00:05 Yeah, I haven't had a chance to talk to all.
00:08 Yeah, I've talked to Shonda a couple of times.
00:10 You know, I mean, both of those guys are really, really great guys.
00:12 I respect their games a lot.
00:14 You know, obviously everybody who's here,
00:16 it's hard to get to this point.
00:17 So, you know, they're really dedicated
00:19 and have a passion for the game.
00:22 So, yeah, I haven't really had an in-depth conversation with them,
00:25 but I can just tell by the way they carry themselves.
00:27 Hey, Steve, you were talking about competition
00:29 and I'm sure you enjoy it.
00:30 What do you like to compete in off the flip flops here?
00:33 I'm really big in video games, you know,
00:35 so I play a lot of Madden, 2K, UFC, Call of Duty.
00:39 So, you know, I compete in those games.
00:42 That's pretty much it, though, honestly.
00:43 You know, we don't do too much else.
00:45 I mean, I play a lot with my friends, so, you know,
00:47 I'm competitive in that nature.
00:48 But anything that you can really compete in, check.
00:51 Yeah, as I said earlier,
00:52 I think that needs to improve on just the mental aspects
00:54 around understanding how to play more consistently
00:56 and just being more aware.
00:58 But my strengths, I mean, I feel like I've been blessed
01:00 to have the ability to do it all and perform at a high level
01:03 in everything that I do.
01:04 So in that aspect, I feel that I'm only just improving from that.
01:08 I'm only just getting started.
01:10 What's your personality?
01:12 You feel like best to play left side, right side?
01:15 Yeah.
01:16 When I was at IMG, I played left tackle.
01:19 I really didn't even play the way that some people might think.
01:22 You know, I was really a defensive lineman.
01:24 I was, you know, top 10 in the country,
01:25 number three in my position.
01:27 And two weeks before the first game,
01:30 like three guys got hurt playing basketball,
01:32 all toward the ACL and MCL, crazy events.
01:35 So they asked me and Tyler Booker to play offensive line.
01:38 That was two weeks before the first game.
01:40 So I didn't even have this-- have an offseason at left tackle.
01:42 I just went out there and played.
01:43 And then I had that offseason COVID hit,
01:46 you know, a lot of things changed.
01:47 So, yeah, I mean, I started at left, got to Alabama,
01:52 and that's when Evan Neal was at left.
01:53 So I moved to right.
01:55 The same situation, didn't really get a lot of time
01:57 to train at it, but I just jumped in right away
01:59 and played a little bit of guard for that season.
02:02 So, I mean, whatever I needed to play,
02:04 I'll adapt and just get the job done.
02:07 Yes, sir.
02:08 How did that meeting go?
02:09 Yeah, it was another great meeting.
02:10 I was sent down right away.
02:12 And, you know, we looked at the athletes first
02:14 and talked about it and got engaged a little bit,
02:17 understood our offense, understood the games,
02:19 and just, you know, just a good place, highlights.
02:22 And then, yeah, we just built that communication
02:24 and got on and just getting on.
02:25 Everybody talks about the energy
02:27 Jonathan Gannon has in those meetings.
02:28 Did you get that feeling too?
02:29 Yeah, definitely.
02:30 As soon as I walked in, I mean, right away,
02:32 you know, he just had a lot of energy.
02:33 He just, you know, sat down, we just went right into it
02:35 and he was just energetic about everything.
02:37 And then what would it mean to block
02:38 for a guy like Kyler Murray?
02:39 Yeah, I mean, again, that's a dream come true.
02:42 Just playing Madden back in the day,
02:44 you know, just using him a lot, just scrambling around,
02:47 making great throws and running the ball.
02:49 I've been amazing.
02:50 What?
