A GENIUS mechanic has spent two years building his very own Formula 1 car from scratch. After attending a car event in Belgrade, supercar fanatic Mišo Kuzmanovic decided to make his childhood dreams come true by constructing his own race-car. Mišo worked long days and nights to complete his passion project, putting in more than 1,000 hours of labour – and spending an estimated $26,000 in the process. And now, Mišo’s efforts have been rewarded as he can drive the vehicle around his hometown, Prnjavor, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, after making it fully road-legal.

00:00 Hello, I'm Miso Kuzmanovic from Prnjavor, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
00:05 This is my Formula.
00:24 I read that Formula 1 is coming to Belgrade, just for a little promotion, so we went there.
00:30 It was cold, and then we watched the race.
00:38 I did the construction and design in my job.
00:47 My friends also helped me.
00:51 He stayed up late, so we came to help him.
00:57 We brought him food and checked if he was OK.
01:00 I was happy to help him, and later we enjoyed driving this car together.
01:08 The top speed for this F1 look-alike is about 100mph, not quite fast enough to race the real thing.
01:20 Formula 1 is not identical to Formula 1, it was built according to my vision.
01:31 It was hard, because we had to put everything together and solve everything. It took about two years.
01:39 We added some music, which is not in the regular Formula 1.
01:44 Here we have a box, a reservoir, a motor, a gearbox, a rear wheel drive.
01:54 The space is small, so I had to turn the wheel to put my foot in.
02:01 It says, "Please don't lean, touch and get in."
02:07 Thank you.
02:08 This problem was not the same in all of this.
02:14 Everyone wanted to touch, sit, lean, take pictures.
02:19 I understand that, but I had to write it down to keep the color and the lines.
02:28 My wife helped me with this problem.
02:36 She asked me how long I would drive Formula 1, and where I would be.
02:41 So I had to finish the other part.
02:44 I can tell you that it is unique, and each unique is expensive.
02:50 It was a hard process to legalize it.
02:54 There was a lot of paperwork and obligations, but we managed to register it.
03:02 I have a desire and an idea to create something else.
03:08 These are some little secrets.
