00:00 This is every cheat pack you should use if you're homeless.
00:03 When you're living like a nomad,
00:04 that usually means you're not torching up the area very much
00:07 which also means you have to deal with a lot of creepers.
00:09 That is, unless you take the time to tame a cat
00:11 since by just grabbing yourself a feline friend,
00:13 that'll be enough to keep all of these creepers
00:15 away from you and phantoms too,
00:17 which when you're not regularly sleeping in a bed,
00:19 that's also very appreciated.
00:21 And while sure, it might take some fish
00:22 to tame them initially,
00:23 they're an investment that pays off
00:25 and a cheap one at that too.
00:26 And luckily for us, we don't have to just settle for one pet
00:29 since by killing some of the skeletons
00:30 that have given your problems
00:31 and using their bones to tame wolves,
00:33 we can grab just two of these and then breed them up
00:35 until we have our own personal army.
00:37 And since we're not getting any trouble from creepers
00:39 now that we have our cat,
00:40 these wolves will be able to deal with the other mobs
00:42 that are giving us troubles.
00:43 You just might also wanna dye their collars
00:45 so that you can keep track of them.
00:46 Minecraft's only got the one breed of wolf,
00:48 it can get pretty easy to mix them up.
00:50 Stop worrying about getting a netherite sword
00:52 since the truth is that if you were to get yourself
00:54 just three cobblestone and two sticks,
00:56 you can actually deal more damage.
00:57 In fact, if you give them both of them sharpness five,
01:00 the stone axe will do 12 hit points per hit
01:02 whereas the netherite sword only deals 11.
01:04 And while I'm not saying that enchanting table's cheap,
01:06 I will say it's a lot cheaper than a netherite sword,
01:08 especially one that's also enchanted.
01:10 So as long as you keep your distance from mobs
01:12 and attack when your cooldown's gone down,
01:14 I think you'll find this will be plenty well for you,
01:16 especially on a game.
01:17 When you've got a bed but you don't have a house,
01:19 it can be tough to place it down
01:20 without having monsters nearby.
01:22 That is if you're on land.
01:23 Since strangers it may seem,
01:25 if you take your bed and place it
01:26 at the bottom of a body of water,
01:27 then as long as there's no drowns nearby,
01:29 you'll actually be able to sleep down there just the same.
01:32 And none of the hostile mobs that were chasing you on land
01:34 will be able to follow you down there.
01:36 So then when you wake up and swim to the surface,
01:38 you'll arrive with a whole bunch of zombies
01:39 and skeletons burning in the air,
01:41 which is all the reason that you should turn your bed
01:43 into a river bed or at least place it on one.
01:46 Sand is a useful resource,
01:47 but digging up that sand is a tedious chore.
01:49 So to solve that, don't waste your time
01:51 or your shovel mining sand.
01:52 Since the truth of the matter is
01:54 that if you just place down a single block of TNT,
01:56 you can easily collect a stack or more of sand
01:59 with each explosion.
02:00 And especially if you happen to cross a shipwreck chest
02:02 or one of the structures like a desert temple,
02:04 you'll have plenty of TNT anyways.
02:06 So this will be a worthwhile trade-off.
02:07 Instead of wasting your time to set up a furnace
02:09 and getting the fuel to smelt your food,
02:11 if you just carry around a sword and a flint and steel,
02:13 you can get it done just the same.
02:15 And with just that extra step of setting them on fire,
02:17 we can one hit kill it
02:18 and get ourselves perfectly cooked pork chops and steak.
02:21 There's a reason that speed runners do this.
02:22 And not to mention that once you get fire aspect
02:24 on your sword, doing this is even easier.
02:26 And you won't have to wait the 20 seconds
02:28 per cooking each pork chop when you have it ready.
02:30 Finding your way back out of a cave can be tough.
02:32 And while leaving a path of torches is definitely possible,
02:35 that's also burning through quite a bit of the coal
02:36 that you're going down there to mine in the first place.
02:38 So instead, silly as it may seem,
02:41 we should actually bring down a snow golem.
02:42 Now, hear me out.
02:43 If you tie one of these to a lead,
02:45 then we can drag it along and essentially create snow layers
02:47 as a path to lead us right back out of the cave,
02:50 which would be incredibly useful if you're mining so long
02:52 that your pickaxe breaks down in the caves.
02:54 Because while you can always dig up to get out of a cave,
02:56 that's a lot tougher to do when you have nothing to dig with.
02:58 And plus the snow golem will also be able
03:00 to throw off some snowballs,
03:01 maybe keep some other mobs away from you down in the caves,
03:04 giving you both a getaway and a ride or die.
03:06 Here's how to make an infinite water source
03:08 with just one water source block.
03:09 All you're gonna need is one bucket of water
03:11 and two pieces of kelp.
03:12 And while we dig out our regular two by two hole,
03:14 what we would do instead is place our water block
03:16 one block elevated on one of the corners.
