00:00 So your character, the first time we meet Agent Cooper, he's driving into Twin Peaks,
00:11 and to me that scene just really encapsulates the whole character.
00:14 It's one of the greatest introductions of a character.
00:16 It's so great.
00:17 What kind of direction did you get from David on that?
00:20 He just said, "Don't mess up."
00:24 I remember that that day, there was a lot of little fidgety bits of things.
00:28 I've got a tape recorder I'm talking into, I'm trying to drive, I've got a notebook
00:31 I've got to refer to, I've got these numbers, and I've got to go on, this whole thing.
00:34 So I really tried to get it in my head.
00:38 And then we get there to the day, and it's a tow rig, so I'm actually not driving, but
00:45 we had a short run, so we didn't have a real long distance before we had to turn around
00:49 and go back again.
00:50 So I had to get all this out fairly quickly.
00:52 I remember we ran through it just a couple times, not very much, and David, he'd always
00:56 be in the back of the rig ahead of us, so I could see him with his horn.

01:04 Do it better."
01:05 This is us teasing.
01:07 We very much have this sort of teasing relationship.
01:11 And I remember just kind of figuring, doing all the business, "Is it making sense?"
01:18 I wanted to make sure that it was.
01:21 And it did.
01:22 When I saw it, I was like, "Oh, that..."
01:26 I think it was just one angle, maybe.
01:29 I can't remember if there's two.
01:30 I think it is.
01:31 And they had the camera set, so I said, and I'm already going, "There's no escape here.
01:36 There's no cutaway."
01:37 I mean, you can cut outside the car, of course, which I think it did.
01:40 But I was like, "Okay, well, I better make it all work.
01:45 There's no way to get out of it."
01:47 And it was great in a deduction of the character.
01:49 It said so many things about him.
