going into this matchup.
00:41:32 We can chalk this up as an automatic W if we win in those two key areas.
00:41:37 Clemson is playing New Mexico, not New Mexico State.
00:41:40 That's awesome.
00:41:41 But Tiger Bomb one stayed up all night to watch every single New Mexico State.
00:41:45 Are we sure you didn't watch New Mexico and called them New Mexico State?
00:41:47 I don't know, but that's just very hope he wastes time.
00:41:49 The idea of just watching all of them being like, we got this.
00:41:52 What is what is New Mexico, New Mexico State?
00:41:58 Let's see their basketball team.
00:42:00 This year they dealt with some off the court stuff last year.
00:42:03 Yes.
00:42:04 After Chris Jan's left and now he's doing a great job at Mississippi State.
00:42:07 Yes.
00:42:08 But I think it's been downhill for they were 13 and nine in Conference USA.
00:42:11 So easy dub, easy dub for Clemson.
00:42:15 My cool throne is Jim Harbaugh, who did in the most Jim Harbaugh way ever a garage sale
00:42:22 at his house in Ann Arbor.
00:42:24 Is this common when coaches get fired or they leave to go somewhere else for Jim Harbaugh?
00:42:27 It is just sell all their shit.
00:42:29 A man who has millions and millions of dollars is like, well, we got to.
00:42:32 He doesn't waste things.
00:42:33 He hasn't wasted nut.
00:42:34 He would probably win the the Excel Olympics.
00:42:37 Yes, for sure.
00:42:38 He's proficient in Excel.
00:42:39 I just love the visual of Jim Harbaugh being like, here's all my junk because, you know,
00:42:43 he's going to get good prices for it.
00:42:44 Yeah, he's it's not a not a bargain hunter stream.
00:42:47 The khakis would probably go for like five hundred apiece.
00:42:49 Oh, man.
00:42:50 Game one.
00:42:51 He probably has like some dips of school that have just like a little bit left in him.
00:42:55 And he's like, fuck it.
00:42:56 So those two next when we next interview Jim Harbaugh in person, we got to ask for some
00:43:02 game worn khakis.
00:43:03 Yeah, I bet you he'd give it to us.
00:43:05 I think so.
00:43:06 Some of the transition lenses to a mock turtleneck.
00:43:09 Yeah, the whole deal.
00:43:10 I would like that.
00:43:11 Jake, my hot seat is us here.
00:43:14 I'm part of my take because we have some new competition in the sports podcast.
00:43:18 Oh, yeah.
00:43:20 Lou Holtz.
00:43:21 LeBron James has started his own podcast with J.J.
00:43:25 Reddick called Mind the Game.
00:43:27 You'll never guess this, but their first episode.
00:43:30 You ready for this?
00:43:31 Are you sitting down?
00:43:32 You sit down.
00:43:33 I'm down.
00:43:34 They were drinking wine.
00:43:35 Oh, really?
00:43:36 Yeah.
00:43:37 Good for them.
00:43:38 That's just what that's just what average guys do when they podcast.
00:43:40 I would actually listen to LeBron James podcast if the topic every day was who's the goat
00:43:44 MJ or LeBron.
00:43:45 Yeah.
00:43:46 And they just broke it down in a different way every single time.
00:43:49 Topic one, who's the goat?
00:43:50 Topic two.
00:43:51 Remember when you gave your five year old daughter wine?
00:43:53 Yeah.
00:43:54 Topic three.
00:43:55 You remember when you showed your penis on national television?
00:43:56 Yeah.
00:43:57 Now I would forget that people forget about LeBron just slashing America, including youngsters.
00:44:02 Yeah.
00:44:03 Well, they started as asking a very simple question.
00:44:05 What makes a great basketball player?
00:44:07 What was the answer?
00:44:08 I was reading the synopsis.
00:44:10 Being six foot eight.
00:44:12 Being able to shoot the ball in the hoop.
00:44:15 Wine.
00:44:16 Yeah.
00:44:17 Yeah.
00:44:18 They had two bottles of wine on the table.
00:44:19 Okay.
00:44:20 Yeah.
00:44:21 My cool throne is baseball.
00:44:22 Happy opening day.
00:44:23 We talked about it with Stanford Steve a little bit, but we have opening day in South Korea
00:44:28 between the Dodgers and the Padres at 630 AM Eastern time.
00:44:31 Way to stay relevant baseball.
00:44:32 Hey, it's not going against March Madness.
00:44:35 Kind of is.
00:44:36 But it's not.
00:44:37 The timing.
00:44:38 Yeah.
00:44:39 Yeah.
00:44:40 It's crazy move.
00:44:41 What do you say, Max?
00:44:42 I need to add this.
00:44:43 Did you see Jose Alvarado?
00:44:45 No.
00:44:46 He's a pitcher for the Phillies.
00:44:47 He's a larger man.
00:44:49 They asked about the power coming from his legs and if that helps him with his velocity.
00:44:55 And he talked about how he's a big grizzly bear.
00:44:58 And then he said, "I'm fucking fat."
00:44:59 Or, "Fuck it.
00:45:01 I fucked it up."
00:45:02 Well, you're fat too, so.
00:45:04 Yeah.
00:45:05 Wait.
00:45:06 I just had it up.
00:45:07 I just had it up.
00:45:08 Come on, Max.
00:45:09 I was waiting.
00:45:10 Yeah.
00:45:11 So, 605 AM Eastern.
00:45:12 Dodgers, Padres in South Korea.
00:45:15 In other baseball news, did anybody see Chapman's Instagram post that he put up a couple days
00:45:20 ago?
00:45:21 He likes his mom's breasts.
00:45:22 He likes his mom's breasts a lot.
00:45:24 Yeah.
00:45:25 Isn't that just nature?
00:45:26 Way more.
00:45:27 Well, usually you grow out of that, like, what, 37 years ago?
00:45:30 How old is he?
00:45:31 He's older and he, yeah.
00:45:33 36 years.
00:45:34 Yeah.
00:45:35 Usually you would grow out of that 35 years ago.
00:45:36 He's honking them.
00:45:37 He was really into his mom's boobs.
00:45:39 Yeah.
00:45:40 He's honking.
00:45:41 That is the source of life.
00:45:42 He was fondling.
00:45:43 It was-
00:45:44 He's a weird dude.
00:45:45 It was very strange.
00:45:46 He's a weird, weird dude.
00:45:47 That might have been the weirdest, like, self-promoted Instagram video of all time.
00:45:52 Yeah.
00:45:53 Maybe it's cultural.
00:45:54 Dude, is that what happens in Cuba?
00:45:58 I don't know.
00:45:59 I'm just trying to help him out.
00:46:00 He did win a World Series for me.
00:46:02 Max, give us a quote.
00:46:03 Bro, I feel like a fat boy, you know?
00:46:06 Like, I'm fucking fat.
00:46:07 Can you send me that clip, please?
00:46:10 Yeah, it's the best.
00:46:13 He's awesome.
00:46:14 Yeah.
00:46:15 Yeah.
00:46:16 Okay.
00:46:17 Good hot seat, cool thrones, guys.
00:46:19 Let's get to our interview with Mark Titus.

00:48:15 Okay, here he is, our good friend, Mark Titus.
00:48:18 Okay, we now welcome on a very special guest, one of our favorite long time recurring guests.
00:48:25 Eight years running, I think he was first on the show, I believe it was March of 2016.
00:48:31 Might have been March of 2016.
00:48:32 Yeah, it was.
00:48:33 I was guessing number like three or four.
00:48:35 Three or four.
00:48:36 It is Mark Titus.
00:48:37 Everybody was like, "Who the fuck is this guest?"
00:48:38 Yeah.
00:48:39 Yeah.
00:48:40 This podcast sucks now.
00:48:41 Our co-worker.
00:48:42 Just kidding, Mark.
00:48:43 He's been with us now at Barstool for almost over a year.
00:48:47 Over a year, yeah.
00:48:48 Over a year.
00:48:49 Over a year.
00:48:50 First year review.
00:48:52 You got to work better.
00:48:53 You got to work harder.
00:48:54 I got to work.
00:48:55 You suck.
00:48:56 You suck.
00:48:57 You're actually on a pip.
00:48:58 No, I said this last time I was here, I love it.
00:49:01 It took a little while.
00:49:02 Being a new guy here does suck.
00:49:04 I will say that, I'll be completely honest.
00:49:07 Because I was under a microscope that I didn't necessarily think I would be under.
00:49:11 You sort of get like a reality check of how not important you are too when you sign on
00:49:17 to work here.
00:49:18 Because I don't think I'm the biggest guy in sports media by any stretch of the imagination,
00:49:21 but I felt like when I came here I had some sort of reputation.
00:49:25 I had some sort of people kind of knew me a little bit.
00:49:29 But then I got to Barstool and there was just a lot of ... I realized I'm being introduced
00:49:33 to a completely different audience of people that are like, "Who the fuck is this guy?"
00:49:37 A lot of, "He's only here because he's Dan's friend."
00:49:41 Which is true.
00:49:42 But also, we became friends because I was doing some shit before I got to Barstool.
00:49:48 So that part was ... I was not anticipating that, but I love it here and I think year
00:49:53 one was awesome.
00:49:54 Yeah.
00:49:55 What do you have for-
00:49:56 I thought year one was awesome as well.
00:49:57 Do you have anything big for year two?
00:49:58 Face tattoo.
00:49:59 I'm getting a face tattoo.
00:50:00 I think face tattoos, this is the golden era of face tattoos.
00:50:03 They're everywhere.
00:50:04 A lot of celebrities have them and I just feel like maybe that's what I need to shake
00:50:07 it up.
00:50:08 Yeah.
00:50:09 I've noticed that.
00:50:10 There's a lot more people, like if you're a moderately successful punk musician now,
00:50:13 or like a pop punk guy, you're getting teardrop tattoos on your face.
00:50:17 We need to put something in place where we monitor ... If you have a teardrop tattoo,
00:50:20 you should have killed somebody.
00:50:21 You should have a verified body count.
00:50:22 That's what I thought it meant.
00:50:23 Yeah.
00:50:24 It does.
00:50:25 People are just doing it to look cool.
00:50:26 Now people just do it because they're depressed.
00:50:27 Do you remember when Mike Tyson got the face tattoo and we all freaked out about it?
00:50:30 Oh yeah.
00:50:31 Biggest thing ever.
00:50:32 And now, if you watch the Grammys, half the people there have face tattoos.
00:50:35 If you're an artist or an MMA fighter and you don't have at least neck, you're like,
00:50:39 "What have you been doing?"
00:50:40 Yeah.
00:50:41 But year one I thought went great.
00:50:44 So I'm so happy you've been here and joined us.
00:50:49 I pitched you hard what it was like two years ago.
00:50:52 I was doing my cow sitting in your living room, being like, "You got to come.
00:50:57 You got to join."
00:50:58 And part of that was just that when we get to this week of the calendar, I didn't want
00:51:03 to have to text you being like, "Hey, can you come on the show?"
00:51:05 I wanted to just be able to be like, "Hey, can you come on the show and just walk five
00:51:08 feet and come on the show?"
00:51:09 Let me text my bosses, make sure it's okay.
00:51:11 Yeah.
00:51:12 So this is good.
00:51:13 Yeah, yeah.
00:51:14 I'm prepared, I will say, for this year's NCAA tournament.
00:51:17 That was probably the hardest part is the second I signed on.
00:51:20 It made a lot of sense for me to get hired right before the NCAA tournament because it's
00:51:24 my big time, I guess.
00:51:26 But having my first real assignment here to be in the gambling cave with you and Dave
00:51:30 and everybody else, when I really didn't know...
00:51:33 I know Dave a little bit, but when I was in there, I had met Dave three times in my life
00:51:38 and suddenly he's screaming at me about picks.
00:51:40 Yeah.
00:51:41 It was...
00:51:42 Welcome to Barstool.
00:51:43 I'm like, "You guys sit here and be perfect."
00:51:44 Yeah, don't get any of that wrong.
00:51:46 We essentially put you into Navy SEALs buds training, where it's like the first day they
00:51:50 drown you and bring you back to life.
00:51:52 You're like, "All right, now you got to go lay in the ocean."
00:51:57 That is how college basketball guys recruit, is you show all the big-tittied women and
00:52:01 all the gear and all the money.
00:52:02 And then the second you're on campus, you're like, "Get on the line, we're running suicides."
00:52:05 That's how it felt for me.
00:52:06 It was like, "You're selling me on this dream in Chicago and this fantasy factory and all
00:52:12 that."
00:52:13 And then I got this sign right here and I sign it and you're like, "Go sit next to Big
00:52:15 Ev."
00:52:16 Yeah, treadmill.
00:52:17 "Go have Dave yell at you and Big Ev was yelling at me."
00:52:20 I was like, "Where the fuck am I?"
