00:00 Hey, I'm Gemma from Scoff Paper and I make edible cards for dogs.
00:04 I'm based here in Buckshaw Village in Lancashire.
00:09 And you may or may not have just seen me on Dragon's Den,
00:14 so I just wanted to fill you in on some of the goss.
00:18 So after two gruelling hours of being questioned about everything in my business,
00:25 I actually managed to get investment from Sarah Davies,
00:29 which I am literally buzzing about.
00:32 I actually filmed it last May and it only aired in February.
00:38 So Sarah's been here to the Scoff face, we've been up to the northeast
00:43 and we've been working with each other for quite a few months now.
00:47 And honestly, she's the nicest person and somebody who I really feel like I'll benefit from working with.
00:55 So as well as making edible cards for dogs, I'm a volunteer puppy raiser for Guide Dogs.
01:02 This is Bert! Oh, thanks Bert!
01:08 We've literally been non-stop with orders since we aired on Dragon's Den,
01:14 which is like an amazing feeling and it's definitely keeping us busy, isn't it Bert?
01:21 So we've been getting loads of orders across the UK and from lovely retailers,
01:26 independent pet specialists, gift stores, greeting card stores, enquiries overseas
01:34 and generally the feedback has been amazing and I think the best thing of all for me
01:40 is that people got to see me for the person that I am and liked it.
01:46 I'm so glad that I did Dragon's Den, even though it was the most stressful thing I think I've ever put myself through.
01:52 I'm glad it's over and I'm glad of the opportunity that it's given me.
01:57 And I suppose the best thing of all is that I'm going to be able to take on more staff
02:02 in the local area to help build this little business. Yippee!