03:19 And then with the two pieces of kelp
03:20 in the alternating corners like this,
03:22 you'll find that they turn the flowing water
03:23 into actual source blocks.
03:25 And there you go.
03:26 Even if you're in the driest of deserts,
03:27 you're gonna have infinite water for as long as you need it.
03:30 Potions are an underrated part of Minecraft survival.
03:32 And while it can definitely be a chore
03:33 to have to brew these up,
03:35 here's a way to cut back on that.
03:36 Since by just placing a hopper over top
03:38 of one of your brewing stands,
03:39 we can essentially queue up a playlist
03:41 of all the things that we're going to be adding
03:42 into our potion.
03:43 So right after the nether wart finishes,
03:45 it'll put in your ingredient
03:46 and then put in the modifier after that,
03:48 making this cheap and efficient.
03:50 Both adjectives that I like.
03:51 Here's why you should fight your wither inside of the end.
03:53 Now, not during the dragon fight,
03:55 that would just overcomplicate things,
03:57 but rather when you've killed the dragon,
03:58 then it's worth noting that if you spawn
04:00 in the wither sideways in this T shape,
04:02 it'll be trapped inside of the bedrock portal.
04:04 And now you can use all of your cheapest tools
04:05 to kill it off, even on harder difficulties.
04:08 XP is a valuable resource to have.
04:10 So you likely want to get a lot of it.
04:12 But getting a lot of XP doesn't mean
04:13 that you need to build yourself an XP farm.
04:15 Since the simple truth is that if you head over
04:17 to the nether, there's plenty of XP lying around
04:19 on the floor.
04:20 By just mining nether quartz ore,
04:22 I think you'll find this is one of the most effective ways
04:24 of gaining XP at a very high rate.
04:25 And it's a lot safer than having to kill a bunch of mobs.
04:28 Plus, nether quartz ore generates frequently
04:30 and in pretty big veins.
04:31 Both of which means that you're gonna get a lot
04:33 of this stuff too.
04:34 So while quartz is a crafting ingredient,
04:35 it might not be so useful if you're not building
04:37 a house of redstone.
04:38 Even if you don't keep any of the item itself,
04:40 I think this is still worth doing in your next playthrough.
04:43 If you need a lot of blocks fast, dirt is a good go-to.
04:45 It's easy to dig and it doesn't burn up
04:47 like leaves and other things.
04:48 But you don't have to worry about getting
04:50 an overpowered diamond shovel to be able to insta-mine this.
04:53 Since the real truth is that if you just have
04:55 a stone shovel enchanted with efficiency four,
04:57 that'll be fast enough to instantly mine grass, dirt,
04:59 and sand.
05:00 And while sure, the durability is nothing
05:01 to write home about, you have to remember
05:03 that we're homeless.
05:04 So we don't have much of a home to write back to anyway.
05:06 And that could still get you plenty of dirt
05:08 that you would actually need.
05:09 Especially for when you need to bridge
05:10 in other dimensions.
05:11 Or you could use that same stone shovel
05:13 with that snow golem to get a lot of blocks that way.
05:16 And even if your stone shovel's unenchanted,
05:18 you'll still be able to instantly mine
05:19 all of the snow layers at its feet
05:21 to get constant snowballs for making snow blocks.
05:24 But keep some of those as just snowballs too.
05:26 Since instead of using fire resistance potions
05:28 or a bow to kill a blaze,
05:30 this is actually a rare case where our snowballs
05:31 can do quite a lot of damage.
05:33 And if you carry enough stacks of 16 of these
05:35 in your inventory, you can clear out
05:36 a nether forge just pretty quick.
05:38 And get all the blaze rods that you would need
05:40 to beat the game.
05:41 And if you don't want to worry about carrying
05:42 around blocks at all, then it's worth mentioning
05:44 that with just two buckets,
05:46 that's all the blocks for pillaring that we ever need.
05:48 Since with two buckets of powdered snow
05:49 and a pair of leather boots on your feet,
05:51 we can place them both on top of the other
05:52 and then take the bottom one and then move it to the top.
05:55 Repeat as much as you want,
05:56 you can instantly scale up hundreds of blocks
05:59 without having to have hundreds of blocks on hand.
06:01 Instead of crafting a new bow
06:02 every time that you need a dispenser,
06:04 it's worth mentioning that in recent updates,
06:06 you're actually able to craft them with bows
06:08 that have as little as one durability point left.
06:10 And that way you can save resources
06:12 and recycle those old bows
06:13 that you're getting from skeletons.
06:15 Put the string to better use, like a fishing rod.
06:17 Since it's just one of these, we can easily kill ghasts.
06:20 As I craft MC shows off,
06:22 we're able to grab the big hit box of the ghast
06:23 and pull it right back down to our level.