00:52:22 We were just sending you links daily to smoke shows and guess that asses.
00:52:25 And then you signed up here, you're like, "Okay, now you have to sit on a couch directly
00:52:29 next to Mincy."
00:52:30 Yeah.
00:52:31 We hearted you.
00:52:32 Yeah, let Mincy breathe on you for a while.
00:52:34 I'll be better prepared this year.
00:52:35 Who was your final four last year?
00:52:38 Not good.
00:52:39 I had Bama winning it, which wasn't...
00:52:40 Bama made the sweet 16.
00:52:43 I can't remember who else I had.
00:52:45 I had Bama winning it is all I really remember and then they lost to San Diego State.
00:52:49 But I don't remember last year's bracket being that bad.
00:52:52 As far as embarrassments go, I wasn't Jake Marsh who has two years in a row now picked
00:52:58 the...
00:52:59 Has his national championship...
00:53:00 Champion lose on day...
00:53:01 And who's your national champion this year?
00:53:04 North Carolina.
00:53:05 So shout out to the Howard Wagner winner.
00:53:06 Howard Wagner.
00:53:08 We could just dive into it and we could start with the West.
00:53:12 I actually think that that is the most chaotic and ripe for upset region because I don't...
00:53:18 Absolutely.
00:53:19 You mean the region of drama?
00:53:20 Yeah, the region of drama because it's LA.
00:53:21 It's over Rusty.
00:53:22 Yeah, Rusty.
00:53:23 But we caught him.
00:53:24 It's LA and that's it.
00:53:25 It seemed like he had predetermined that one.
00:53:29 But I was looking through the bracket because it's always like Sunday night we just give
00:53:33 our instant reactions then you have a couple days to digest it and I'd spend the basically
00:53:37 Monday through Wednesday filling my head with stats and a whole plan on how I'm going to
00:53:41 gamble on Thursday and Friday and then the minute the games tip I throw it all out the
00:53:45 window.
00:53:46 But that West region, I actually think it's the region of teams I don't trust.
00:53:52 I don't trust the...
00:53:53 Like Alabama which you just mentioned, they have been playing some of the worst ball possible
00:53:58 down the stretch.
00:53:59 Arizona, they throw out clunkers left and right and if you slow them down it's like
00:54:06 they can't run the half court.
00:54:08 Baylor, they turn the ball over and they're like chaotic.
00:54:13 Baylor can look awesome one day and then it can look like they don't know how to play
00:54:15 basketball the next.
00:54:16 And North Carolina is probably the weakest of the four one seats.
00:54:19 They definitely are.
00:54:20 Yeah.
00:54:21 And Bama, yeah, like you said, they don't guard anybody.
00:54:23 I don't think Baylor guards anybody.
00:54:24 Dayton is an interesting team in terms of like they were ranked at certain points in
00:54:29 this season.
00:54:30 They have Derron Holmes who's one of the best players in the country but they're actually
00:54:33 as like a team not really putting it together.
00:54:36 St. Mary's is interesting but like the way they play so slow and I don't know if they
00:54:43 have the top end talent to really go on.
00:54:46 I think St. Mary's can win a few games in this tournament but when it comes to the Jimmies
00:54:51 and Joes versus the X's and O's type thing, like I don't know if they have the horses
00:54:54 really.
00:54:55 Can I throw out one crazy thing in this West?
00:54:58 Go ahead.
00:54:59 Michigan State.
00:55:00 I know.
00:55:01 It's hard not to.
00:55:02 It does feel like if we're going to have the Izzo conversation that we have every year,
00:55:07 it's like his team's not that good but they over perform in March.
00:55:10 And they also, so you guys were doing your bracket show so you weren't able to watch
00:55:13 the CBS bracket reveal but we were joking about it.
00:55:16 They showed Michigan State and someone was like, "They're playing really good ball, they're
00:55:21 just not winning games."
00:55:25 You do have to win the game but they are that kind of lurking team where if they could put
00:55:31 it all together and start making shots for once, who the fuck knows?
00:55:36 My problem with this Michigan State team is I think the teams in the past, the Michigan
00:55:41 State teams in the past that have had those runs, that have not necessarily been seeded
00:55:45 high but have, like last year's team was a 7 seed, they made the Sweet 16, right?
00:55:49 They didn't make the Elite 8, yeah, they made the Sweet 16.
00:55:51 They lost to Kansas State in the Garden.
00:55:53 Yeah, that's right.
00:55:55 But they beat Marquette who was a very good team last year and they beat Marquette in
00:55:59 the second round and it sort of felt like we got a little taste of Izzo in March.
00:56:03 Every other team I felt like there have been stretches through the season where Michigan
00:56:07 State has shown the promise and then they just put it together in March.
00:56:11 I don't feel like this year's team has really ever shown that.
00:56:13 There's been like no point in watching Michigan State this year where I'm like, this feels
00:56:17 like a team that can go on a run in March.
00:56:20 That's the biggest difference is they feel, they felt disjointed the entire season starting
00:56:24 with when they lost to the Dukes to open the season.
00:56:28 Yeah, I remember that game.
00:56:30 It's very funny looking at this Michigan State team because if you look at the Ken Palm and
00:56:35 the Bart Torvick and they're analytically a top 25 team but you're right, they never
00:56:41 had that one stretch where you're like, "Ooh, Michigan State, watch out for them."
00:56:45 They had like a couple, did they beat, no, they didn't beat Purdue, did they?
00:56:50 They beat Illinois at home.
00:56:51 They beat Illinois, that's right.
00:56:52 That was like their big one and then they beat Penn State and Michigan after that which
00:56:57 you know, neither one of those teams are all that great and then they turned around and
00:57:00 lost three in a row.
00:57:02 When you see them at their best, yes, it wouldn't shock, like if you get Michigan State at their
00:57:07 best they can hang with anybody.
00:57:09 We saw it in the Big Ten Tournament, they were right there with Purdue but I haven't
00:57:14 seen consistent and obviously to go on runs in the NCAA Tournament you have to string
00:57:17 together multiple good games.
00:57:19 I haven't really seen that for Michigan State this year so I don't know but it is Izzo in
00:57:25 March and as much as like Izzo haters want to say he's won one national title and it's
00:57:28 been a while since he's been to a Final Four and all that, it's not that Izzo goes to the
00:57:33 Final Four every year, it's that you have situations like last year, they had no business
00:57:38 beating Marquette.
00:57:39 Marquette was very much a better team than Michigan State and on that night, you thought
00:57:44 the seeds were flipped around.
00:57:45 So Izzo's really good at that, he doesn't always have the best team but it does seem
00:57:50 like every time March rolls around that is the best version that Michigan State can possibly
00:57:55 be.
00:57:56 I just think that this year's team, their best version isn't really that good.
00:57:59 It's a great way to go through life though, if you can somehow reach a point where you
00:58:03 chronically set the bar very low for yourself and then outperform those expectations, then
00:58:08 people are always happy with you and people are like, "Oh, you're a great coach, good
00:58:11 job."
00:58:12 That's pretty much what he's doing.
00:58:13 Yeah, he's doing a great job of that.
00:58:14 Another coach, big story in the region of drama, Long Beach State, Dan Monson.
00:58:20 So I'm obsessed with this story because he got fired and then he's like, "Yeah, can I
00:58:24 still coach?"
00:58:25 They're like, "Yeah, I guess you can still coach even though you're fired."
00:58:28 And then he just keeps winning and I hope that if they can somehow pull off the upset,
00:58:34 if Arizona has...
00:58:35 I'll put it this way, it's not necessarily like if Arizona has a bad night.
00:58:38 If Long Beach State, because they play really fast, they're one of the fastest paced teams,
00:58:42 but they just don't score that much.
00:58:44 But if they...
00:58:45 And that's also really bad to go against Arizona.
00:58:48 Arizona, if you want to play fast with Arizona, Arizona will just out Arizona.
00:58:52 They love that.
00:58:53 I think the over under is like 160, 163, something like that.
00:58:57 But if they can make shots, if they can score and they beat Arizona, you have to hire that
00:59:02 guy, right?
00:59:03 You have to rehire.
00:59:04 Yeah.
00:59:05 I'm going to talk about Dan Munson.
00:59:06 Yeah.
00:59:07 Jake's storyline, I don't know if you...
00:59:08 We didn't talk about this on Sunday.
00:59:09 Dan Munson was the head coach of Gonzaga.
00:59:11 He should never have left.
00:59:13 I think he technically hired Tommy Lloyd, but Lloyd never coached with him because he
00:59:18 left for Minnesota.
00:59:19 Which was a failure.
00:59:21 Then Mark Few takes over and then Tommy Lloyd becomes Mark Few's head coach.
00:59:24 There's an alternate world where Dan Munson just stays at Gonzaga because he kind of was
00:59:29 the start of Gonzaga and then left for Minnesota and then that failed and then Gonzaga did
00:59:34 just continue to be Gonzaga.
00:59:36 Yeah.
00:59:37 Arizona last year lost to Princeton and Jake and I have talked about it a lot.
00:59:40 It's like the biggest upset in college or in March Madness history that nobody remembers
00:59:44 because it happened on the same day as Purdue losing.
00:59:47 But Arizona, it is interesting because they feel like a program under Tommy Lloyd that
00:59:53 has...
00:59:54 They've racked up a ton of wins.
00:59:55 There's a lot of promise in the program, but they are sort of...
00:59:59 They have underperformed in NCAA tournament the last few years.
01:00:02 The Final Four being in Arizona, they are in a region that's wide open.
01:00:07 There aren't a lot of West Coast...
01:00:08 You look at the top seeds, it's Baylors I guess in Texas, but Bama in Carolina.
01:00:16 When they play, if they get to the Sweet 16, they're playing in LA, they're probably going
01:00:20 to have some home court advantage.
01:00:22 It does feel like a great draw for Arizona, but they can't get out of their own way.
01:00:27 Both this particular team and them under Tommy Lloyd the last few years, they are the kings
01:00:33 of beating themselves.
01:00:35 I don't think they're going to lose to Long Beach, but who the hell knows what's going
01:00:38 to happen with Arizona because they were number one in the country at one point this year.
01:00:41 Yeah, I would love to see Long Beach win, but I think it's going to be a blowout.
01:00:45 I think Arizona's going to crush them.
01:00:46 This is though, if you're filling out your bracket, I feel like this is the region that
01:00:51 you take a shot.
01:00:52 I think it's going to be a mess no matter what.
01:00:55 There's going to be very few people who get this portion of the bracket correct that you
01:00:59 might as well take the shot.
01:01:00 I completely agree.
01:01:01 I think if there's a double digit seed, if there's a six or higher seed, whatever your
01:01:05 line is where you're like, "That's crazy.
01:01:07 I can't believe they're in the Final Four."
01:01:08 I think it's coming out of the West, which is why I got really crazy with my bracket.
01:01:11 I picked Arizona to make the Final Four.
01:01:13 Love it.
01:01:14 Loud guy.
01:01:15 Sweet seed.
01:01:16 A lot of people think one seed.
01:01:17 I was going two.
01:01:18 What do you think about New Mexico?
01:01:19 I like New Mexico.
01:01:20 New Mexico's good.
01:01:23 They play defense.
01:01:24 They like to run too.
01:01:25 I love the story, which I don't know how much that matters, but the pedigree of Patino and
01:01:30 Mashburn, I love that.
01:01:32 I love the idea of that.
01:01:34 It is so weird though because the Mountain West, as you know, Dan, we never trusted the
01:01:37 Mountain West for years and years.
01:01:39 Rightfully so.
01:01:40 I don't think the Mountain West even had a good tournament last year, but San Diego State
01:01:43 made the national championship.
01:01:44 Correct.
01:01:45 I think it was one team had a good run and that's all it really takes is now all of a
01:01:50 sudden the Mountain West has six teams in and I like all of them.
01:01:53 I think they're all very good.
01:01:55 No, yeah.
01:01:56 The Mountain West usually is just, they're bad in the tournament.
01:01:59 It's just a fact.
01:02:00 And then San Diego State kind of corrected that for them.
01:02:02 But remember that we had, I think it was two years ago when the Mountain West had four
01:02:06 teams in and they were out by like three o'clock on Thursday.
01:02:09 Yeah.
01:02:10 Yeah.
01:02:11 And they, I remember, was Colorado State like Michigan?
01:02:13 I remember there was like a David Roddy who was like a fucking bowling ball.
01:02:17 I love that Colorado State team.
01:02:19 And I think they were playing Michigan in the first round.
01:02:21 It was like a 6-11 game.
01:02:22 And I was like, that's an upset.
01:02:23 That's an obvious, Michigan beat the fuck out of them if I remember right.
01:02:26 Maybe it was a close game.
01:02:27 But I, every time I talk myself into Mountain West teams, they let me down.
01:02:31 But New Mexico I think has a great draw.
01:02:33 I mean, Clemson has, Clemson came out of the gates hot.
