00:00 Awesome, my name is Bon Kyle Hutter-Kanan. I'm here today because the fact that we're even having to put this
00:06 topic to vote makes me very upset.
00:08 My husband and I relocated to Orange three and a half years ago
00:12 on the promise that it was an inclusive
00:15 community.
00:17 Most of the community is.
00:19 I've had great employers. I've developed great friends networks here.
00:23 But the real sad thing is that at the end of the day
00:26 there is still homophobia and discrimination in this town.
00:30 Quite a lot actually, largely directed from church groups.
00:33 And so I guess I'm here today to make a stand and make a voice heard that
00:38 most of the community does not accept what is going on and that we really hope this festival goes ahead
00:44 for the sake of inclusion
00:46 and a bit of community harmony. So yeah, hopefully it goes through.
00:50 Perfect.
