00:00 So we're here at Ludlow Brewery with the Peter Girls.
00:03 Yay!
00:03 He he!
00:04 Says what it is on the tin.
00:06 Exactly.
00:06 And we're here at Ludlow Brewery because this has kind of become one of your little spots where you pop up regularly, isn't it?
00:13 Yep, we pop up here quite regularly. We were one of the first to pop up here a few years ago now.
00:17 It's one of our favourites.
00:18 Yes.
00:18 And you're local lassies.
00:20 Right, so you're both living in the town.
00:22 Yeah, the video goes online.
00:23 So they're quite big on the vids now.
00:25 Can you give us the full story? How did you get started? How long have you been started? How did you get to know each other? Go on.
00:31 We've been going for four years, haven't we?
00:33 Yep, we've been going for four years. Been friends for a very long time.
00:36 Yep.
00:37 And yeah, we built a... we went on a course to build a clay oven.
00:41 Yeah.
00:42 Built one in a garden and took it from there really.
00:45 Yep, we started inviting friends round because Sarah used to be a chef.
00:48 We started inviting friends round and they tried our pizza and said, "Girls, you should do this as a business."
00:52 And then our local pub, The Bennetts End Inn in Nobury, invited us down and we launched it, didn't we?
00:57 We did.
00:58 And we invited all the locals. We had over 100 people there. We were on in dates.
01:01 So initially when you built that oven in the garden, were you kind of... were you thinking this might be a business or were you just thinking this is a bit of fun, you know?
01:09 Bit of fun. Bit of fun at first, wasn't it?
01:10 Yeah.
01:11 Yeah, but then, yeah, when we invited friends round and they said how lovely they were and like... and we really enjoyed doing it.
01:16 It's so much fun. It's great.
01:18 It's completely free. It didn't cost a thing to make our first oven because all the clay.
01:22 Yeah.
01:23 Yeah.
01:24 And it's a cracking little set-up you've got here.
01:26 She's alright, ain't she?
01:27 Yeah, yeah. Who chose pink then?
01:28 Me.
01:29 [Laughs]
01:30 It does look...
01:31 You're risking.
01:32 Although she proclaims not to like pink before that.
01:34 Yeah.
01:35 It looks great, doesn't it? Especially with the neon as well, you know, at the back there.
01:40 So where can people see you then? So obviously Ludlow Brewery. Where other sort of places do you pop up?
01:45 We go in the Spring... Well, hopefully we go in the Spring Festival and the Food Festival if we get in there.
01:50 But we regularly go there. Shrewsbury Flower Show.
01:53 Yeah.
01:54 Hay on Wye... Sorry, sorry, um... Hereford Beer on the Wye.
01:58 Yeah.
01:59 Oh, yeah, yeah.
02:00 We pop up at village halls around. We go to Oldham. We regularly do a pop-up there because we started there in Covid as well, didn't we?
02:06 We did.
02:07 Yeah, lots of little villages just around here really.
02:09 And we do weddings.
02:11 Weddings?
02:12 We do do weddings. Available for weddings.
02:13 That's it. I've read this place.
02:16 So what's your favourite pizzas that you do, girls? Have you got a contentious on it?
02:20 Mine was a meat feast. We took the meat feast off now and swapped it for the signori.
02:24 Signori, which is also delicious. The nougat sausage.
02:27 Sounds right.
02:29 I think I'm partial to the goat's cheese.
02:31 And where do you stand on... Let's have a look. It's there, Hawaiian.
02:34 See, I like pineapple on a pizza, but a lot of people... Well, some people, it's kind of like that Marmite question, isn't it?
02:41 It is, yes.
02:42 Do you get many people ordering that?
02:43 Yes, it's very popular. It's on the menu. You've tried taking it off.
02:47 All the time I've tried taking it off.
02:49 Yeah, yeah. So what's... You know, the people of Shropshire, have they got a particular topping, a particular pizza that they tend to go for? Are they adventurous?
02:57 Well, we're doing this... We do the new Hunter's Chicken now, which is your barbecue-based chicken and bacon.
03:02 They love this topping.
03:03 I think because there's a lot of hunters here and it's great.
03:07 Yeah, yeah. So that's going down well.
03:09 Yeah.
03:10 So your next gig, where can we see you next then?
03:13 I think we're here. We're here on the 6th of May at the brewery.
03:16 So keep people... Keep their eyes peeled.
03:19 And what's it like? You know, sometimes a good friendship, they say you shouldn't get money involved in a good friendship.
03:25 Well, you better have got it to business together.
03:27 Yeah.
03:28 It's all... You getting on all right?
03:30 Yes.
03:31 Yes!
03:32 Because there's some sharp knives you play about with in there, isn't there?
03:36 There is sharp knives. We do have a few tips and a few arguments.
03:38 But they're quickly gone.
03:41 Actually, do you still eat pizza? Or do you spend... You know, have you kind of overindulged?
03:47 Well, when we start around March, April, I'll probably have a pizza.
03:50 But then when it comes to June, no pizza.
03:52 Yeah, you've had your fill.
03:54 Yeah, done.
03:55 Well, good luck in business, ladies.
03:56 Thank you.
03:57 Thank you.