01:02:37 They have PJ Hall who's a great player and obviously they have a good team.
01:02:41 But they're not, they're not playing their best basketball right now.
01:02:44 And New Mexico kind of is.
01:02:46 Baylor, I don't think really guards that well.
01:02:49 So yeah, I think New Mexico has a great draw for sure.
01:02:52 I have them going to the Sweet 16 out of that pod.
01:02:55 What about your champion last year, Alabama?
01:02:59 They are definitively worse than they were last year.
01:03:01 So that gives me pause.
01:03:04 They don't guard anybody.
01:03:05 Like they're very.
01:03:06 So soft at the rim.
01:03:08 Florida was getting layup after layup after layup on them.
01:03:11 And it's not that they don't guard anybody.
01:03:13 It's that they're okay with not guarding anybody.
01:03:14 I think that rubs me the wrong way.
01:03:16 It's not like they're a team that, like Kentucky doesn't really guard anybody, but it sort
01:03:19 of feels like John Calipari is losing his mind over that and he's trying everything
01:03:23 to get them to guard.
01:03:24 Oh, he's got tweaks, by the way.
01:03:25 Oh yeah, I saw that.
01:03:27 Yeah, he's got some tweaks.
01:03:28 He's got some tweaks.
01:03:29 Like I think, I think Cal looks at his team and is like, we have to figure this defense
01:03:33 out.
01:03:34 He just can't quite fully do it.
01:03:37 Nate Oates is like, fuck it.
01:03:38 I like, I like my team.
01:03:39 I like, I'm just going to, we're just going to outscore everybody.
01:03:42 Which I would like a lot more in a seven game series.
01:03:44 I don't like it in a one and done series.
01:03:47 But they are, it's hard to, it's hard to match Alabama.
01:03:50 I mean, when they get up and down, everybody on the floor has a green light.
01:03:54 If you catch them on the right night, you think you're seeing the best team in college
01:03:57 basketball.
01:03:58 But I just don't, they don't have the top end.
01:04:00 They don't have a Brandon Miller.
01:04:02 Their best player is Mark Sears, who's a good player.
01:04:04 I don't know how many NBA minutes he'll even get in his career.
01:04:07 So like, that's what worries me about Bama's.
01:04:09 I don't think they have the top end talent and they don't have the defense.
01:04:12 So St. Mary's, Alabama, second round upset alert?
01:04:14 Yeah, it could be.
01:04:15 I mean, that is, that is about as much of a stylistic clash as you can get in college
01:04:18 basketball.
01:04:19 So yeah, if St. Mary's can slow it down and frustrate Alabama.
01:04:23 Does St. Mary's have an Australian player this year I can get behind?
01:04:26 They have to.
01:04:27 They always have to, right?
01:04:28 I need an Aussie that I need to be like, I'm obsessed with that guy.
01:04:30 Yeah, they always do.
01:04:32 All right.
01:04:33 So and then, and then the, the, the opposite of the West going to the East, the most loaded,
01:04:40 what did Rustin call that one?
01:04:41 That's the region of gladiators.
01:04:43 Gladiators.
01:04:45 You know why?
01:04:46 Cause he likes the movie gladiator.
01:04:47 Yeah.
01:04:48 Yeah.
01:04:49 That is, it is a crazy region because you have the number one overall seat in Yukon
01:04:52 and then you have like, if you, if you look at just analytically speaking, like Auburn,
01:04:57 Illinois and Iowa state are all top 15 teams, all grouped in that bracket.
01:05:02 Obviously Yukon doesn't have to play all of them because Illinois and Iowa state would
01:05:05 eventually meet before that.
01:05:07 But they got a tough, like Yukon got a tough draw.
01:05:10 I mean Yukon's better than everyone, but they got a tough draw and everyone's looking at
01:05:14 being like Auburn's playing great ball.
01:05:16 Illinois can, Illinois has two guys that everyone is going to have a problem with in Damascus
01:05:21 and turn Shannon and Iowa state just whoop the fuck out of Houston.
01:05:25 Yeah.
01:05:26 All four of them won their conference tournaments, which where, where are we on that?
01:05:29 Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
01:05:30 I think it's a bad thing.
01:05:31 Yeah.
01:05:32 I think it's a good, I think it's not as bad as people want to make it.
01:05:35 This is my favorite time of year because everyone tries to find the key recipe to like the,
01:05:41 the famous one is everyone's like, you know, top 20 and offensive efficiency, top 20 and
01:05:46 defensive efficiency on Ken Palm.
01:05:48 That's the only teams that have ever won a title.
01:05:51 A lot of the times people are tweeting that, uh, using the end of the camp after they just
01:05:56 went on a national championship run.
01:05:58 Yeah.
01:05:59 So of course they're top 20 because they literally just won six games against tournament teams.
01:06:03 Yeah.
01:06:04 And if you look at it in the past, there's been many, many outliers like that that have
01:06:09 not met both of those.
01:06:11 I've even seen people throwing out like top 40 and top 22.
01:06:14 Well, what happens changing it all these ways?
01:06:16 Like there's no, there's no key to it.
01:06:18 You want good, you want a team that's good on offense and defense, but if you think there's
01:06:22 a formula there isn't, yeah, you, you, you figure out the formula based on the past and
01:06:26 then someone wins it that doesn't fit the formula.
01:06:30 And instead of just being like, all these formulas are stupid.
01:06:32 You say, okay, well let's just tweak the formula.
01:06:34 Now, well let's throw them in with the mix and then the formula.
01:06:37 And then there's always the formula and everyone's like, you know, there'll be like 20 out of
01:06:41 the last 21 just because 2014 Yukon doesn't meet any formula.
01:06:45 Yeah, exactly.
01:06:46 And you're like, but wait, they just won the, they won the title.
01:06:49 Instead of going, well maybe the formulas don't matter.
01:06:51 You said you just put a little asterisk like Maryland in '02 I remember was the, they had
01:06:56 no McDonald's all Americans.
01:06:57 And as Maryland was like going through in '02, it was like, I don't know if you can
01:07:01 win a national championship if you don't have a McDonald's all American.
01:07:04 And then they did.
01:07:05 And then everyone's like, okay, so maybe you can.
01:07:06 All right.
01:07:07 So, all right, we got that.
01:07:08 And it's like, well, you like to Gary Williams just break basketball.
01:07:11 And we've seen that with coaches too, where it's like a Jay Wright can't get over the
01:07:14 hump and then he does.
01:07:15 It's like, okay, so Jay Wright, you're now one of the good coaches.
01:07:17 We'll add you to the mix.
01:07:18 Now we trust Jay Wright in March.
01:07:20 Tony Bennett, you're the new guy that can't do it.
01:07:22 Okay.
01:07:23 Now we, now we trust you.
01:07:24 Okay.
01:07:25 And then even, even the 1215 where, or, or 12 five matchup where everyone's like, you
01:07:27 got to have a bunch of twelves since 2015 the twelves are nine and 23 against five.
01:07:34 And then if you look at the six, 11, six, uh, 11 seeds are 17 and 15 against six seats.
01:07:40 That's the new, but it's just all these things that we try to put in our head and it really
01:07:45 like they, they, they're all just like shape shifted for your, that's the perfect bracket
01:07:50 and 11 seat is just a really good 12 seat.
01:07:52 Yeah.
01:07:53 Yeah.
01:07:54 That makes sense.
01:07:55 Yeah.
01:07:56 Except you can't.
01:07:57 Yeah.
01:07:58 This year they're all bid stealers.
01:07:59 All four 11 seats.
01:08:00 Yeah.
01:08:01 Just penciled them in there.
01:08:02 You can twist it any way you want.
01:08:03 Like if, if Yukon loses and they lose to like a conference champion, you can be like a championship
01:08:08 fatigue for Yukon.
01:08:10 And then if they win, then you can be like, okay, well no, actually winning your conference
01:08:15 championship is good.
01:08:16 Right.
01:08:17 It puts you on a roll.
01:08:18 So the bottom line is we're not going to learn anything about that debate from this region
01:08:20 because we're going to have one conference champion that comes out of it or us are going
01:08:23 to lose.
01:08:24 Yeah.
01:08:25 Or Yukon wins the national championship.
01:08:26 The rest of the teams that won their conference tournament lose their first game.
01:08:30 But because Yukon won the national championship, the conclusion is winning conference tournaments
01:08:34 is a good thing because we're ignoring the rest of the crop that like it made them tired
01:08:39 or you know, I'm trying to find, oh, Bruce Pearl cried at the end of the sec tournament.
01:08:44 He was, he was weeping.
01:08:45 Maybe, maybe that was too much emotion.
01:08:46 I'm trying to find the stat.
01:08:47 I saw a stat where it's like the, the conference champion is, it really doesn't matter if you
01:08:54 win or not.
01:08:55 The only thing that actually matters is if you lost in the first round of your conference.
01:08:57 Yeah.
01:08:58 Right.
01:08:59 If you lost in the first game, you won't win the national championship.
01:09:01 Right.
01:09:02 That's the indicator.
01:09:03 So it's like, and I saw a stat where it's basically like the, the final four is usually
01:09:06 made up of teams that either won it, their conference championship, or at least we're
01:09:10 in the semifinal or final.
01:09:12 So last year I went galaxy brain and I thought I really had something.
01:09:16 Boy, I was so convinced that, uh, I thought if you're a crazy coach, you can't win a national
01:09:21 G. I thought if you're like a coach known for being insane on the sidelines and my rationale,
01:09:26 cause I went back and I looked through all the coaches like Bob Knight won some, but
01:09:29 that was so long ago that it didn't factor into modern college basketball.
01:09:33 And I was like, there must be something to when, when the pressure is high, the mo it's
01:09:39 a tie game at the under four timeout, all the there's nerves setting in and guys are
01:09:43 all over.
01:09:44 You need a common influence in the huddle.
01:09:45 You can't have a guy who's like spastic and yelling at guys and motherfucking guys.
01:09:49 You need a guy that's caught.
01:09:50 And then Dan Hurley won the national champ.
01:09:51 Right.
01:09:52 Dan Hurley won the national champ.
01:09:53 That's cause his dad was sitting behind him telling him when to use timeouts.
01:09:55 Yeah.
01:09:56 So what I could say about Yukon is it has been 10 years since the number one overall
01:10:00 seed has won the national title and 20 years since we've had a back to back.
01:10:03 Yeah.
01:10:04 So that would be the only thing or about 20 years, but still Yukon can do it all like
01:10:08 they do it all.
01:10:09 10 years was, wait, wait 10 years.
01:10:12 Who, who won the last, who was the last number one overall seed?
01:10:14 Uh, let's see.
01:10:15 It was probably Kentucky, right?
01:10:17 Anthony Davis.
01:10:18 Oh yeah.
01:10:19 You met over 10 years.
01:10:20 Yeah.
01:10:21 Yeah.
01:10:22 Over 10 years.
01:10:23 I was like, yeah.
01:10:24 Yukon 2014 was not, yeah, it was probably, or who won 20, was it?
01:10:26 Well, Louisville won, but they didn't.
01:10:28 Yeah.
01:10:29 Louisville with the asterisk.
01:10:30 Um, yeah, I mean like oh nine North Carolina, uh, we went into the tournament, they were
01:10:35 so clearly a cut above everybody else and you're like, but it's March.
01:10:38 You never know.
01:10:39 You never know.
01:10:40 And then they beat the fuck out of everybody.
01:10:43 Killed everyone.
01:10:44 So this, this region, are you just going Yukon?
01:10:48 Yeah, I, I, uh, I do think the Yukon Auburn game could get really good.
01:10:53 Um, the reason Yukon beyond just like the simplistic, they are the best team.
01:10:58 Um, the reason you trust Yukon in March and what they have demonstrated throughout the
01:11:02 season is that Yukon has a plan a, they have a plan B, they have a plan C, they have a
01:11:06 plan D. They can beat you in all sorts of ways.
01:11:09 Uh, and, and you don't have to look any further than just like the Marquette game in the big
01:11:13 East championship when they couldn't hit a shot to start the game and they still play
01:11:17 great defense.
01:11:18 They still, uh, I, I, Yukon fans will say it's Tristan Newton and I, I, I agree with
01:11:23 them, but also you could conceivably just like you could last year with Yukon, you could
01:11:28 have a debate about who the best player on the team is because it depends on certain
01:11:32 factors of certain games and all that.
01:11:35 Um, and for that reason, that's why you believe in Yukon is not, it's not just that they are
01:11:40 beating everybody and it's not just like you look at their record and you're like, Oh,
01:11:43 they won it last year.
01:11:44 They're the number one.
01:11:45 Let's just go with them.
01:11:46 But if you think about how these games will shake, we'll shake out Auburn.
01:11:50 Jani Broome's a great player and Auburn plays great defense and maybe that turns into a
01:11:53 rock fight.
