00:00 On the 8th of March 2014, friends and relatives of those on board the Malaysia Airlines flight
00:06 MH370 waited as the plane was set to touch down in Beijing.
00:10 But it never did.
00:12 Barely an hour after departing from Kuala Lumpur, the flight vanished from civilian
00:17 radar screens.
00:19 Nearly 10 years later, Lee Eryu, whose 27-year-old son was on board, is still searching for answers.
00:27 "I believe my son is still on the flight, that he's still around.
00:33 Or he's living on a remote island like Robinson Crusoe.
00:37 That's what I've always believed."
00:41 His son was among the 239 passengers and crew on the aircraft, 153 of whom were Chinese
00:47 nationals.
00:48 In 2015, Malaysian authorities claimed the flight crashed into the southern Indian Ocean.
00:54 Debris from the aircraft washed ashore in various locations, but no definitive evidence
00:59 has been found.
01:01 In 2017, China, Australia and Malaysia stopped the search after it found no trace of the
01:06 plane.
01:08 Families are calling on Malaysia Airlines and the Malaysian government to continue the
01:12 search.
01:13 "We request that Malaysian Airlines resume the search.
01:17 The family members are willing to invest our own money to search and bear our own risks.
01:24 Because the plane won't appear on its own if we don't search for it.
01:28 There has been zero progress since 2018.
01:31 If this continues, there will never be an answer."
01:35 At the end of last year, a Beijing court began compensation hearings for Chinese relatives
01:40 of those on the flight.