06:25 At which point it does not take very many hits
06:27 with a sword or ax to kill this thing off.
06:29 And if you want to make things even easier and quicker,
06:31 just put the fishing rod inside your off hand
06:34 and you can dual wield your way to victory.
06:36 And hold on to that fishing rod
06:37 when you go back to the overworld.
06:38 Since if it's raining, you've got the perfect opportunity
06:41 to get yourself a bunch of loot and food.
06:43 Since fact of the matter is, if you fish outside,
06:45 that's already a benefit for fishing.
06:47 And then when it's raining, that goes even higher.
06:49 So even if you don't have fancy enchantments
06:51 like luck of the sea or lure on top of a fish rod,
06:53 I think you'll find this does the job well enough
06:55 to increase your rates.
06:56 If you're trying to get a lot of leaves,
06:57 then normally we would pick shears for that.
06:59 But with that same two iron and a couple of sticks,
07:02 I think you'll find that a hoe
07:03 actually does the job much better.
07:04 Now granted you need to add silk touch to it,
07:06 but even just having a hoe that's iron and above
07:09 is enough to instantly mine through any leaves.
07:11 Plus you'll also find the hoe to be a useful tool
07:13 for when you go down into an ancient city
07:15 or for even just grabbing hay bales on top of a village.
07:18 Really, unless you're trying to get wool from a sheep,
07:20 there's no reason to use shears instead of a hoe.
07:22 Even has better durability too.
07:24 Normally a night vision potion might seem excessive,
07:26 but while you might not want to use one of these
07:28 inside of a cave, you should try drinking one of these
07:30 the next time you go to an ocean.
07:31 Since with regular brightness settings,
07:33 by drinking one of these,
07:34 you can see straight through the ocean.
07:36 And that gives you an easy cheap way
07:38 to find things like geodes, ocean monuments,
07:40 and the real kicker, shipwrecks,
07:42 which themselves can lead you to a lot of food
07:44 as well as a lot of buried treasure.
07:46 And after finding enough of that,
07:48 you won't have to worry about finding cheap hacks.
07:49 You'll be pretty well to do.
07:51 Since with just a few of these shipwreck maps,
07:53 we can get ourselves a diamond tools
07:55 without ever having to touch a cave.
07:56 And then if you mix the diamonds that you're finding
07:58 from these loot chests,
07:59 as well as the obsidian they might get from something
08:01 like a ruined portal chest,
08:02 you can have yourself a fully functioning enchanting table.
08:05 And that way you can have fortune enchantments
08:06 for when you actually want to go down strip mining.
08:09 After all, if you're going to do something,
08:10 might as well do it right.
08:11 Let's face it, rails aren't cheap.
08:13 So instead of spending all of your iron ingots
08:15 on just getting a couple of these,
08:17 I think you'll have a much better time
08:18 if you just take the time to mine some of these
08:19 when you're down in a mine shaft.
08:21 That way we could save our iron ingots
08:22 for where they actually matter.
08:24 Now we've talked in the past about using mosses
08:26 as a way to clear through deep slate.
08:28 And that's still true with a bone meal and a stone hoe,
08:30 you can eviscerate the depths.
08:32 But I want to add on another reason
08:33 for why you should try this.
08:34 Since while the moss is able to convert deep slate,
08:37 it can't convert the ores.
08:39 And just at that little sticking point,
08:40 we're able to find the ores
08:41 that might've generated down there much easier,
08:43 which is great for diamonds,
08:45 considering that those have a higher chance
08:46 of generating underneath other blocks anyway.
08:48 So when you can instantly mine away the blanket
08:50 that the diamonds are sleeping under,
08:52 that'll be a lot better for your time and for your pickaxe.
08:54 And not to mention that just moss by itself
08:56 is a really useful block.
08:58 And as soon as we get our hands on this
08:59 from something like a shipwreck chest,
09:01 that gives us an easy path to have 10 new unique items
09:03 that just come from one single block.
09:05 Things like azalea and its variants,
09:07 as well as oak wood, leaves, hanging roots, rooted dirt,
09:10 all of that just from one block.
09:13 Not to mention that you can grind a lot of that
09:14 down in a composter to also get more bone meal.
09:17 Repeat the cycle, it gets pretty crazy.
09:19 And if you don't have arrows,
09:20 don't worry about crafting them.
09:21 Since while the materials look cheap,
09:23 they're actually pretty tough to get.
09:24 So instead, save that flint
09:26 and turn it into a fletching table
09:28 to get yourself all of the arrows you need
09:30 through a villager.
09:31 By just trading with a fletcher,
09:32 you can get a stack of arrows for only five emeralds.
09:35 And now you don't have to worry
09:35 about killing off the entire chicken population
09:38 just to get yourself a couple of these arrows.
09:40 And with that folks, YouTube thinks
09:41 that you might like this video.
09:42 So see if they're right and have a good one.