01:11:54 We can trust Yukon in that game.
01:11:56 If Yukon meets Illinois in the elite eight and Illinois wants to get up and down and
01:12:01 they have, you know, Taryn Shannon and Marcus Damascus are hitting everything.
01:12:04 I can trust Yukon in that game.
01:12:06 Um, and that's the reason I, I really, really like Yukon is that they, they can adjust to
01:12:11 whatever, whatever the game becomes.
01:12:14 In Auburn, I, they kind of dispelled it with the SC tournament, but the big bugaboo about
01:12:19 our Auburn going into the SC tournament was a way they were not as good.
01:12:24 Right.
01:12:25 And they will be playing if they play Yukon in the sweet 16, it will be in Boston.
01:12:27 The one thing I was have basically a home game.
01:12:29 This isn't me being an Auburn hater.
01:12:30 This is just trying to like really take everything into account their run to the sec championship.
01:12:36 They didn't have to play the other top, the other top teams.
01:12:40 So Auburn looked great on the run to the sec championship, but it wasn't like they went
01:12:44 through Tennessee and Kentucky and Bama to do it.
01:12:48 Um, which doesn't take anything away from them.
01:12:50 It's just a little bit of context where it's like, all right, is that, is that part of
01:12:53 it too?
01:12:54 Cause Illinois, I, Illinois looks awesome and Illinois was down 10 every game they played
01:12:57 in the big 10 tournament and comes, came back and win Taryn Shannon juniors, like the best
01:13:01 score in the country right now.
01:13:02 He's on a tear, but, uh, I didn't realize that Illinois has not beaten a currently ranked
01:13:08 team all season.
01:13:09 Hmm.
01:13:10 Like Illinois.
01:13:11 Huh?
01:13:12 Yeah.
01:13:13 That, that gave me pause where I was like, they lost both games to Purdue.
01:13:15 They lose both games to Purdue.
01:13:16 The teams they beat like Wisconsin was good, but they weren't ranked when, when they, yeah.
01:13:21 And have we seen Illinois go on a, uh, I think they played Arizona, Arizona beat them.
01:13:26 Um, they beat FAU, but FAU and at the time it felt like something, but FAU hasn't had
01:13:31 a great year.
01:13:32 They didn't play Arizona.
01:13:33 That was last year.
01:13:34 Oh, they beat, they beat Tennessee or they lost to Tennessee.
01:13:36 Tennessee.
01:13:37 Tennessee is the awesome Marquette as well.
01:13:39 Yeah.
01:13:40 So yeah, they lost at home to Marquette.
01:13:41 Um, can you come down a little bit for us?
01:13:43 Are they frauds?
01:13:44 Are you saying they're fraudulent?
01:13:45 Uh, yeah, why not?
01:13:46 Okay, cool.
01:13:47 Yeah, sure.
01:13:48 That's, that's, uh, that's what we want to say.
01:13:52 Yeah, I it's, but, but that's the, that's the context you need those.
01:13:55 Cause you're like Illinois won the big 10.
01:13:56 So they, they must've beaten, they're the best team in the big 10 and I guess technically
01:14:01 they are, but I would feel a lot more comfortable about Illinois if, if part of their path to
01:14:05 the big 10 title was they beat Purdue by like 10, you know?
01:14:08 Yeah.
01:14:09 Our friend Tom Franelli was mad about their seating.
01:14:11 He actually texted me, big cat Hank, uh, that he was mad online.
01:14:15 He said that in 2021, Illinois won the big 10 is a one seed and got loyal in the second
01:14:21 round.
01:14:22 Loyola was ranked ninth by Ken Palm.
01:14:23 We know what happened.
01:14:24 2022 Illinois was a four seed, got the three seat Houston in the second round.
01:14:27 Houston was ranked fourth by Ken Palm.
01:14:29 The fix was in now this year, Illinois is a three seat.
01:14:32 BYU is the sixth seat.
01:14:33 Not only is BYU 16th and Kim can Palm, but they've admitted that BYU is a five seed,
01:14:38 but they had to bump it to a six because it can't play on Sunday.
01:14:41 And who do they decide to give BYU to?
01:14:43 That's right.
01:14:44 Illinois, the committee, the committee hates Illinois.
01:14:47 Does the committee hate Illinois?
01:14:48 Uh, yeah.
01:14:49 I mean, it's right there.
01:14:50 You just spelled it out.
01:14:51 Yeah.
01:14:52 It's plain as day.
01:14:53 Do kind of, Illinois has to get to the second weekend.
01:14:55 Like Brad Underwood has been flirting with it and they, and they've had some really good
01:15:00 teams.
01:15:01 They, I feel like they got to make a little run here.
01:15:02 I cannot believe that they haven't been since oh five.
01:15:05 Right.
01:15:06 That's one of the things that I, even when I am reminded of it, I have to take a second
01:15:10 and be like, it's been since 2005.
01:15:12 Right.
01:15:13 They've been to the sweet 16.
01:15:14 Yeah.
01:15:15 And they do have like, I, I'm a big believer in the tournament, especially like if you
01:15:19 can say definitively you have the best player on the court.
01:15:22 Yeah.
01:15:23 Like those are the teams I will trust because it always comes down to end of game.
01:15:27 Who's going to get you a bucket and Terrence Shannon should be the best player on the court
01:15:30 for most of the games they play.
01:15:32 Right.
01:15:33 A BYU is a terrible matchup though.
01:15:34 And cause BYU has link, they, they, they are very well coached.
01:15:39 Um, I, I, I would feel if I was an Illinois fan, I'd be very frustrated by that, that
01:15:43 you have to, and like you said, like they literally, the committee literally did say,
01:15:47 we think BYU deserves a five seed, but we can't play them on Sunday.
01:15:50 That is very crazy to me.
01:15:52 It's crazy that school can just be like, yeah, we don't, we're not going to play on this
01:15:54 day of the week.
01:15:55 And then the NCAA tournament committee is like, yeah, fair enough.
01:15:58 We'll just change your seat.
01:15:59 I guess the only saving grace is Duquesne is definitely not an 11 seed.
01:16:03 So they, at least they kind of corrected it there where like they're, they're almost playing
01:16:07 a five 12 matchup.
01:16:08 And I think they think that they're, I don't know if punishing is the right word, but it's
01:16:12 like, all right, if BYU, if you don't want to play on Sunday, you're, we're going to
01:16:15 knock you down a seed.
01:16:16 We're not going to knock you up a seed.
01:16:17 Um, and they think that that's the fix and it kind of is in for BYU, but it's unfair.
01:16:23 If you want to call it unfair.
01:16:24 I do think that like, if you're, if you're a team that's really spending a lot of time
01:16:29 trying to figure out if you've got a fair draw on the tournament, you're not a serious
01:16:32 national title contender.
01:16:33 Like you, you, the attitude for the serious national title contenders are like, fuck it,
01:16:37 we'll play anybody anywhere and we'll beat their ass.
01:16:39 Um, the tournament turns into just such a random series of, of like who you end up playing
01:16:44 again and who, and who's hot on the right day.
01:16:46 But I do feel for Illinois fans cause that BYU, uh, everybody they put on the floor seemingly
01:16:51 six five or taller and uh, they're all 26 years old.
01:16:55 Um, yeah, actually don't know that, but that's how most BYU teams are.
01:16:58 They have a big, uh, they have a big boy too.
01:17:00 Um, on BYU the, uh, they're big guy.
01:17:02 They got a, they got like a DJ Burns type dude.
01:17:04 That's a wrecking ball.
01:17:06 I love that.
01:17:07 It's fun to watch.
01:17:08 They should, Arizona state should be like, we are not allowed to play on Fridays cause
01:17:10 we party too much.
01:17:11 Like that's, that's our holiday.
01:17:13 Yeah.
01:17:14 I think they do.
01:17:15 That's why they're not in the tournament.
01:17:16 Okay.
01:17:17 So you have Yukon coming out of this region.
01:17:18 So Yukon in Arizona is your left half of the, of the bracket.
01:17:22 I took a, I took a shot at a, I liked the Drake.
01:17:25 I liked the idea of Drake, uh, going on a run too.
01:17:28 So I put Drake's my Drake's my Cinderella of this tournament.
01:17:32 Um, so I had, I, I crossed it out four different times, but I have Drake in my lead eight just
01:17:37 cause I felt like I should pick one team to one crazy team in the early day.
01:17:42 And Drake was, was my pick.
01:17:43 So Drake's my, the Drake Washington state game is a, is, is one to watch in the first
01:17:48 round.
01:17:49 I think both teams are awesome and I think that's gonna be a great game, but I think
01:17:52 Drake playing Iowa state, if Drake can be Washington state playing Iowa state and having
01:17:56 the in state thing going on and uh, they're going to have the, like you said earlier,
01:18:00 Dan, they're gonna have the best player on the floor and that game with Tucker DeVries.
01:18:03 So that's my, that's my team to watch.
01:18:05 That's the team I believe in.
01:18:07 They have unfinished business.
01:18:08 Last year they had Miami.
01:18:09 I don't want to say on the ropes, but they, they were, they were up at halftime.
01:18:14 They were up deep into the second half.
01:18:16 Let that slip away.
01:18:17 Miami goes to the final four.
01:18:18 Tucker DeVries, their best player was one for 13 in that game.
01:18:21 I think they have unfinished business and I, I liked the idea of Drake going on a run.
01:18:24 Yeah, I did too.
01:18:25 Isn't somebody at Drake related to somebody here at Barstool?
01:18:27 Yeah.
01:18:28 Kyle Conner, Enright, the point guard.
01:18:30 Yeah.
01:18:31 Brother Kyle is our, what does he do here?
01:18:32 Jake?
01:18:33 He's part of Lisa's team on the live events side.
01:18:35 Oh yeah.
01:18:36 He's great.
01:18:37 You remember last year?
01:18:38 No, I know Kyle.
01:18:39 Kyle Conner hit the game winner against Indiana State.
01:18:41 Oh shit.
01:18:42 Yeah.
01:18:43 Yeah.
01:18:44 It was awesome.

01:19:28 Mark Titus is also being brought to you by Proper Number 12 Irish Whiskey.
01:19:33 Had some Proper 12 on Saturday morning before they died the river green.
01:19:37 It was delicious.
01:19:38 They got great, great mixed drinks.
01:19:40 I like the Irish apple and ginger ale, very tasty.
01:19:43 Had an Irish coffee to start the day.
01:19:45 Proper 12 was founded by a true Irishman, Dublin 12's own, the notorious Conor McGregor.
01:19:50 Make it a proper Amazon prime time.
01:19:53 Grab a bottle of Proper 12 for the premiere of the new film Roadhouse starring Conor McGregor.
01:19:57 Proper 12 is a rich and smooth blend of golden grain and single malt, aged four years in
01:20:01 bourbon barrels.
01:20:02 Nothing else just wouldn't be proper.
01:20:04 So crack open a bottle of the original rich and smooth Proper Number 12 or new crisp,
01:20:08 fresh Irish apple.
01:20:10 Proper Number 12.
01:20:11 And now here's more Mark Titus.
01:20:13 Okay, so Drake's or Cinderella?
01:20:16 What's the opposite of Cinderella?
01:20:17 I guess that'd be-
01:20:18 Purdue.
01:20:19 No, no.
01:20:20 That'd be what, like wicked stepmother?
01:20:22 Wicked, yeah.
01:20:23 Who's the wicked stepmother of this tournament?
01:20:25 Actually, that sounds kind of hot.
01:20:26 Yeah, that does.
01:20:27 So what is that?
01:20:28 The team that fucks it up?
01:20:30 Yeah.
01:20:31 What's a good team that's going to choke?
01:20:33 Well, I mean, it would have to be Iowa State because I have them losing to Drake in the
01:20:38 second round.
01:20:39 I have North Carolina.
01:20:40 North Carolina, I think, is the most susceptible one seed.
01:20:43 Because they are heavily reliant on Armando.
01:20:47 They have two identities.
01:20:48 One is let Armando Baycott do everything for us, which is a problem because Armando Baycott
01:20:53 is a big guy and it's not 1971 and you can't really play through a guy like that anymore.
01:20:59 And also he's just not that good.
01:21:01 He's more of like a rim runner.
01:21:03 Someone said that in the gambling cave on Saturday.
01:21:05 They're like, "Are we sure Armando Baycott's that good?"
01:21:08 And I was like, "Well, he's been in college for six years, so I'd say probably not."
01:21:11 Yeah, probably not.
01:21:12 Like he would have gone to the NBA.
01:21:14 But you look up his run at North Carolina and he's the all-time leading rebounder and
01:21:18 he's averaged all sorts of points.
01:21:19 And you're like, "He's kind of good, though."
01:21:21 But you don't want to run your offense through him.
01:21:23 So this year, R.J. Davis is having an incredible year.
01:21:26 He's going to be a first-team All-American.
