00:00 The bridges won't just provide a new link from Victoria Park to the CBD, they'll be
00:07 a visual attraction in their own right, displaying anything from flags to designs to wildlife.
00:13 The bridge itself is going to become a digital canvas for a whole range of messages, images
00:19 and moving images which will feature as an important part of this new pedestrian and
00:25 cyclist bridge. A new iconic lighting and visual design for this project which will
00:31 really bring to life this great transport infrastructure.
00:36 The stay cables measuring between 17 and 94 metres will host the images.
00:41 A new canvas created that will be able to project images of Western Australia to tourists
00:46 alike and will be I think a feature of many community activities for decades to come.
00:53 Ms Safioti says there won't be political messages or business advertising. She says
00:58 the displays won't be a distraction for drivers on the road bridge as tests have been carried
01:03 out.
01:04 It's always about the amount of movement and the timing of that movement and we've seen
01:08 that in relation to electronic billboards across the state. It's all about the rate
01:13 of movement and also whether it's in the eye line of the driver.
01:18 The first bridge module constructed at Henderson is now in place and there are 15 more to go.
01:23 Work is happening here on a Sunday. The construction effort is continuing every day of the week.
01:29 The bridge is expected to be finished before the end of the year.