01:21:28 He's the reason they're a one seed.
01:21:30 I think R.J. Davis is awesome, but R.J. Davis is like 5'11", 6'0".
01:21:34 And if your whole offense is like, "We need R.J. Davis to score 35 points," I don't love
01:21:39 the idea of that either.
01:21:40 So I think they're the most susceptible one.
01:21:43 The problem with picking them to lose is who's going to beat them.
01:21:46 I guess you could talk yourself into Michigan State in the second round, whatever.
01:21:49 But the West is kind of wide open.
01:21:51 So I don't know.
01:21:52 Yeah.
01:21:53 All right.
01:21:54 So Midwest, Purdue, number one seed.
01:21:58 I still don't trust Purdue, but I do think they have a pretty decent bracket.
01:22:05 The problem with that region is who do you trust in that region?
01:22:08 It's a different problem from the West, which is, the West, I just don't like the teams.
01:22:13 I like some of the jerseys.
01:22:14 I like North Carolina.
01:22:15 I like Michigan State.
01:22:16 I like Arizona's programs.
01:22:18 They can do it.
01:22:19 They've done it before.
01:22:21 The Midwest, I like the teams.
01:22:23 I like Purdue.
01:22:24 I like Tennessee.
01:22:25 I like Creighton.
01:22:26 I like all three of those teams.
01:22:27 If you can make a list of three teams that are known to never get over the hump in terms
01:22:32 of going to the final four, it's those three teams.
01:22:35 Ross, you can call this the region of tension because every team is like, "I hope we don't
01:22:39 fuck this up."
01:22:40 I'll tell you what, Oregon, I keep going back to just because I think Dana Altman's one
01:22:45 of the most underrated coaches in the NCAA basketball.
01:22:47 Fun fact, he's never lost a first round game.
01:22:50 Yeah, he's got an incredible tournament record.
01:22:52 He might be the new Tom Izzo in that every year it's like, "Oregon's in the sweet 15
01:22:58 again?"
01:22:59 You think he's dead and he's not dead.
01:23:00 Yeah.
01:23:01 Yeah, and they were dead.
01:23:02 They were a bid stealer.
01:23:03 I also, people, this is another 12-5 where I feel like everyone's trying to get Gonzaga
01:23:08 because they have a down year in terms of Gonzaga.
01:23:11 I'm not falling into that trap.
01:23:13 I wanted to just bring up the funniest season for McNeese State.
01:23:19 McNeese State non-conference schedule.
01:23:21 I don't know if you guys took a look at this.
01:23:23 Let me just list a couple of these teams.
01:23:26 They beat Biblical Studies 96-55.
01:23:29 They beat Champion Christian 110-46.
01:23:33 They beat a school called Le Tourneau.
01:23:35 I think it's Le Tourneau.
01:23:38 Okay, so French.
01:23:41 They beat a French school 81-49.
01:23:43 The big one that they absolutely dominated, they won a game 92-23 against Mississippi
01:23:50 University for Women.
01:23:52 Oh, I love that.
01:23:53 They have a men's team?
01:23:55 Yeah.
01:23:56 When they show the score-
01:23:57 Maybe not.
01:23:58 No, they-
01:23:59 The way they beat them by so much-
01:24:00 92-23.
01:24:01 It makes you think that maybe they played the women.
01:24:02 When they show the score, is it like Mississippi University of Women, parentheses, men?
01:24:06 It's so funny just looking at this.
01:24:08 I did a deep dive into that school.
01:24:10 It looks great.
01:24:11 Yeah?
01:24:12 You did a deep dive into the Mississippi Women?
01:24:13 Yeah, they started letting men in, I think, like 86.
01:24:15 They go by the W now.
01:24:17 Honestly, a sick name for a school.
01:24:19 Yeah.
01:24:20 Yeah, they're the Owls.
01:24:21 They got plenty of men's sports, though, because I thought maybe it could have been women.
01:24:24 Dude, what an easy pitch for a recruit.
01:24:26 Like, okay, you're not getting recruited by a premier program.
01:24:29 Do you want to come to my women's college?
01:24:31 Yeah.
01:24:32 Just chicks everywhere?
01:24:33 Yeah, I do.
01:24:34 OD the Owl, Mississippi University for Women.
01:24:36 I love that.
01:24:37 Yeah, just a hilarious schedule for McNeese State.
01:24:40 But they do feel like one of the 12 teams that everyone's kind of picking.
01:24:46 Yeah, for what you just pointed out, one, the schedule.
01:24:50 Two, I think Will Wade has one foot out the door already.
01:24:53 I think Will Wade has spent a lot of-
01:24:55 He just signed a contract extension.
01:24:56 He also was just on Wake Up Mincy.
01:24:57 That's true.
01:24:58 Did Mincy ask him that?
01:24:59 Are you leaving McNeese?
01:25:00 I wonder if-
01:25:01 It's so funny, because you can get a contract extension, and then your school feels happy
01:25:05 about it.
01:25:06 But do you really feel happy?
01:25:07 Yeah, if you're not, because I'm sure his, whatever the buyout, I'm sure he, yeah, that
01:25:12 doesn't-
01:25:13 I don't think that McNeese can afford a huge buyout.
01:25:15 Right, so I don't think-
01:25:17 Yeah, they're paying money to Mississippi University of Women for a buy game.
01:25:22 But yeah, McNeese, they don't make, they're not a good free throw shooting team, which
01:25:25 I think that's important.
01:25:26 If you're trying to pull off an upset in March Madness, you gotta, when you're up by five
01:25:31 with a minute left and the other team starts fouling, you gotta ice the game at the free
01:25:34 throw line.
01:25:35 I don't trust them there.
01:25:37 They also, I think Kinpom, that was, I think I saw that on Kinpom, that McNeese has one
01:25:43 of the highest three-point attempt per, stick with me.
01:25:48 The teams that play McNeese shoot a ton of threes because McNeese lets them shoot threes.
01:25:52 They have one of the highest ratios of shots that their defense gives up is threes.
01:25:56 Gonzaga shoots threes well.
01:25:57 So Gonzaga, the way McNeese plays defense is they're like, "Go ahead, shoot threes on us.
01:26:02 We're gonna trust that you're gonna miss them."
01:26:04 And they have through the season because they are playing women and they are playing-
01:26:08 The ultimate buy game, B-I.
01:26:12 But they're gonna play a team in Gonzaga that's not gonna miss three.
01:26:16 And Gonzaga, for having a reputation for not being able to win in March somehow, Mark Few,
01:26:22 just 'cause he hasn't won a national title, Gonzaga hasn't lost a first-round game since
01:26:25 2008 when they lost to Steph Curry and Davidson.
01:26:30 And I think that was a 7-10 game, if I remember.
01:26:32 I think Davidson- Yeah, they were a 10.
01:26:34 They beat Wisconsin.
01:26:35 Yeah.
01:26:36 Davidson was a 10.
01:26:37 So that Gonzaga team, yeah, I don't know.
01:26:40 Everyone's just kind of enamored with McNeese winning 30 games and Will Wade being the coach.
01:26:45 And they can shoot threes well, but that's not the 12-5 that I'm looking at.
01:26:50 Yeah, the team that I love in this region, which again, I fill myself with stats, and
01:26:56 then they'll probably lose by 20 because Kansas will somehow become healthy and build self
01:27:01 as an incredible coach.
01:27:03 But I do love Samford and Bucky Ball where they just chuck threes and they have the opportunity
01:27:07 to capture the hearts of America, just the way they play basketball.
01:27:12 That's a more attractive pick to me than McNeese.
01:27:15 But yeah, it is interesting to have Kansas and Gonzaga right there in both teams.
01:27:20 How lucky are both those programs?
01:27:21 'Cause both these teams kind of suck for their standards and they're still four and five
01:27:26 seeds.
01:27:27 That pisses me off.
01:27:28 Yeah, does that piss you off?
01:27:29 It's like the worst team Bill Self's ever had and it's four seed and it's terrible.
01:27:33 What about Tennessee?
01:27:34 What about my volunteers?
01:27:35 Tell me something good about my volunteers.
01:27:36 I love Tennessee.
01:27:37 I hate that they lost in the first round of the conference tournament.
01:27:40 They got the shit kicked out of them.
01:27:43 If I was picking a team to get over the hump this season, it was Tennessee.
01:27:50 If there was a breakthrough team, the Rick Barnes and March thing, but Matt Painter and
01:27:55 March, you have all those coaches that you're certain can't get it done in March.
01:27:58 And I had to pick one of them to buck that narrative.
01:28:02 It was going to be Rick Barnes 'cause of Dalton Connect.
01:28:05 I just don't love that they got their asses kicked in the first round of the conference.
01:28:09 Mississippi State, that was a boat race.
01:28:12 They got the fuck out of them.
01:28:14 Let's talk about that loss because is it something that you think is a systemic problem with
01:28:18 Tennessee?
01:28:19 Do they get exposed?
01:28:21 I think Dalton Connect is the most electric guy in college basketball, but I do worry
01:28:29 if Dalton Connect understands what the score and the time is at any point in the game.
01:28:33 He feels like a guy that has one thought going through his head and it's get buckets.
01:28:40 He's kind of a stylistic clash to what the rest of Tennessee's team is trying to do.
01:28:47 For most of the season, I thought that was a good thing because that's what this team
01:28:50 has needed to get over a hump is you need a guy that can go get you a bucket and Tennessee
01:28:53 hasn't had that for a while.
01:28:55 But sometimes you watch them and they feel very disjointed because of that because they're
01:28:59 not all on the same page.
01:29:00 They're not all cohesive.
01:29:01 Dalton Connect does rule on offense.
01:29:03 He sucks defensively.
01:29:06 This is a team that's like to play great defense as a team, you do need five guys.
01:29:10 You can't just have a couple guys that are locked down guys in college basketball.
01:29:15 I don't know.
01:29:16 I still try.
01:29:17 I have Tennessee going to the Final Four still.
01:29:18 I still think they're going to come out of the region because I do think that this is
01:29:22 the year Rick Barnes breaks through, but I'm way more concerned now than I was a month
01:29:27 ago for sure.
01:29:28 Are you concerned at all?
01:29:29 As a fan of Purdue losing, I know you love it when Purdue loses.
01:29:32 Are you concerned that you're not going to get that joy this year?
01:29:35 They're going to lose at some point.
01:29:36 The problem is I think they're going to probably it feels the most likely scenarios like they
01:29:42 lose in the Final Four and it's still a W for Purdue fans.
01:29:44 Yeah, you know, that's a big dub.
01:29:45 Yeah, they still get their W. But then the Purdue haters are trying to celebrate because
01:29:50 they didn't win the national title.
01:29:53 But Purdue fans like we don't give a fuck.
01:29:54 They haven't been in a Final Four since 1980 and they've won a thousand Big Ten championships
01:29:59 and since then they've been the one seed all sorts of times or been like a top three seed.
01:30:04 I don't remember what the Glenn Robinson years what they receded, but and they've been a
01:30:08 handful of lead eights.
01:30:09 I think this Purdue team is better.
01:30:12 The reason for optimism if you're a Purdue fan is this team is definitively better than
01:30:16 last year.
01:30:17 They are better three point shooting team.
01:30:18 Last year's team wasn't a great three point shooting team.
01:30:20 Lance Jones is a wrinkle on this year's team that makes them a lot better.
01:30:24 My problem is they are.
01:30:25 They are the exact same style of bask.
01:30:28 They play the exact same way as they played last year.
01:30:31 And I just don't I don't I don't know how you can not learn from your mistakes last
01:30:36 year, which is like every time you catch the ball, you're looking to post feed Zach Eaddy.
01:30:40 I don't understand how that's the way you're going about winning games in 2024.
01:30:45 That's my that's my concern with Purdue is like they they are the same team, but they
01:30:48 are better.
01:30:49 So like depending on which way you want to look at it, they're not they're not going
01:30:52 to lose to the 16.
01:30:53 I think they're going to beat the 60.
01:30:54 I think they're going to get over the hump and beat the 16 seed.
01:30:56 I like that.
01:30:57 Can you explain to me as an outsider, because I'm not from the Midwest, you're from Indiana,
01:31:00 you're intimately familiar with Purdue and the type of people that go there and the type
01:31:05 of people that that university produces.
01:31:07 Yeah, there's a lot of hate.
01:31:08 Like I know I know why Dukes hated that.
01:31:11 They're like a national brand of hatred.
01:31:13 I know why A&M is weird.
01:31:15 I know how they're called.
01:31:17 Yeah, we know that reputation.
01:31:18 But like, what is it about Purdue that makes you hate them?
01:31:21 They are humorless goobers.
01:31:24 They are 75 percent dudes.
01:31:26 They have 70 percent.
01:31:27 That's not an actual step, but I know it's close.
01:31:29 It kind of is.
01:31:31 You walk around.
01:31:32 It should be the Purdue University of Men.
01:31:33 Yeah, you do.
01:31:34 Very much.
01:31:35 They have the demeanor of nerds, but not the intelligence.
01:31:39 They're OK.
01:31:40 Yeah, I guess.
01:31:41 Yeah.
01:31:42 Yeah.
01:31:43 Nice people like they're not.
01:31:44 They're not like I'm not like all these assholes, but it's just yeah, it's goobers.
01:31:48 They're goobers.
01:31:49 They're dorks.
01:31:50 They're they.
01:31:51 It's it's something that like I've had people that aren't from Indiana.
01:31:54 I've taken them to West Lafayette for Purdue basketball games and I don't even I don't
01:31:59 prime them for it.
01:32:00 I'm not like tell me your thoughts on the.
01:32:01 I'm just like I sit back, let them go.
01:32:04 And then I ask them, I'm like, what do you think about the people?
01:32:05 They're like, are they kind of like is it the best way to describe it is they're kind
01:32:10 of caught in no man's land where they're closer to like Northwestern than they realize.
01:32:16 Yeah, but their sports are better.
01:32:18 Yeah.
01:32:19 And so but they're not even close to like the party big 10 schools like Michigan State,
01:32:23 Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana.
01:32:25 Right.
01:32:26 But like so they're caught in this weird like spot where they're kind of don't have an identity.
01:32:30 They they kind of don't.
01:32:31 Yeah.
01:32:32 They also have an inferiority complex with a superiority complex at the same time.
01:32:36 Somehow it makes no sense, but they.
01:32:38 Yeah, they they know they're going to fuck it up in March, but then they also puff their
01:32:43 chest and they're like, you hate Zach Eady because you're jealous and everyone's like,
01:32:46 I promise you, I do not want if there's one thing I do not want from my basketball team
01:32:51 is to watch this fucking bullshit every single night out on the basketball court.
01:32:55 They're like, you're just jealous because he's he's kind of Shaq plus a team and you're
01:32:58 just jealous of it.
01:32:59 It's like, we're not jealous.
01:33:00 I don't know.
01:33:01 It's they're a tough breed to peg.
01:33:03 I like the inferiority complex.
01:33:04 It's like that's why they have that big ass drum is overcompensating for something.
01:33:07 Yeah.
01:33:08 They get big players.
01:33:09 Yeah.
01:33:10 Yeah.
01:33:11 Might just have small dicks.
01:33:12 And they also the best thing they had going for them was the free hot dogs at Jake's.
01:33:15 And that was like five years ago.
01:33:17 Yeah.
01:33:18 And I think that ruined it because I've been to West Lafayette a few times and I was like,
01:33:21 well, they got a place that has free hot dogs.
01:33:23 You can, you can have a good time in West Lafayette, but the good time you're having
01:33:27 just makes you think of the other college campus you'd rather be on having an even better
01:33:31 time.
01:33:32 Right.
01:33:33 But Neil Armstrong, right.
01:33:34 Also, Neil Armstrong.
01:33:35 Yeah.
01:33:36 They got a lot of astronauts.
01:33:37 Yeah.
01:33:38 You have a shitload of astronauts.
01:33:39 All right.
01:33:40 Last region, the South region, our region bracket, you know, the torture torture quadrant.
01:33:44 I've looked through the Wisconsin James Madison game in depth.
01:33:48 I think Wisconsin's fucked.
01:33:49 I don't like stop it.
01:33:51 Stop it.
01:33:52 Big cat.
01:33:53 No, I have.
01:33:54 I here's the thing.
01:33:55 Wisconsin doesn't defend the three well and James Madison likes to shoot threes.
01:33:57 And I obviously it's very reductive, reductive, reductive, reductive.
01:34:02 It might be reductive.
01:34:03 It'd be like who makes who makes genuine.
01:34:05 Yeah.
01:34:06 Who makes their three.
01:34:07 Text Jay Billis and see if that was used correctly.
01:34:08 Who makes their threes.
01:34:09 Cause Wisconsin, you know, the, the story of the Wisconsin season as the, you know, the
01:34:12 beginning of the season, November, December, January, they're making their threes February.
01:34:15 They just stopped making their threes.
01:34:16 Yeah.
01:34:17 Went four and eight or whatever it was down the stretch.
01:34:19 Big 10 tournament.
01:34:20 They started making their threes again, looked good again.
01:34:23 If they don't make their threes, it's going to be a terrible, terrible night for me.
01:34:28 And I just think James Madison is a bad matchup.
01:34:30 And I'm not saying that the only thing I could say to be fair is that James Madison has not
01:34:34 played a lot of good teams.
01:34:35 They've played three teams in the top 100 and Ken Palm.
01:34:38 They beat Michigan state, which Wisconsin beat twice.
01:34:41 And then they lost to Appalachian state twice.
01:34:44 So that is the only thing I'm like kind of hanging my hat on, but I'll be on, I'm being
01:34:48 completely honest and unbiased that like, this is a bad matchup.
01:34:53 Are they going to be playing a good team on Friday?
01:34:54 I guess is the question.
01:34:55 Is Wisconsin a good team?
01:34:56 Is Wisconsin a good team?
01:34:57 Do we have to worry about them not playing?
01:34:59 Are we sure?
01:35:00 I think, I think AJ store has to be a superhero.
01:35:02 Yeah.
01:35:03 I think that's the formula.
01:35:04 I think Wisconsin is obviously, you'll be the best player on the court.
01:35:06 They're fine.
01:35:07 I think that they are, they've shown, I mean, you guys ranked what?
01:35:10 Six at one point.
01:35:11 Um, Fridell on JMU, I'm worried about for you guys though.
01:35:15 I think this is, I've been saying it all year about this season of college basketball.
01:35:18 It is the year of the cold ass white boy.
01:35:21 And if all over college basketball, there are just white dudes that can light it.
01:35:24 And it's not just, it's not just that they score a lot.
01:35:27 It's not that they're just catch and shoot guys.
01:35:29 They uh, they just got a little sauce to their game.
01:35:32 And uh, Noah Fridell feels like one of those guys.
01:35:34 Maybe you're going to hate him so much if he, yeah, you're going to fucking hate.
01:35:37 You're going to hate that guy.
01:35:38 I'm ready for tour.
01:35:39 I'm ready for torture.
01:35:40 They, they, they dragged me back in.
01:35:41 But again, I'm looking at it unbiased way.
01:35:44 If I have removed any rooting interest from this game, I would probably bet James Madison
01:35:49 just because I think it's not a great match.
01:35:51 What's the funniest outcome for the show?
01:35:52 What's the funniest, not just for this game, but for the Vermont Duke, how it all plays
01:35:55 out.
01:35:56 Vermont beating Duke, Vermont beating JMU or Wisconsin.
01:35:59 And Jake says good game.
01:36:01 Jake apologizes for winning.
01:36:02 Yeah.
01:36:03 Jake shrugged his shoulders and he's good.
01:36:04 And then I think this is important to also at the same time, a Villanova finishing second
01:36:08 in the United.
01:36:09 Yeah, that would be, that would actually be the funniest possible outcome.
01:36:12 I think the sicko outcome is Wisconsin beating JMU and then Duke just like, like boat.
01:36:17 That's what I picked.
01:36:18 We talked about this Jake on Sunday.
01:36:19 That's a sicko outcome.
01:36:20 That's what I, I picked that in my bracket because I think between, between you two,
01:36:25 PFT is far more excited about the game and I think him, he has to suffer his pain and
01:36:31 then you start talking yourself into Wisconsin again and then Duke just fucks you up and
01:36:35 then you're back to, and Kyle Filipowski like.
01:36:38 It's a lose, lose for me no matter what.
01:36:39 If Wisconsin, if Wisconsin loses in the first two rounds, no matter what, it's going to
01:36:43 be pain for me.
01:36:44 Yeah.
01:36:45 Like no matter what.
01:36:46 But can you just imagine, I have allowed myself to wonder like, what if, what if we win two
01:36:50 games?
01:36:51 What if we go, what if I get an entire week of just like watching highlights from the
01:36:54 first two games, getting excited, buying in when the sweet 16 I just, it would be probably
01:37:00 the most electric college sports moment in my life.
01:37:04 Yeah.
01:37:05 That entire week.
01:37:06 I asked Dan this on the yak yesterday.
01:37:07 What is the stakes of this game in terms of like, like I feel like you guys are going
01:37:11 to bring this game up.
01:37:12 Whoever wins is going to reference this for forever.
01:37:14 I don't think so.
01:37:15 But I don't, I don't get to.
01:37:17 That's the problem.
01:37:18 Yeah.
01:37:19 I don't think so because me and people try to divide me and big cat sometimes with things
01:37:22 like Hank, Hank, especially there's a reason he's not on that couch right now.
01:37:26 But I think if big cat wins, if Wisconsin wins, I'm going to be upset.
01:37:30 I'm okay.
01:37:31 But I'm still in the back of my head going to be like, well that was awesome that we
01:37:34 got to go dancing.
01:37:35 That was cool.
01:37:36 I got to see the game.
01:37:37 Um, and probably the better team ended up winning, you know?
01:37:40 And then if JMU wins, I'm going to be very happy about it, but I'm going to be more focused
01:37:44 on just like what an electric experience it was then to like remind big cat of it.
01:37:48 And less big cat starts coming at me for like commanders bears stuff in which case I've
01:37:53 always got in my back pocket.
01:37:57 What could possibly be a bigger, this might actually divide us situation.
01:38:01 A playoff game in the NFL would be way, way, way, way, way.
01:38:04 It's also going to be helpful that I'm not going to be there.
01:38:06 I'm not going to be on the stream.
01:38:08 So if we were both on the stream, we'd probably say some things, look at each other a certain
01:38:12 way and then just know that it's on.
01:38:14 But it's a lose, lose for me because James Madison is, is the underdog.
01:38:18 It's a cool story.
01:38:19 They're fucking, you know, their, their sports programs have been insane the last year and
01:38:24 people, I mean just being honest, people love to relish in my sadness.
01:38:29 Like I think six, six fucks.
01:38:31 That's why I think Duke beating you is the move.
01:38:33 Cause I think you're going to be way sad, delayed sadness.
01:38:36 Yeah, no, for ultimate sadness.
01:38:38 It is Duke over with Kyle.
01:38:39 Phil Palsky has a couple of dirty plays.
01:38:41 Yeah.
01:38:42 Trips some people.
01:38:43 You're like injures Chuckie Hepburn somehow.
01:38:44 Um, all right.
01:38:45 So the rest of this bracket, I, uh, I, I find myself believing in Marquette for some reason
01:38:53 and that's really just because, uh, I'm doing the, my, my bracket is basically like the
01:38:58 big East revenge bracket where I have my final four is three, all three big East teams getting
01:39:02 there.
01:39:03 But I do, I do like Kentucky and especially cause Cal's doing his tweaks, which would
01:39:07 be huge and Kentucky up the sleeve.
01:39:10 You would say like if you had to, if you had to play one game and you're like, all right,
01:39:15 Kentucky, they have so many dudes and Reed Shepard's electric that I, you know, they
01:39:20 can, they can beat anyone in the country because they have that style of play and they can
01:39:24 make so many shots and they have so many guys who can get a bucket.
01:39:27 You fall in love with the guards who can make their own offense and, uh, teams that have
01:39:30 one of them, you fall in love with like, like I look at like Northwestern who's not really
01:39:35 playing great basketball, but they have boo booey.
01:39:36 And I'm like, if you can plays Northwestern and boo boo, you know, they're not going to,
01:39:41 but you're just kind of like, I don't know, man, boo booey could score 45 points in that
01:39:44 game and it could, the guards that can make their own offense, you fall in love with and
01:39:49 you just do this time of year.
01:39:51 Kentucky has four of them.
01:39:52 Yeah.
01:39:53 It's fucking four of them on their roster.
01:39:55 Um, which might be too many.
01:39:57 I don't know.
01:39:58 That might be part of their problem is, is you have Dylan Ham and Reed Shepard coming
01:40:01 off the bench when both those guys might be top five picks.
01:40:05 It's a, it's a crazy cow has like almost too much talent.
01:40:08 How many balls are there on the court?
01:40:10 I think there's still one, just one ball.
01:40:12 I remember he's got some tweaks.
01:40:13 He's got some tweaks though.
01:40:14 He's going to, he's going to roll the ball out there.
01:40:16 Yeah.
01:40:17 I have Kentucky in the lead eight.
01:40:19 I think, I think this Kentucky team is just too talented to, and it's such a, it's such
01:40:23 a high pressure year for Cal and the program.
01:40:27 What about the one seed here?
01:40:28 Cause I Houston, we know them, we know what they do.
01:40:32 They play insane defense.
01:40:33 I probably will take Houston in the first round just because they were so bad against
01:40:37 Iowa state.
01:40:38 It feels like they're just going to punish the fuck out of the 16 seed and uh, they out,
01:40:43 they rebound the fuck out of the ball, but their offense can go away at times.
01:40:47 I actually think Texas A&M might be live.
01:40:50 They, they, like they, they can, they can get down and dirty and kind of grind it out
01:40:55 and play low possession games because that's what I always look for with these upset is
01:40:58 like what teams can play these low possession games where you can, you know, if you're,
01:41:04 if you're inferior opponent, you can basically make them have to execute in half court and
01:41:09 things won't go as well.
01:41:11 Yeah.
01:41:12 And if you're talking to yourself in a and M way, Taylor again is one of those guards
01:41:15 that can just go bananas and the tournament.
01:41:18 I think Houston though is my, I don't, Houston doesn't feel like an upset candidate to me
01:41:24 because I think Houston is so good at just strangling inferior opponents.
01:41:28 Like when they're playing a team that's not as good as them, they, they, they, their defense
01:41:32 is so fucking locked in that it's hard to, they're, they're, they're not, they don't
01:41:36 really get upset.
01:41:37 That's not how they lose.
01:41:38 The issue with Houston is more when they're playing another high caliber team, do they
01:41:42 have the individual talent to rise to that level?
01:41:46 But they don't like, I agree that when they play long with, they might win by 70.
01:41:49 Like they, when they play inferior teams, they just completely suffocate them.
01:41:54 I have used to win it all in my bracket.
01:41:56 So I like that as my national champion.
01:41:59 I, I probably think it should be Yukon, but it's boring.
01:42:03 And I, I, Houston for long stretches of the season has looked like the best team in college
01:42:07 basketball.
01:42:08 They were the best team in the best conference.
01:42:10 Uh, Iowa state definitely humbled them, but, uh, I think they, Houston defense gets all
01:42:15 the headlines that not enough attention is paid to how good their offense actually is.
01:42:19 And LJ Cryer and Emmanuel sharp can both shoot.
01:42:21 And the idea when you watch a Houston basketball game is like, this is disgusting.
01:42:24 This is ugly.
01:42:25 The ball's not going through the basket.
01:42:27 I don't think that's the case.
01:42:28 I think they, I think they can score.
01:42:30 Um, and I just don't, I don't think they're going to lose to inferior teams.
01:42:33 And I don't think there are a lot of teams that are, that are better than Houston.
01:42:36 So, uh, I ended up picking them reluctantly as national champion, but, uh, I don't know.
01:42:42 I, I think they proved it this year that they belong.
01:42:44 I mean, the, the, the tear they went through in the big 12 is, is impressive in year one.
01:42:48 So I love Jamal shed too.
01:42:50 I think he's the best defender in college.
01:42:52 He's a guy, if we're talking about like guards that can take over games, the, the antidote
01:42:56 to that is having a guy like Jamal shed that you can just put on that guard and say, shut
01:42:59 that guy down.
01:43:00 And he can do that.
01:43:01 And, uh, for that reason, I like you.
01:43:02 I want to see Kentucky Houston in the, that would be awesome.
01:43:05 It's just like stylistically just completely opposite.
01:43:08 All right.
01:43:09 I got one last question.
01:43:10 Roback question.
01:43:11 R H O B a c k.com promo code.
01:43:14 Use it right now.
01:43:15 A Q-Zips polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, and we're in the joggers right now.
01:43:18 The most comfortable joggers in the world.
01:43:20 Roback.com promo code take.
01:43:21 All right.
01:43:22 So if you had to say your one first round upset, we can go around the room.
01:43:27 Who are you going to take?
01:43:29 Okay.
01:43:30 This is the, also I wanted to note I had, um, again, I'm just filling my head with all
01:43:34 these, uh, stats and everything.
01:43:37 What was the stat?
01:43:38 I think it's, if you're filling out your bracket since 2015, I think it's two for 32, 12 and
01:43:45 13 seeds getting to the sweet 16.
01:43:48 And one of those years was when Oregon state was a 12 and they played a 13.
01:43:52 So a lot of people will take the 13 and 12 to win a game.
01:43:56 Just remember that statistically the last nine, 10 years getting to the sweet 16 is
01:44:01 a little different.
01:44:02 So, uh, your one upset PFT to the sweet 16.
01:44:07 Yeah, no.
01:44:08 Or, or just the first round.
01:44:09 Oh, first round.
01:44:10 What do I really like the first round?
01:44:11 Uh, Oregon.
01:44:12 Yeah.
01:44:13 I like Oregon.
01:44:14 Although they're like only a one point dog.
01:44:15 I think I got two, I got Oregon and New Mexico.
01:44:18 New Mexico is a favorite.
01:44:19 Not, Oh, they are.
01:44:20 Okay.
01:44:21 I was just looking at favorite.
01:44:22 They're two point favorite.
01:44:23 Uh, I'm sharp.
01:44:25 Yeah, you are.
01:44:26 Mm.
01:44:27 Your, your advanced analytics works.
01:44:29 Nailed it.
01:44:30 Uh, I'm, uh, I'll probably go with Drake, but I actually think Akron is Drake favors.
01:44:38 I'm out.
01:44:39 Drake's not favorite.
01:44:40 Drake's not a point under dollars.
01:44:41 I think so.
01:44:42 I'll look it up.
01:44:43 Uh, yeah, I mean, Drake would be my pick too.
01:44:45 I haven't mentally day.
01:44:46 So obviously I think Drake's going to win the first round.
01:44:48 Uh, I'll take Purdue over the 16th seed.
01:44:51 Okay.
01:44:52 Sure.
01:44:53 Okay.
01:44:54 I think that's, yeah, I think, I think they do get over the hump.
01:44:55 Um, I like that one.
01:44:57 Grand Canyon is the, is the 12.
01:44:58 I'm slowly talking myself into, uh, it's nothing against St. Mary's.
01:45:02 It's just grand Canyon is so fun.
01:45:05 And uh, and Bryce drew is an awesome guy.
01:45:08 I think he's a great coach and it didn't work out at Vanderbilt, but I think he's a, they,
01:45:12 they have the pedigree too.
01:45:13 They came, they came to the tournament last year and um, they're kind of building something
01:45:16 in grand Canyon.
01:45:17 They're on a long when you said they have the longest winning streak, Jake.
01:45:20 Yeah.
01:45:21 Uh, no, James Madison, James Madison does, but they have, they've, they've, they've been
01:45:24 on a tear grand Canyon has.
01:45:26 Um, so yeah, I'll pick grand Canyon cause uh, if they can speed St. Mary's up, which
01:45:30 is a big F and everybody that plays St. Mary's says that.
01:45:33 But uh, yeah, I think grand Canyon is, is a fun team.
01:45:36 Drake is a favorite by the way.
01:45:37 Drake is the favorite.
01:45:38 I was wrong.
01:45:39 Uh, Drake is, no, that means you were sharp.
01:45:41 Yeah.
01:45:42 That means I was sharp, but that's not really an upset.
01:45:44 That does bother me.
01:45:45 I know it shouldn't.
01:45:46 I think it's, it's uh, something that I wish I could correct in my own brain when like
01:45:51 an 11 seed or a 10 seed is a favorite and wins and everyone's like the craziest upsets
01:45:56 today.
01:45:57 Yeah.
01:45:58 I, I feel like an absolute loser to be like, well actually they were favorites, but I can't
01:46:02 correct it.
01:46:03 I'm like, dude, they were favorite.
01:46:05 I think you can say that if somebody is like, they shocked the world, right?
01:46:08 Then you can point out to them, right?
01:46:09 They were favorite, like New Mexico being a two point favorite as an 11 seed.
01:46:13 And if they win that game, everyone's going to be like, Holy shit, what a day.
01:46:16 And it, it bought, I hate myself.
01:46:18 Yeah.
01:46:19 I hate you too.
01:46:20 I hate myself for that.
01:46:21 I'm like, let's storm the court as favorites.
01:46:22 People are like, well, they're favorites.
01:46:23 Why are they storming court?
01:46:24 Yeah.
01:46:25 I hate that.
01:46:26 Yeah.
01:46:27 Uh, cause I'm pro court storming at all times.
01:46:29 I can't undo it.
01:46:30 Well, you can't undo the wiring in your brain.
01:46:31 I can't undo the wiring, the, the decades of watching the NCAA tournament and the team
01:46:35 wearing white losing is, yes, that's an upset.
01:46:38 No matter what the spread says, the team wearing the white jerseys, if they lose, that is an
01:46:43 upset.
01:46:44 Also, you know what they should do?
01:46:45 I wish they would go back.
01:46:46 It's similar to the Superbowl logos, how they've ruined the Superbowl logos cause they made
01:46:50 it so corporate.
01:46:51 Go back to the weird courts.
01:46:52 I know like the Iowa state game always is seared in my brain.
01:46:55 When they were playing in that weird orange and blue court, Boise state.
01:46:58 Yeah.
01:46:59 When they were, when they were two seed and lost and I'm just like, go back to that.
01:47:03 Yeah.
01:47:04 Those are the memories I want.
01:47:05 Jeff D. Lowe's a big proponent of that.
01:47:06 I think I'm sure he is.
01:47:07 Yeah.
01:47:08 Maybe not.
01:47:09 Jeff loves all the weirdest parts of basketball that nobody else can notice.
01:47:13 Yeah.
01:47:14 Yeah.
01:47:15 Um, so your final four, you said Houston, Tennessee, Yukon and Arizona.
01:47:18 Yeah.
01:47:19 We have the same final four.
01:47:20 Oh really?
01:47:21 Fuck.
01:47:22 Let's go.
01:47:23 You're fucked.
01:47:24 We have a perfect bracket.
01:47:25 I'm going to say though.
01:47:26 Okay, cool.
01:47:27 One a one B. We have a perfect bracket.
01:47:28 I watch, I think you watch too little college basketball.
01:47:30 I watch too much.
01:47:31 Right in the middle.
01:47:32 You're right in the middle.
01:47:33 Somewhere a narrative got started that I don't watch college sports.
01:47:35 No, I didn't say you don't.
01:47:36 I don't really understand.
01:47:37 Like I, okay.
01:47:38 I watch, I watch probably five college basketball games a week before more.
01:47:43 No, I didn't mean for it to be a personal attack.
01:47:46 I'm sorry if it's coming off as a defensive against you.
01:47:48 You sound like a Purdue fan right now.
01:47:49 There's really are.
01:47:50 You can't take a joke.
01:47:51 I've just had like three people tell me that in the last week.
01:47:54 I was like, I don't know.
01:47:55 I don't know.
01:47:56 Like how much am I supposed to be watching?
01:47:57 No, the problem is I watched too much.
01:48:00 Yeah.
01:48:01 I mean, it's fair to say no one is coming to PFT commenter for their bracket picks,
01:48:04 right?
01:48:05 Correct.
01:48:06 Yeah.
01:48:07 That's all I'm saying is you're not, you're not a guy who watches a ton to where everyone's
01:48:08 like, I want to know what PFT has to say.
01:48:09 I kind of am.
01:48:10 And I think it's, we were on the bell curve.
01:48:13 I think the guys who win are in the middle.
01:48:15 I've watched too much.
01:48:16 You've watched too little.
01:48:17 Yeah.
01:48:18 I think that's the narrative.
01:48:19 That's just based on the fact that I watched an unhealthy amount of college sport.
01:48:21 Yeah.
01:48:22 You watch a regular amount.
01:48:23 Yeah.
01:48:24 His, his, uh, lock of the day when we were doing our parlay was what university of Texas
01:48:27 Arlington against, against who, uh, they were playing, who are they playing?
01:48:34 I can't remember what it was such a great game.
01:48:36 Fuck.
01:48:37 It was an awesome game.
01:48:38 Oh, Tarleton.
01:48:39 Tarleton.
01:48:40 Yeah.
01:48:41 They won.
01:48:42 Like Axe and I were up till two in the morning.
01:48:43 That game rocked.
01:48:44 I'm so upset that they, I would have picked them to go to the elite eight if they won
01:48:46 it.
01:48:47 I think I had normal picks.
01:48:48 Like I had the Kentucky over Hank had NC state and then big cats like you got to watch this
01:48:52 Tarleton game.
01:48:53 No bass and it hit, it hit a bass and you have Houston as your champion.
01:48:56 I've Houston over Arizona.
01:48:57 I think Arizona, Arizona beats Yukon in Phoenix.
01:49:01 The Arizona fans are going crazy.
01:49:02 They're like, Holy fucking shit.
01:49:04 It's going to have a little, uh, Wisconsin 2015 vibes to it where they're like, we did
01:49:08 it celebrate and then they lose the national championship to Houston.
01:49:12 Okay.
01:49:13 Okay.
01:49:14 I think they celebrate too soon.
01:49:15 Yeah.
01:49:16 Yeah.
01:49:17 I did celebrate you soon.
01:49:18 Uh, okay.
01:49:19 Mark Titus.
01:49:20 Thank you as always.
01:49:21 Thanks guys.
01:49:22 Thanks for watching.
01:49:23 I hope you enjoyed the show.

01:50:12 Where to next?
01:50:14 Okay.
01:50:16 We got hashtag mad online to end the show today.
01:50:20 Reminder Friday, we will have a show.
01:50:21 We have Stanford Steve who will give you Friday winners.
01:50:25 So Stanford Steve is going to give us after Thursday, we get our teeth kicked in.
01:50:29 Stanford Steve will be joining us on Friday to hopefully pick up the pieces for us.
01:50:33 Hank.
01:50:34 All right.
01:50:35 These are people mad about a tournament stuff.
01:50:38 Dan, Dan, Dan says in 21, one seat Illinois had to play an underseated in state loyal
01:50:44 team in round two.
01:50:45 22, they drew underseated Houston in round two.
01:50:49 This year, not only do we play an underseated BYU in the second round, number 16 Ken Palm.
01:50:54 Oh no.
01:50:57 A lot of words.
01:50:59 Not only do we, but he didn't say, but these are the Ken Palm ranks of the other teams
01:51:03 in their region.
01:51:04 One is Yukon, four Auburn, five Iowa state, 16 BYU, 21 SDSU.
01:51:08 Yeah.
01:51:09 So they got a bad draw.
01:51:10 We talked about this earlier because you actually texted that to me and big cat last night.
01:51:15 By you, I mean Tom Franelli sent that over.
01:51:16 So they make good points and also the BYU thing is very funny.
01:51:20 Yeah.
01:51:21 I like this one.
01:51:23 Hot take when non at large teams like NC state and Oregon make their conference tournament,
01:51:28 that conference should be the conference that loses a bit.
01:51:31 I like that.
01:51:32 So in this case, Virginia and Colorado out.
01:51:33 Yeah, I like that.
01:51:34 Good, good choice.
01:51:35 I like, this is a good rule.
01:51:36 It also is very funny to me, which we haven't brought up cause we've talked to Fanta and
01:51:40 Rothstein about the expansion of the tournament.
01:51:44 The tournament is already the whole country.
01:51:47 Yeah.
01:51:49 Because you can win your conference tournament.
01:51:51 Yeah.
01:51:52 Why, why, why don't people do when people say they want to expand and be like, dude,
01:51:54 it's expanded.
01:51:55 Yeah, no, they all, they're all in the very, everyone's in the tournament.
01:51:59 Also the very nature of the regular season.
01:52:01 Right.
01:52:02 But everyone's in the tournament because you can win your conference tournament and then
01:52:05 be in the tournament.
01:52:06 Yeah.
01:52:07 96 is too much.
01:52:08 That's too many teams.
01:52:09 We have a 336 team tournament or whatever.
01:52:11 Except that stupid rule with the D2 to D1 transition.
01:52:14 That's the worst.
01:52:15 When teams win that, I feel like there's one every few years.
01:52:18 I agree with that.
01:52:19 I agree with that.
01:52:20 You shouldn't, you shouldn't take that away from teams if they prove it.
01:52:23 But their tournament is expanded.
01:52:25 The whole country's in the tournament.
01:52:26 That's the beauty of the tournament.
01:52:29 Everyone's mad about Virginia, but why is Texas a comfortable seven seed while teams
01:52:33 in the big 12 with similar records got left out or weren't even on the Oklahoma, Oklahoma,
01:52:38 Kansas state who just be Texas, Cincinnati.
01:52:41 Oklahoma, Kansas state, I don't think had the resume.
01:52:43 Oklahoma definitely did.
01:52:44 They were the first team out and there they got screwed and it was because of all these
01:52:48 bid stealers.
01:52:50 It sucks, but should have won more games.
01:52:52 I also, I respect the guy from Oklahoma being mad, but their outlet for being mad is like,
01:52:57 well, Texas shouldn't be seated as high.
01:52:59 Right.
01:53:00 Right.
01:53:01 I like that.
01:53:02 Like you're, you're a natural course of energy for you would be to be like, why the fuck
01:53:05 is UVA in it?
01:53:06 But because you're an Oklahoma fan, you're like, well, they gave Texas too much credit.
01:53:10 They should be seated lower, which I like.
01:53:11 I appreciate that.
01:53:12 And you kind of tried to get us off the scent there a little bit with Cincy.
01:53:15 Since he, I feel like could have had a resume worthy, but Kansas state was, I mean, they
01:53:21 were 19 and 14.
01:53:24 Dallas says, I don't think Dayton deserve to get in a tournament.
01:53:27 Only two wins against teams in the tournament.
01:53:29 And that was Longwood and Duquesne lost games and conference against Duquesne Richmond,
01:53:34 VCU Loyola and Mason best wins against since he and St. John's makes no sense.
01:53:39 Ooh, I liked this.
01:53:40 The Dayton, I mean, this is another one.
01:53:43 If we had had the first rule that was offered up, which I agree with Dayton wouldn't be
01:53:46 in because Duquesne would have taken their spot.
01:53:48 I'm fine with that.
01:53:49 If you have a bid stealer in your tournament conference tournament, it takes out one of
01:53:52 your bids.
01:53:53 Yeah.
01:53:54 Dayton, they should have won their tournament.
01:53:55 Wait, but hold on.
01:53:58 But then by that you could have taken out like Crate.
01:54:00 Yeah, that would have been, that would probably be a problem.
01:54:03 Like if Providence had won the tournament, Crate and would be out.
01:54:06 I just think they should do a better job of picking which teams are in the tournament
01:54:10 so as to not make me angry.
01:54:11 Yeah.
01:54:12 Also, I hate to say it to the bubble people cause I know that like a Oklahoma fan, a St.
01:54:18 John's fan is all you've been thinking about.
01:54:20 No one gives a fuck once the brackets out.
01:54:22 Yeah.
01:54:23 Once, once we get our hands on the bracket, I don't, could you name a team that just missed
01:54:30 the tournament three years ago?
01:54:33 No chance.
01:54:34 It's more about, it's not necessarily.
01:54:36 When I get my hands on the bracket, because you do have those two days to be angry.
01:54:39 You can be mad Monday, Tuesday.
01:54:40 I'm just saying it's one of those angers that no one else cares about.
01:54:44 No one's going to care about it.
01:54:45 No one's going to care about it.
01:54:46 What?
01:54:47 I think Louisville may have been one of those teams.
01:54:48 In when?
01:54:49 I'm still mad about that.
01:54:50 2021.
01:54:51 Okay.
01:54:52 Yeah.
01:54:53 I'm furious about that.
01:54:54 Do you guys see Rick Pitino's suggestion for the selection committee?
01:54:56 He said, have a great suggestion for Dan Gavitt, who's absolutely the best.
01:54:59 I know three guys who are watching games all year and would be a great addition.
01:55:02 They won't just look at certain metrics.
01:55:04 Jim Boeheim, Roy Williams, and Coach K. They need to be part of selection.
01:55:07 Just get your friends involved.
01:55:08 Get the old guard back.
01:55:09 Just trying to get them a job.
01:55:10 His suggestion is just like, my suggestion is that it'd be a real shame if there was
01:55:14 a horse head in your bed when you woke up tomorrow.
01:55:16 Yeah.
01:55:17 Okay.
01:55:18 Good suggestion, right?
01:55:19 Big Cat, I also think UVA makes a difference in your theory.
01:55:21 What do you mean?
01:55:23 That nobody wants to watch UVA.
01:55:24 Oh yeah.
01:55:25 That part, that will add to the bubble.
01:55:28 But they also got in the play-in.
01:55:30 So I always-
01:55:32 If they win tonight, like 50 to 46, everyone's going to be like, holy shit, we have to watch
01:55:36 this fucking game again.
01:55:37 Well, like I said on Monday, it's the narrative game.
01:55:41 Because if they win tonight, then everyone's going to be like, the Mountain West shouldn't
01:55:44 have six teams.
01:55:45 And if they lose tonight, they'll be like, fuck it.
01:55:48 The thing that sucks to me is St. John's is more fun than Colorado State or UVA.
01:55:54 It's just a fact.
01:55:56 They play a more fun brand of basketball.
01:55:59 Yes, we'll end with that.
01:56:00 That should be the tiebreaker, which is fun.
01:56:02 Who do people want to watch?
01:56:04 Yeah.
01:56:05 Will the overhit.
01:56:06 I threw away my Irish heritage on Sunday.
01:56:09 I drank red wine and ate Italian food in preparation for selection Sunday.
01:56:13 I sat there watching my TV with a chicken parm only to see my savior not be an attorney.
01:56:18 What they did to St. John's and Rick Pitino is criminal.
01:56:22 Yeah, I mean, I would agree.
01:56:26 Irish and Italians, they're so much more alike than they like to admit.
01:56:29 Yeah, they don't like each other.
01:56:30 Yeah, but they're basically the same.
01:56:31 It's like Baltimore and Pittsburgh fans hitting each other.
01:56:33 It's like, no, you're the same person.
01:56:36 It's the famous Christopher Moltisanti when he was in the hospital bed and he's like,
01:56:42 I went to hell.
01:56:43 And they're like, what it look like?
01:56:44 They were like, it was a bar and it was St. Patrick's Day.
01:56:47 Every day was St. Patrick's Day.
01:56:48 Yeah, and then the Irish person's like, I went to hell.
01:56:51 What was it?
01:56:52 It was Columbus Day.
01:56:53 Yeah.
01:56:54 You are the same people.
01:56:55 You should get along.
01:56:56 Yeah.
01:56:57 Italians, they don't have a party day.
01:56:58 Imagine if they did.
01:56:59 I mean, I don't have a party day like St. Patrick's Day.
01:57:02 I feel like they just have every day.
01:57:04 Memorial.
01:57:05 I mean, no, no one has a bar.
01:57:07 No one has a St. Patrick's Day.
01:57:09 DJ's Biggie's tourney.
01:57:11 Biggie's tourney.
01:57:12 The start of the Biggie's tourney is Italian Heritage Day.
01:57:16 One of my favorite takes Max has ever had because it really it doesn't make sense, but
01:57:19 it makes perfect sense.
01:57:20 Yeah, I get it.
01:57:21 Yeah, makes perfect sense.
01:57:23 Labor Day.
01:57:24 All the unions.
01:57:25 R.I.P.
01:57:26 Jimmy Hoffa.
01:57:27 Jimmy Hoffa.
01:57:30 Okay.
01:57:31 Good show, boys.
01:57:32 Good luck to everyone on Thursday.
01:57:34 We'll see you on Friday morning.
01:57:37 Fresh off of 12 hours of watching college basketball.
01:57:39 Fresh off winning.
01:57:40 Yeah.
01:57:41 Fresh off.
01:57:42 We're going to be the only podcast in America that has a perfect bracket on Friday.
01:57:45 I have to win tonight.
01:57:46 All of our teams will survive day one.
01:57:49 You said it, Jake.
01:57:51 Jake, I'm surprised you haven't done a who do you like in the first game?
01:57:55 MSU?
01:57:56 Oh, I did on the show.
01:57:58 Okay, nice.
01:57:59 Have you have you done Barack itology?
01:58:00 No, not good.
01:58:01 State.
01:58:02 I've got really dangerous.
01:58:03 I love it when it's like when I know Obama was Irish, by the way.
01:58:06 That was a fun fact.
01:58:07 He is.
01:58:08 Wait, what?
01:58:09 He someone released a video, I guess.
01:58:10 I guess when he was a president, he released it.
01:58:12 He was Irish and then Irish people made a bunch of songs about him.
01:58:15 Oh, huh?
01:58:16 Did not know that.
01:58:17 You got to hear the song.
01:58:18 Hold on, Jake.
01:58:19 You're big.
01:58:20 Like when Arizona plays Kentucky, the Wildcats are going to win.
01:58:23 No, just the MSU thing.
01:58:25 But yeah, every president should fill out a bracket with Andy Katz.
01:58:32 Rules is very cool.
01:58:35 They make the best fucking song.
01:58:37 You're so Barack Obama.
01:58:40 I would love Obama.
01:58:42 McGregor and there's a better and he's going to knock out Floyd Mayweather.
01:58:48 So Floyd, watch out.
01:58:50 The Irish are coming.
01:58:52 Talk all you want, but you'll do nothing.
01:58:54 We may be saying that 3000 times.
01:58:57 Yeah, in Vegas.
01:58:58 You have to get caught.
01:58:59 We got caught on.
01:59:00 We got caught.
01:59:01 I would love to see Joe Biden fill out a bracket.
01:59:03 That would be, that would be it.
01:59:05 See if he can do it without falling down.
01:59:06 How about this?
01:59:07 Biden it.
01:59:08 Okay.
01:59:09 We'll workshop it.
01:59:10 Yeah.
01:59:11 Yeah.
01:59:12 All time.
